Started out as a Cinematographer for his brother, Nguyen Vinh Son, first short film, Trinh Hoan introduced himself as a young talented DOP, with keen eyes on details and a distinctive way of playing with lights and camera angles. He then worked on several projects that had made him one of the most well-known DOP in the Vietnamese industry.
In 2005, Trinh Hoan started his own equipment rental company called HKFilm. Focusing on providing the best production services, he has brought HKFilm from a small rental business to a big film production company.
He also seek for talents from all over the country and train them to be the best filmmakers.
He is known for some art house movies that has won international awards such as "The moon at the bottom of the well" by director Nguyen Vinh Son, or "The white silk dress" by director Luu Huynh. He is also known for collaborating with other directors for more marketable movies, some of which has broken Box Office records such as "My Nhan Ke" (2013).
Recently, he has moved on to be a producer for feature films. The most recognizable movie he produced is "Thang Nam Ruc Ro" (Go-go sister - 2018).
He has been nominated and won many Cinematography awards.
