Exclusive: HBO Max has rounded out its cast of series regulars for comedy pilot Wild Life, which is fronted by Izabella Alvarez in the role of Ciara.
The cast includes Nadine Velazquez (Queens), Annie Funke (The Offer), Nabeel Muscatwalla (Good Trouble), Ava Lalezardeh (The Pursuit), Brielle Barbusca (Young Sheldon), Cyrus Arnold (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Jessi Case (Mother’s Day), Chrystal Campbell, and Beau Minnier.
From writers and executive producers Jason Ubaldi, Chris Peterson, and Bryan Moore, Wild Life follows a diverse group of high school teens who are struggling with personal and social issues who spend their school hours working at the local animal rescue as part of an alternative educational program.
While comedy comes from their quirky offbeat personalities and the unique setting of “high school at the animal rescue,” the series also will have heart as working with animals helps them deal with their personal issues with friends and at home.

Growing up is about learning from your mistakes. Part of that process is, of course, making those mistakes in the first place. The new movie Big Time Adolescence leans into this aspect of the coming of age story with a surprising amount of effectiveness. On the surface, this Sundance Film Festival alumni appeared like an independent vehicle for Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson. Instead, it’s more than that, deftly mixing comedy and drama to tell a rather impactful story. Moreover, it showcases some solid chops from Davidson, making his upcoming starring vehicle from Judd Apatow something to really look forward to. In true teen comedy tradition, this is about the influence on a good kid that a “bad” one has. It just happens to zig when it otherwise might have zagged. Mo (Griffin Gluck) has always looked up to Zeke (Davidson), going back to when he was...

"Team Dally & Spanky!" From the "I can't believe this is really real" collection. Sony Pictures has debuted a trailer for an adorable, campy movie titled Adventures of Dally & Spanky, the feature debut of director Camille Stochitch. The "family-friendly film" tells the story of the friendship between Dally and Spanky, a miniature horse and a miniature Jack Russell Terrier. Yes, of course, this is actually based on the real-life friendship between these two. There is not much of a plot, but they do eventually bring this dog and horse combo to Hollywood in hopes of winning a live TV talent show. The film stars Brenna D'Amico, Reylynn Caster, Elaine Hendrix, Timothy Hornor, Trace Adkins, Brielle Barbusca, Kylee Russell, Jake Busey, Alexie Gilmore, and Denise Richards. This looks pretty awful, but I can't help share it anyway. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Camille Stochitch's Adventures of Dally & Spanky, on...
