- Lee Chen was referred by her friend to director Orestes Matacena to audition for the role of Chinese Chairman's wife for the feature film "Two de Force", but the role was already cast at the time. She is from China and has firearm experiences and does Shaolin Kung Fu, so Orestes wrote a part for her to fire a machine gun in the film. She never read the script and improvised her role in Chinese on the set with Orestes' directions.
- Graduated from University of Hawaii with a MFA in Theatre and Dance where she studied Beijing Opera and Balinese Dance among other subjects (1995-1998).
- Lee Chen's original one woman show "Life Flies" was awarded a $10,000 grant by the Palmer Foundation of Florida to tour in Honolulu and Los Angeles areas from 1998-1999. The show was written and performed by Lee Chen and directed by Joyce Lu about Lee's life growing up in communist China then becoming an actress in the U.S.
- Studied acting with Jeremy Piven's parents Bryne and Joyce Piven at the Piven Workshop Theatre, Evanston, IL from 1990-1993.
- Lee danced in Eminem's music video "Venom" showing up at 3:12 to 3:20 in 2018. She didn't know who Eminem was at the time of the audition and thought she was going for a M&M chocolate commercial audition.
