Roger Spendlove
- Cinematographer
- Director
- Producer
Born and reared in the Mile High City of Denver Colorado, Roger knew he
wanted to make movies after experiencing the wonder and magic of a true
CINERAMA 3-screens-wide showing of How the West Was Won (1962). He attended SMU in Dallas,
Texas to earn a B.F.A. in Cinema Production, and a B.A. in
English-Creative Writing (plus a minor in Medieval Studies!). But he
was not yet ready to embark upon a filmmaking career, so the Lord led
him aside for a few years to meet his wife, and then his Savior. After
kickin' around Texas and Colorado for 12 years, the Lord called him to
Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia to start anew.
While at Regent, Roger has had the honor of learning from excellent professors, and serving on many student productions: Director of Photography on "RPS", "Let's Make You Something You're NOT!", "Flowers", "In Passing", and others. He's also served as Camera Assistant on "SYN", and the independent feature film Judges (2006).
In directing Justice for All (2005), he was blessed with an awesome cast of professional actors, and a full-scale crew of eager and talented students. Let's giddyup! Y'all!
