"Something happened at the speakeasy." A trailer has arrived for an indie sci-fi thriller titled The Tangle, from actor / filmmaker Christopher Soren Kelly making his feature directorial debut. Described as a "lyrical new science-fiction film" and quotes in the trailer say it's "a chess game of a film" that's both ingenious and ambitious, a complex story intertwining sci-fi with meticulous filmmaking. The film is set in a future where microdrones have been invented, filling the air, the water, and our blood. "In this world, it is impossible to keep a secret anywhere but in your S.O.L. (the "Secure OnTangle Line"), a quantum encrypted hard drive implanted in your brain." The plot follows a murder investigation involving secret government agents and The Tangle creators and more. Starring Joshua Bitton, Christopher Soren Kelly, Jessica Graham, Nicole da Silva, Anil Kumar, Mary Jane Wells, and Bel Deliá. This looks cool, I'm curious to watch.

The hunt for the legendary Bigfoot continues to inspire filmmakers and storytellers and we’ve got a trailer for a new film for you to check out today called Hoax.
The film follows a team who travels “deep into the wilderness after a group of young campers are viciously murdered and linked to Bigfoot. The highly specialized crew search for evidence and fight to survive the powerful beast. If they work together they may live to prove the existence of bigfoot, but what they discover may be more unexpected and dangerous than anything they could have imagined.”
Bigfoot is out for blood, though, and primed to kill anyone who comes after him. The horror film actually looks like it could be pretty brutal. This could end up being a surprisingly good film!
The cast includes Adrienne Barbeau, Brian Thompson, Ben Browder, Cheryl Texiera, Shoshana Bush, Hutch Dano, Matt Reidy, Anthony Ray Parker,...

"There's something moving, I don't know what it is!" Epic Pictures has unveiled an official trailer for the "this summer's biggest horror film" titled Hoax, another new bigfoot horror movie that looks quite gnarly. The film is about an investigative team that travels deep into the wilderness after a group of young campers are viciously murdered and linked to Bigfoot. If they work together they may live to prove the existence of Bigfoot, but what they discover may be more unexpected & dangerous than anything they could've imagined. Scary. The main ensemble cast includes Adrienne Barbeau, Brian Thompson, Ben Browder, Cheryl Texiera, Shoshana Bush, Hutch Dano, Matt Reidy, Anthony Ray Parker, Christopher Soren Kelly, Ryan Lee, Max Decker, Brian Landis Folkins, Karen Slack, & Shawn Rickel. This actually looks surprisingly quite epic, like they're trying to pull off making Predator for Bigfoot on an indie budget. When astronaut Dave Bowman engaged in his battle of wits with the malfunctioning Hal-9000 in Stanley Kubrick’s seminal 2001: A Space Odyssey, the whole notion of humans interacting with computers on a mundane, conversational level was still in the realm of science fiction. Fifty years on from 2001’s release, and the film’s depiction of regular flights into space now looks more than a little far off the mark; its notion of an intimate relationship between humans and machines, on the other hand, still seems accurate.

The film stars Christopher Soren Kelly and Cassandra Clark. Infinity Chamber is set in a sci-fi world, in which a man is trapped in an automated prison. He must outsmart the artificial intelligence if he wants to be free, again. Positively reviewed here: Infinity Chamber Review (as Somnio), a look at the film's Netflix debut is available now. Director Travis Milloy (Pandorum, 2009) has talked about Infinity Chamber, in a number of interviews. Suspecting the world may have come to an end, he searches for escape back to a world that may already be gone (ThatMomentIn)." A sci-fi thriller, Infinity Chamber offers a few surprises,...

