New Delhi, Dec 14 (Ians) India’s top para powerlifters including Commonwealth Games gold medallist Sudhir will be out to end the year on a high when the Fazza 12th Dubai 2022 Para Powerlifting World Cup gets underway at the Dubai Club for People of Determination on Thursday.
Sudhir will be joined by former World Championships bronze medallist Parmjeet Kumar (men’s up to 65kg), Paralympians Farman Basha (men’s upto 54kg) and Shakina Khatun (women’s up to 45kg) in the 13-member Indian team who will be seeking for the all-important world ranking points in the qualification to Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
“This year has been very good. I want to continue the momentum and qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympics in under 97kg, which is my main target here in Dubai,” said Sudhir, who will compete against the likes of Paralympic champion Jordan’s Abdelkareem Khattab and local star Mohammed Khamis Khalaf in the category.

New Delhi, May 24 (Ians) Online higher education company upGrad on Monday announced it has acquired video-enabled learning solutions provider Impartus, committing over Rs 150 crore towards the buyout as well as to boost its growth.
Impartus, now a 100 per cent subsidiary of upGrad, has been rebranded as ‘upGrad Campus'.
‘upGrad Campus' will target higher education institutions and college students, with its learning tools and world-class content, in an integrated solution, the company said in a statement, aiming to close the financial year 2022 with nearly Rs 85 crore revenue.

New Delhi, March 11 (Ians) Microsoft on Thursday announced that two team of Indian students teams have advanced to "2021 Microsoft Imagine Cup Finals" -- an annual innovation contest for students and technology enthusiasts.
The two winning teams -- Team Detectd from G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur and Team Intelli-Sense from the Vellore Institute of Technology -- focused on cybersecurity to counter deepfakes (Team Detectd) and assistive technology for people with low vision (Team Intelli-Sense).

Bengaluru, March 2 (Ians) Flipkart on Tuesday said it has expanded its grocery services to more than 50 cities via Marketplace, and aims to reach over 70 cities in the next six months.
Flipkart's grocery business has witnessed 3 times growth in the last one year and the expansion will boost market linkages for food processing industry and farmers, the company said in a statement.
Grocery continues to be one of the fastest-growing categories, with the increase in demand for quality food and household supplies from users.
"We have witnessed increased demand for groceries from tier 2 cities in the past year, fuelled by customers increasing preference for contactless shopping, from the comforts of their home.
