Thank goodness for Adam Levine — despite (because of?) the fact that he thinks a tattered/nearly see-through old t-shirt is appropriate attire for live television.
Without the Maroon 5 frontman’s mentoring skills, Night 1 of the The Voice‘s Season 3 “Knockout Rounds” might’ve resulted in a widespread case of Ebola’s close cousin “Memphese.”
And praise be to Xtina’s wigmaster that Adam also thwarted the unacceptable early exit of one of the most exciting reality singing contestants since Kelly Clarkson (let’s here it for Amanda Brown!).

NBC said knock you out on The Voice last night, as the coaches matched up their singers on the spot, with each performing a track of his/her choice and then the judge immediately sending one crooner home.
Talk about a serious pressure cooker.
In the end, both Team Adam and Team Cee Lo cut their squads in half. Did you agree with those left standing? Watch one battle below and then read on for a rundown of who remains...

Last season, Jamie Lono and I were placed head to head during the Battle Rounds. I met Jamie fairly early in the audition process and we became instant brothers bonding over a shared sense of struggle and survival. I was confronting my fears head on by talking about living with HIV and Jamie was battling his own giants (Jamie was a hundred pounds heavier in high school and lost his family home in a fire). We'd joke and laugh and say things like, "Cee Lo better not make us battle."
In the beginning of rehearsing for our battle song, I Wanna Know What Love Is, we decided we'd do some ultra cool harmonies and make it really hard for Cee Lo to distinguish a winner. However, as the date for our battle approached, something happened; a shift, of sorts. I...

Last night on The Voice, the judges continued to pair teammates up, only to have them compete against one another in a sing off type situation known to viewers as the Battle Rounds. These battles have proven to deliver some seriously memorable performances and last night was no exception.
First up in the ring were Team Blake contestants Julio Cesar Castillo, the mariachi singer from Chicago and Terisa Griffin, the soul singer from Louisiana. After Blake revealed that they would be singing Gloria Estefan’s “Conga,” Terisa began to suspect that he was catering to Julio and merely looking to get rid of her. During the battle, Terisa came across as a clear powerhouse; however, Julio’s delivery of the melody was more enjoyable to listen to, which led Blake to pick Julio (hmm..so maybe Terisa was right afterall). As Carson Daley began to wrap up Terisa’s stint on The Voice,...

The battles continued on Monday night as The Voice delivered talent, emotion and laughs once again. Who did enough to stay in the competition? And who was sent home? Let's take a look at each and every battle of the night...
Team Blake - Julio Cesar Castillo vs. Terisa Griffin - "Conga"
The Battle: I can't believe Blake chose this song for these two. It is pretty awful for both of them in theory, and that was obvious from their initial reactions. But wow, they must have practiced a whole lot, because they both killed those super-fast moments. I guess Blake knew what he was doing. The slower moments were great as well, but I expected that from these two. What makes this battle so difficult is that they Are so different.
My Choice: Julio
Blake's Choice: Julio
Battle Grade: B+
Steal: Cee Lo steals Terisa because she has that connection with people.

To err is human. To occasionally leave a really great singer stranded without a lifeline? Well, that’s just being a coach on The Voice.
Yes, folks, after two stellar episodes (and zero egregious errors) to kick off the show’s Season 3 Battle Rounds, Monday night’s two-hour telecast featured a couple of serious stumbles (if not full-on face-plants) by Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, and Adam Levine.
And even though I think it’s safe to say that no potential Voice champions were harmed in the scoring of tonight’s Battle Rounds, I’m nevertheless scratching my...

After what feels like forever, The Voice finally wraps up its last round of blind auditions on tonight’s episode. Last night the judges’ managed to add some serious talent to the pot, especially on Team Blake, which was hurting as far as numbers go, starting off the night.
Team Adam, which was tied with CeeLo as the team with the most members going into last night’s blind auditions, managed to snag three more heavy hitters bringing his total to fourteen. With all three of his additions being major standouts, there’s no doubt that Adam has his eye on the prize this season. His first pick of the night was powerhouse voice Michelle Brooks-Thompson whose “Proud Mary” inspired three of the four judges to spin in their seats. Adding a smooth 60’s feel to the mix was Brandon Mahone who took on “I Wish it Would Rain” and...

The teams are almost filled, which means it's almost time for the blind auditions to end on The Voice. As interesting as this format is, and as much as I enjoy a good sob story, I will be glad to move on to the next round of this season. These auditions get tiring.
What never gets tiring is Carson's excitement back stage, Blake's self-deprecating sense of humor and Adam's ability to persuade contestants to his team. As always, there was plenty of all three on Monday's episode, so let's see how it all played out...
Team Blake
Monday: 5-for-6, Total: 12-for-27 (44%)
Although Carson led the viewers to believe that Blake was just being selective up to this point in the competition, we all know that he just hasn't been able to reel in the singers, only succeeding 33% of time before this week. Monday was a completely different story as the...

Maybe it's because we haven't had time to get annoyed by the coaches, or maybe it's simply that Adam, Blake, Cee Lo and Christina seem to be having such a genuinely fun time together, but The Voice returned with a second night of Blind Auditions that was just as entertaining as Sunday's season premiere.
Between the coaches goading each other to turn around for less than stellar acts, Blake taking bows after being told he's good looking, and even Cee Lo's ridiculous reading glasses, there was a lot of fun being had in those giant red swivel chairs. My favorite, though, had to be Blake's admission that the contestants were getting "fooled by flash and boobs" in reference to Christina getting chosen a number of times early on.
Like Sunday night, the talent kept pouring in over the course of this two-hour event, as each coach picked up two more...

Highlights of tonight’s show 9pm on Channel 4
10:42am
Corin and Josie are at the Carousel talking about Jj. Last night Corin and Jj shared a bed. “What have you been up to?” Corin asks Josie. Josie tells her, “nothing much.” “Join the bloody club, love”, says Corin.
Mario and Sam are in the Bathroom discussing who might go tonight. “I’d put money on Dave to stay”, says Mario. They agree that Rachel will probably go.
Back in the Garden Corin describes her night with Jj and how they cuddled but he doesn’t seem interested in her. She says that she tried to tickle him as she did a few nights ago and she asked him if she was keeping him awake and he replied ‘yeah a bit’. Josie laugs. “I’m not doing that again”, says Corin adding that it’s embarrassing. “He should have thought it was Christmas day,...