This year, the film will have theatrical showings in Los Angeles, this September. As well, XLRator Media is getting set to show the film through Video-on-demand, in September, also. This title deals with a prisoner. Frank's (Christopher Soren Kelly) only interactions are with an automated security camera. The days turn into weeks as Frank struggles to find any way out of his confinement. Now, a trailer is available for Infinity Chamber! Viewers might notice that 28Dla gets a mention, in the clip. Tagline: "Justice is Automated. Your Fate is Secure." Travis Milloy's (Pandorum, 2009) Somnio has been renamed to Infinity Chamber. This title has been scheduled, by distributor XLRator Media, for a September release. The film is character focused. And, Infinity Chamber involves themes of surveillance and government intrusion. A review for this title was posted here: An Infinity Chamber Review on 28Dla (as Somnio). Now, the film's official release artwork is hosted here. The graphic shows central character Frank, played by Christopher Soren Kelly. He is thought to be a rebel and imprisoned in an underground facility. His only interaction is with the camera, shown in the film poster and another off-screen character. Reality is altered as Frank's memory is probed for sedition. The setting is austere, much like the movie poster. Finally, this poster captures the imprisoning nature of Infinity Chamber. Infinity Chamber is a blend of horror and sci-fi.

*an online screener of this film was provided by producer Laurie Sheldon. Director/writer: Travis Milloy. Cast: Christopher Soren Kelly and Cassandra Clark. The Latin word Somnio can be defined as looking into a dream. And, much of Travis Milloy's (Pandorum) first feature, Somnio, is somewhat like that of a daydream, but more of a nightmare. One protagonist is forced to relive a sequence of events, over and over again. Smallish in nature, this film is also a bit of mystery. Is the central character, Frank (Christopher Soren Kelly), guilty of governmental transgressions? Or, has he been wrongly imprisoned? Milloy's script will keep you guessing until the end as themes of surveillance and the over-reliance on tech' weave their way into the narrative. Somnio is a decent indie entry into the science fiction and mystery genres. There are a number of differences between indie titles and major productions. Major...

Ink is one of those stylish movies that succeed in breathing life to the stuff of daydreams and nightmares. Not only can this be viewed time and time again to enjoy, but also it can speak to those who love to explore the meaning of what goes on with the subconscious mind. Sometimes, the images a person receives in that state is a dark metaphor for life untamed, and it has a style that both Neil Gaiman (The Sandman) and Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy) can appreciate.
With denizens from the underworld looking like well dressed ghosts donning white sunglasses, they come through as genuinely creepy. These dark lords of the Dreamtime are Incubi (with no relation to the creatures in folklore) and they are a stark contrast to the guardians of hope, better known as the Storytellers.

Released in 2009, Ink is an indie fantasy whose intricate story and unique visuals belie its tiny budget. Ryan takes a closer look at an overlooked gem…
Filmmaking history is full of stories about writers and directors who’ve gained lots of adulation from their first feature. Films such as Another Earth and Monsters have deserved every glowing review thrown their way, and their directors (respectively, Mike Cahill and Gareth Edwards) will no doubt go on to achieve similarly great things.
There’s an inevitable flipside to those Cinderella-like success stories, though, which brings us to the 2009 sci-fi fantasy, Ink. Shot for just $250,000, what writer and director editor and distributor Jamin Winans, along with his executive producer wife Kiowa, have achieved is remarkable. And yet, in spite of its obvious quality, it was overlooked by major Hollywood studios, was barely distributed in Us cinemas, and went straight to DVD and Blu-ray in the UK.

Director: Jamin Winans. Review: Adam Wing. It’s hardly surprising that I’d never heard of Jamin Winans’ mind-bending sci-fi thriller before it dropped through my letterbox, Ink’s birth was anything but typical. None of the big studios picked up the film for theatrical and home distribution in the Us, so Double Edge Films pitched the movie directly to independent cinemas, DVD, Blu-ray and online distribution by themselves. It was a move that worked, because Ink became one of the most downloaded movies on file sharing torrent sites - 400,000 times in a single week - exposing the film to a much larger audience. The UK release is brought to you by 4 Digital Media. Prepare yourself for alternate timelines and dreamlike sensibilities, because if the film achieves nothing else, Ink will at least twist your perception of reality. Plot: A small budget sci-fi flick where a child’s soul is stolen by a mysterious creature named Ink. A Storyteller and others go on a journey to try and rescue her in multiple dimensions. The key seems to be bringing her estranged father (Kelly) back to her life.
Who’s It For? If you want a cast of strangers, decent action and a story filled with some nice twists then you have Ink.
