Exclusive: Cierra Ramirez has joined the cast of indie feature The Re-Education of Molly Singer in a leading role. Ramirez will portray the character of Lindsay, a college student who finds herself caught up in a love triangle.
She joins previously announced cast members Britt Robertson, Ty Simpkin, Nico Santos, Holland Roden, Jaime Pressly, and Wendie Malick.
Robertson stars as the titular Molly, a former college party girl who in her latter professional career as an attorney has just botched her biggest case due to her inability to let go of her hard-partying lifestyle. Rather than firing her, Molly is tasked by her overbearing and controlling boss Brenda (Pressly) to re-enroll at her old alma mater, to befriend her socially awkward son, Elliot (Simpkins), and guide him through an already tumultuous freshman year. Elliot and Ramirez’s Lindsay attend the same school.
Todd Friedman and Kevin Haskin penned the script.

*here be major spoilers. Director: Jourdan McClure. Writers: Ryan Finnerty and Kevin Haskin. Cast: Michelle Page, Art Alexakis, Chris Coy, Michael Cudlitz, Lucinda Jenney, and Bill Moseley. Tagline: "Still waters run deep." Rogue River is the second project that this reviewer has seen from Kejo Productions. The other was a thriller titled Sensored starring Robert Picardo. Sensored was a entertaining outing. Rogue River is less thrilling and more predictable. Even a theme of incest only creates a few unsettling moments. This film, which clocks in at a mere eighty-one minutes, is not really recommended for horrors fans seeking something really frightening. The film follows Mara (Michelle Page) on her journey to bury her father's ashes. She is interrupted by a friendly man, Jon (Bill Moseley). He wants to help her after her car has been stolen. Or, does he want to help himself to Mara when he has her back at an isolated cabin?...

Synopsis:
While spreading the ashes of her father along the stunning Rogue River, Mara (Michelle Page) bumps into pleasant local Jon (Bill Moseley) who befriends and consoles her over warm conversations about his life. When the two head back to their cars, Mara notices her own has mysteriously vanished and with sundown quickly approaching, she reluctantly takes Jon up on his offer of warm hospitality for the night. She’s soon going to wish she didn’t.
It might be easy to dismiss Rogue River as yet another derivative torture film - “Torture Porn” is just a ridiculous term which I will never use – but I urge you not to because this little twisted nightmare is well worth your time.
Okay, so it does feel that tiny bit familiar and when the craziness is dialled up a few notches, every torture film you’ve ever...

Rogue River
Stars: Michelle Page, Bil Moseley, Lucinda Jenney, Michael Cudlitz | Written by Kevin Haskin, Ryan Finnerty | Directed by Jourdan McClure
Taking a trip into the wilds of Oregon to scatter her fathers ashes at Rogue River (hence the title), Californian Mara (Page) finds her car towed by the local Sheriff. However all is not lost as a kindly passing stranger, played by Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2‘s Bill Moseley, offers to give her a lift, which she begrudgingly accepts. Big mistake…
Yes, no points for guessing what happens next as Rogue River is as cliched as they come – Mara is kidnapped and both emotionally and physically tortured by good-old-by Jon and his cohort Lea, played Moseley and his real-life wife Lucinda Jenney respectively, before being subjected to a degrading act of copulation with her own brother who has come to find her! Of course this being your typical torture/rape/revenge flick,...

Nothing could be creepier than waking up in the middle of night to a partially nude Bill Moseley. The latest trailer for Kejo Production's and Vision Entertainment's Rogue River scares viewers with more than just that, however. Characters Jon (Moseley) and Lea (Lucinda Jenney) terrorize a grief stricken Mara (Michelle Page) morning, noon and night. Lea and Jon remove clothes and wigs to shock audiences and to make Mara wish she had parked her car somewhere else, somewhere much farther away from Oregon's beautiful Rogue River.
Have a look at the newest film poster for Rogue River, which has added some details since the original, posted here (Rogue River Original Film Art). As well, Dread Central has debuted a much fuller trailer for this horror thriller, which shows more of actress Michelle Page and too much of Moseley. The film clip is below.

