Rudy Boesch, a retired United States Navy Seal who competed in two seasons of CBS’ Survivor, has died at age 91 due to complications from Alzheimer’s Disease, People reports.
Boesch was 72 years old when he began his Survivor career on the reality competition series’ very first season (aka Survivor: Borneo) in 2000. Despite being significantly older than his fellow competitors, Boesch proved that age isn’t everything, ultimately finishing in third place behind Kelly Wiglesworth and Richard Hatch.

Shares of Huayi Brothers’ stock dropped 8% on Wednesday after the Chinese movie studio had to indefinitely postpone “The Eight Hundred” that potentially ran into censorship issues with the country’s ruling Communist leadership.
The movie, which highlights Chinese resistance to Imperial Japan’s 1937 invasion, was set to hit theaters nationwide on July 5. But that opening was abruptly canceled, with the movie’s official Weibo account — China’s version of Twitter — failing to provide a reason for its sudden postponement or share a new release date, according to Bloomberg. The cancellation comes soon after the movie was pulled, at the last moment, from making its premiere at the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival on June 15.
Huayi Brothers, one of the country’s top film producers, closed the day trading at about 5 Chinese yuan per share, or the equivalent of about 75 cents. The company trades on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Altogether, Huayi...

Jon Moxley, formerly Dean Ambrose in WWE, just took his previous employer to the woodshed on fellow All Elite Wrestling (Aew) wrestler Chris Jericho’s podcast. Moxley, whose real name is Jonathan David Good, ripped ex-boss Vince McMahon less than a month after he left the world’s top sports entertainment company.
Among the things Good took issue with during his WWE tenure, the former “Lunatic Fringe” blamed McMahon for some of those promo lines Ambrose spoke about former Shield-mate Roman Reigns’ real-life cancer. Good referred to them as “very distasteful.”
“I went: ‘I’m not saying– are you kidding me?'” Good recalled thinking Wednesday on “Talk Is Jericho.” “‘This is clearly a mistake.'”

Ambrose says he took his complaint to McMahon in a production meeting, where the WWE chairman pulled a “Vince Jedi-Mind Trick” and convinced him the promo wasn’t “so bad.

Just days earlier, Ashley Nolan's immunity necklace was as good as Devon's, but on Wednesday's episode of Survivor, their alliance went kaput.
The 26-year-old lifeguard definitely proved that she had the strength to win challenges and the smarts to create strong alliances, but those alliances clearly weren't as strong as she thought.
"When [Devon and Chrissy] picked Ryan for the reward is when it first struck me as odd. I was like, 'Ok. There's a good chance that I just lost him,' but I was trying to be optimistic, and in my head, I was like, 'Maybe he's going to work for both of us. Maybe he's going to make some moves for both of us against Ben or against Mike,'" Ashley told Et over the phone on Thursday. "But when they got back, everything seemed different."

Fans weren't the only ones shaking their heads at Lauren Rimmer for being eliminated on Wednesday's episode of Survivor with (half) an idol and an advantage in her pocket.
"[My sister has] cussed me out two or three times," Lauren told Et over the phone on Thursday. "She's called me a dummy and a few other things."
The North Carolina native's sister, Sunny, had been her No. 1 supporter throughout the game, and even dragged her to the open casting call that led to her joining the game. While Sunny didn't make the cut, Lauren promised that she would "share every minute that I could with her, and that I would do my best to get her to the family visit." Lauren made good on that promise, and Sunny was flown out to Fiji to reunite with her sister just in time for her torch to be snuffed.

1.15 Solitude
The frequency with which I declare an episode of Supergirl the best yet it getting a bit silly, but that's mainly because we started out with such a good concept so badly done that, when those pieces come together in any kind of compelling way, it's worth pointing out. We want the show to be its best self, but it hasn't always arrived there. This episode, however, is one of the better examples of what the series can do.
It's not without its problems, of course, as the campiness of the show can more often than not make the special effects look a bit naff. Indigo, for example, looks incredibly silly, and that's before she stretches her arms in order to turn two keys...

Once you've watched Daniel Craig's latest James Bond outing Spectre - and let's face it, you're going to watch Spectre - one of the many questions on your lips will be "So who played Mr Hinx?"
The answer, as the credits, IMDb and the photocall will tell you, is former wrestler Dave Bautista.
So for a little bit more background on one of Bond's most intimidating foes, here's Digital Spy's newcomer's guide to the human embodiment of "Big Dave".
His wrestling career
A 46-year-old, 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), 278 lb (126 kg) man mountain of Filipino and Greek descent, Bautista has gone by many other names over the course of his wrestling career, including Batista (note spelling), Dave Batista, Deacon Batista, Khan and Leviathan.
As a wrestler, Bautista has claimed so many titles it's almost ridiculous. He is a six-time world champion, winning the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice.

This season of "The Amazing Race" is just struggling with producing drama. Although yes, two teams have started Legs in first and ended them in last, the more frequent result this season has been teams starting Legs in last and stumbling along for an hour without ever really coming in contact with anybody else and then going home. It happened with Libby & Cj. It happened with Harley & Jonathan. And it happened again in Friday (April 17) night's double-episode that could just as easily have been titled "You Know The First Hour Is a Non-Elimination, But At Least The Scenery Is Beautiful." Indeed, Friday's Namibia episodes were probably "The Amazing Race" at its most beautiful. There were boundless deserts, bounding wildlife and some of the best photography the show has utilized. At no point did I ever feel like Friday's episodes were anything less than gorgeous to gaze upon and thus I...

"The Amazing Race" returned on Friday (April 3) night and while I didn't exactly forget that the Emmy-winning series was back, I realized almost immediately during the pre-credit recap that I barely remembered anything about where we'd left things several weeks back. Bergen & Kurt won the last Leg? How the heck did that happen? Was anybody especially good? Was anybody especially bad? I know CBS had to air the Ncaa Tournament, but "The Amazing Race" isn't a hit anymore and this season has been a wobbly, albeit sometimes amusing, experiment. And pulling a struggling show in a unsteady season is a pretty dismal way to maintain momentum. Fortunately, most of what I was and wasn't liking about the season came back pretty early in Friday's episode, which was funny and entertaining in moments, but also exposed the absolutely worst case scenario for this blind dating season. [Full recap after the break...] I suppose one might think...

I liked a lot of Friday (March 13) night's episode of "The Amazing Race," but maybe I didn't like it as an episode of "The Amazing Race," if you know what I mean. No? I really did find myself getting a kick out of all of the bickering couples, but I may just have been amused by how silly they made this season's twist/theme look. I enjoyed some of the things the pairs were getting to do, even though they didn't feel like "Amazing Race" kinds of things to do. And I found myself really rooting for the team that went home, even though I never felt for a second like they had any chance of cheating their fate again... More after the break... So for the third consecutive episode, the team that started the Leg in last ended the Leg in last and, for the third consecutive episode, that...

This week, World Wrestling Entertainment has celebrated SmackDown’s 15th birthday by looking back at its greatest matches, moments, feuds and Superstars. While names such as Kurt Angle, Edge, The Undertaker, Big Show, Brock Lesnar and Batista have been thrown around regularly, and rightfully so. Those competitors dominated the brand for a great portion of its decade-plus long existence and cemented their legacies as the greatest stars in the show’s history. But SmackDown has never exclusively been a boy’s club. On the contrary; SmackDown was meant to be a showcase for the WWE Divas, who were a major part of the success of the Attitude Era and key to the popularity of Vince McMahon’s company with the ever-important 18-35 male demographic. And since its inception in August 1999, it has been home to some of the most popular and successful female performers in WWE history.

The Undertaker’s 21-0 Wrestlemania undefeated streak is the last great record in professional wrestling. No male superstar will ever again match Bruno Sammartino’s combined 4,040 days as Wwwf champion. No wrestler regardless of gender will ever touch the Fabulous Moolah’s legendary 27-year reign as Women’s Champion. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever see the “Honky-Meter” again during an Intercontinental Championship reign. And no other wrestler it seems will be able to come close to the Phenom’s streak of wins at the “grandest stage of all.”
But he isn’t the only undefeated superstar at Wrestlemania. Sure, he’s undefeated with the most matches, but 16 other superstars have at least a 2-0 record (one victory does not a streak make) or better (not counting pre-show losses or Battle Royal eliminations.) Who are the others who can claim to...

Before the dawn of the PG Era, it wasn’t uncommon for the Divas to engage in a match-up that would end with the humiliation of their opponents and the expanding of their own vanity: the Bra & Panties Match!
When the PG Era took over, this popular match type was one of the first things to vanish along with the Evening Gown Match and their distant cousins the Lingerie Match, the Paddle-on-a-Pole Match, and every match ever contested in a trough of mud, gravy, eggnog, or pudding.
Although the PG Era may have killed the more risque matches, that doesn’t mean we can’t pay homage to them. Here we will be counting down WWE’s Top 22 Most Titillating T&A Matches. Matches that got everyone’s hearts racing and even had us laughing a time or two. Just to make things clear, we are only taking into account matches,...