Bill Moseley and Michael Rooker have untied the boat and are looking to bring some terror to the screen with Rogue River. The flick comes from first time director Jourdan McClure and will also star Michelle Page, Chris Coy, Michael Cudlitz, Lucinda Jenney and Art Alexakis (from the band Everclear)...
The flick is written by Kevin Haskin and Ryan Finnerty and follows a woman whose car has gone missing after she takes a trip down the Rogue River. She's lost with no car and no phone and has to take the offer of a stranger to stay in his cabin for the night. Now she'll be subjected to hours of torture, indescribable pain and horrific agony. Sounds like a typical Saturday around here!
There's no release date yet but the film has hit a few festivals and will be distributed by Archstone. Take a look at the trailer below.

Sensored DVD Art
*Here be spoilers.
Director: Ryan Todd.
Writer: Kevin Haskin.
Producer: Jo Haskin.
Sensored is a film from Kejo Productions, which had a DVD release April 6th, 2010. The film is being distributed by Hannover House and this is director Ryan Todd's first time behind the camera. Written by Kevin Haskin and produced by wife Jo, Sensored is a character study of a writer and the imaginary processes of writing. The addition of interesting characters, horrifying, tortuous scenes, and a plot device involving a CIA interrogation agent are all a device to show the infinite possibilities of creativity.
The film begins with the introduction of a well dressed Robert Picardo as Wade Mixon. The next several characters introduced are figments of the mind and, really, characters of Mixon's, or writer Kevin Haskin's, imagination. This insight will come for most viewers in the middle as secondary character's seem...

At the 2010 Gasparilla International Film Festival, one of the themes going through my mind was, "So many films, so little time." Every night, the festival had at least one or two features that highlighted the night. Screening before each feature length flick were shorts (films 20 minutes or less). Many of those were produced right here in Tampa. We'll get to those later this week.
Being a movie reviewer and apart of critic associations, all the new releases come my way. What you may not know is that many of these wide releases one sees in the theater, started out in film festivals just like the ones being discussed here. Instead of doing the usual formal review that my readers have become accustomed to. We are giving these flicks the capsule review treatment. Hopefully a formal review will happen if these flicks get picked up by studios for a wide distribution.

The synopsis for Sensored:
"Children's book author Wade Mixon is trying to keep his frayed mind from unraveling. His stability and lucidity are in question, and his thoughts are increasingly being invaded by the terror of this murderous past and present. Wade's battle with his own demons causes him to believe there is a conspiracy against him.

Director Jourdan McClure's film Rogue River has unveiled a nostalgic looking poster that captures what the film is all about, entrapment. This Kejo Production stars Michelle Page (Burying the Ex), Bill Moseley (The Graves), Michael Rooker (Penance) and Chris Coy (True Blood). The story, as previously reported, involves character Mara (Page) being abducted by Jon (Moseley) under false pretenses. Why does Moseley almost always get to play the villain? Now that the film has completed production details on Rogue River will be coming often. Revisit the synopsis below.

Rogue River, starring Bill Moseley and Michael Rooker, is moving into post-production, with some early details filtering this way. The film also stars Michael Cudlitz (Surrogates) and Art Alexakis (Detroit Rock City). The story involves character Mara returning to her hometown to bury her recently deceased father. Things start off bad, for Mara, and unfortunately get worse as Jon (Bill Moseley) lures her back to his abode, with tales of his own loss. Sci-fi star Robert Picardo is making his way into the horror genre with upcoming roles in Trail of Blood, Awakened, and the recently completed Sensored. This film will be on DVD and Blu-ray formats February 2nd (see above). Fans of horror will want to check out this trailer for Sensored, as Robert Picard, a Star Trek and Stargate Sg-1 alumni, suffocates, tortures, and basically makes a bloody mess of his basement and neighbours.