There are currently three different shows that I look forward to on three different nights on MTV. Three. And that’s not including when Catfish is on, or when the tragically though understandably cancelled Buckwild earned a DVR season pass last year.
I am currently watching—and what’s more, I’m eagerly anticipating—as many MTV shows now as I did in high school, when watercooler talk was discussing a Road Rules challenge in first-period bio or raving at lunch about the True Life episode where they go to fat camp. The Initia-who?
The first episode of Revenge‘s third season gets rid of everything unpleasant about the last go-around (adios, Carrion!), introduces some intriguing new folks (bonjour, Margaux and hellllllo Patrick) and reminds us why we rooted for Emily Thorne in the first place. (That last one comes via a huge assist from Nolan; if Revenge were a Nicholas Sparks novel, Mr. Ross, you would be its true north. But then you’d also probably contract a fatal disease or die in a horrific accident, which would seriously bum me out.)
But the more things change, the more they still...

While "Survivor" continues to trot out an assortment of returning players and stealth stars, "The Amazing Race" announced its 23rd cast on Wednesday (August 28) morning with a group that eschews fame and familiarity for freshness and diversity. There are some recognizable names, of course. NFL fans might know former players and teammates Chester Pitts II and Ephraim Salaam and while baseball aficionados may not know Nicky Getz and Kim DeJesus, their husbands Chris and David might ring a bell if you're in a really deep fantasy league. The newly announced cast also includes NHL ice dancers Ashley &...

Justin Hartley has been tapped to play a major role in the upcoming third season of ABC’s Revenge. The former Smallville and Emily Owens MD star will play Patrick, the long-lost son of Victoria (Madeline Stowe), in a multi-episode arc that was a hot one to nab around town. E! first reported the news. His addition is the latest most on the ABC soapy drama, which recently opted not to return Ashley Madekwe’s character Ashley to the cast for next season. It also said goodbye to Connor Paolo, whose character Declan Porter died in the Season 2 finale. The ABC Studios series also will have a new showrunner in Sunil Nayar, after Revenge creator/executive producer/showrunner Mike Kelley departed. Hartley’s repped by Innovative Artists. Raul Esparza is being bumped up to series regular on NBC’s Law & Order: Svu. He plays Assistant Da Rafael Barba on the Wolf Films/Univeral Television drama,...

Justin Harley has been cast on Revenge in a crucial role, and multi-episode arc, this fall.
We'll meet him in the Revenge Season 3 premiere as Patrick, Victoria's long lost son.
The Revenge Season 2 finale ended with a bang as Patrick appeared at the Graysons' door. We never saw his face, but the mere sight of him shocked Victoria to the point where her glass shattered on the floor.
Revenge fans don't know much about Patrick, but we do know Vicki gave birth to him at 16 and then gave him away to a nun when he was only six months old so that she could attend art school in Paris.
When Patrick started looking for Victoria, she handled it like you'd expect, paying him $5 million to disappear. Guess that didn't take, because after teasing us at length, the show dropped the bombshell in May.
ABC previously confirmed that Ashley Madekwe (Ashley...

It was a split second that changed the lives of everyone in the Storch family - and one they used to change millions of lives. On the last ski run of the day on March 15, 2010, Taylor Storch, 13, along with her father, Todd and brother, Ryan, was excited to be on the beautiful Colorado slopes. "We were stopping to take pictures, everyone was smiling and laughing and Taylor was having a blast," says Todd, 44, of his Coppell, Texas, family, all of whom wore helmets. Then his teenage daughter lost control and hit a tree. "We went from it being the most amazing trip ever,...

The Carrie Diaries, Season 1, Pilot
Written by Amy B. Harris
Directed by Miguel Arteta
Airs Mondays at 8pm (Et) on the CW
The CW knows how to do two things; Sexy action heroes (Supernatural, Smallville, Nikita) and your classic beautiful-teens-coming-of-age-in-a-very-specific-setting tale (90210, Hart of Dixie,Vampire Diaries). After losing Gossip Girl and gaining Arrow, The Carrie Diaries (the story of a young girl struggling through adolescents all while falling in love with the city), appears to be the perfect vehicle to round up those misplaced fashionistas while picking up a whole new generation Manhattan dreamers.
The notable difference to the CW’s latest teen drama fare is that it’s wrapped up as a prequel to HBO’s much loved Sex and the City. A point in which The CW really tries to drive home only to drop you off a few stops short. The story follows a 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw...

Silliest Gossip: Proving that sometimes, reality TV really is just like real life, The Bachelorette’s Ali and Roberto hooked up at the wedding of fellow contestants J.P. and Ashley.
Why CBS Execs Are Freaking Out: CSI got the lowest numbers in its history, meaning they’re going to have to start figuring out how to spin-off some of their other shows.
