Not Dead Yet was canceled after the second season, and this network's decision probably resonates with the impressions of most fans. While the first season drew viewers to their screens thanks to a successful mix of personal stories of the characters and a supernatural aspect with ghosts from obituaries, the second season disappointed many fans – it became a workplace sitcom and lost almost all of its charm.
But for Not Dead Yet fans, it's not time to get upset yet – because there is another sitcom about spirits that, let's face it, is superior to the series with Gina Rodriguez in every way. And this series is Ghosts.
What is Ghosts About?
The plot of Ghosts revolves around an old mansion that is unexpectedly inherited by the main characters – a couple from New York. The initial joy at the sudden gift of fate is replaced by an unexpected circumstance – the house...

The delightful Colin From Accounts is back for season 2, and the first trailer has landed. It’s right here, in fact.
Colin From Accounts was one of the most wonderful surprises of 2022. Written by and starring real life husband and wife Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall, the warm hearted Australian sitcom follows the story of Gordon and Ashley, who meet when she flashes him while she’s crossing the street, causing him to lose concentration and run over a dog.
Deciding to care for him rather than have him put down, the two gradually get to know and, eventually, like each other while looking after the dog they call Colin From Accounts.
The synopsis for series 2 reads as follows:
After Gordon (Brammall) and Ashley (Dyer) are brought together in season one by a spontaneous nipple flash and the subsequent accident that injured the titular (no pun intended) dog, season two...

CBS is looking to scare up more laughs after handing an early Season 4 renewal to supernatural comedy Ghosts.
It is the latest renewal order for the Paramount-owned network, which also handed a third season to Fire Country and gave Justin Hartley series Tracker a second season earlier this month.
Ghosts, which is based on the BBC’s British comedy, has been a success for CBS since launching in 2021. Its third season is averaging over 10M viewers in live 7-day multiplatform viewing, which is marginally up from last year and streaming numbers are up on Paramount+, where the company said it ranked as its number one comedy in February.

Breakout Australia comedy Colin From Accounts is back in production.
An official green light of Season 2 of the hit Binge sitcom came in August, after writers and stars Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer chose to down their pens in solidarity with WGA strike in the U.S. over the summer.
Exec producer Alison Hurbert-Burns from Binge told Deadline in October production would begin in “coming months,” adding: “As an Australian program it was outside of the strike, but they just felt it was the right thing to do.”
Brammall and Dyer finished the scripts once a deal was struck at the end of September. Production is now back underway across Sydney, with Easy Tiger Productions and CBS Studios returning the produce.

Not so long ago, the only Australian TV shows imported by the UK and US were soaps and the odd kids’ series. Neighbours, Home & Away, Prisoner: Cell Block H, Heartbreak High, and child trauma factory Round the Twist went overseas, but not much else.
It didn’t make for a very complete picture. 30 years ago, if you’d asked a British person to conjure up Australia based solely on its available TV output, they’d have pictured a land of bait shops, haunted lighthouses, prison wings, and cul de sacs where good neighbours become good friends. Ask one now, and thanks to streaming, it’d be a much broader church, based on viewing comedies, thrillers, dramas, detective shows and more.
Here are some of the best Australian TV series currently available to stream in the UK and US. We’ll update this selection as new series arrive.

Colin From Accounts, the breakout Australian comedy, is launching on Paramount+ in the U.S.
The streamer will launch the series November 9 and will air two episodes weekly.
It comes after the show was renewed by Australian streamer Binge, which is part of the Foxtel Media Group.
It’s not a huge surprise that Colin From Accounts, which was picked up in the UK by the BBC, has landed at Paramount+. It is produced by CBS Studios, in association with Easy Tiger Productions, and is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
The eight-part series follows Ashley (Harriet Dyer) and Gordon (Patrick Brammall), two single-ish, complex humans who are brought together by a nipple flash, a car accident and an injured dog. The series is about flawed, funny people choosing each other and being brave enough to show their true selves, scars and all, as they navigate life together.

Where the theatrical romcom seems to be undergoing a moment of crisis – struggling to honor the patented formulas of yore while meeting the demands of the modern multiplex crowd – TV looks to have adapted more rapidly and skilfully to the recent remapping of gender relations and personal boundaries.
One creative response has been to engineer intentionally cringier, Larry David-influenced variations on the romcom theme: shows reliant upon the acquired taste of foot-in-mouth, where far from star-crossed lovers make altogether unsmooth progress towards happiness, traversing an ever-shifting minefield of social mores.
Eight-part Aussie comedy “Colin From Accounts” – currently wooing BBC viewers after debuting on Antipodean streaming service Binge late last year – follows in the footsteps of the much-adored Sharon Horgan/Rob Delaney vehicle “Catastrophe.”
Again, we watch – sometimes through fingers – as frazzled folk inch awkwardly towards intimacy, only this time they’re united not by accidental pregnancy, but the stray...

When you tune into Ghosts tonight on CBS, there will be a lot of characters vying for your attention.
Surely, iZombie's Rose McIver will be the draw, but every actor in this ensemble holds their weight and contributes to the comedy that will keep the audience in stitches.
We had the chance to chat with Asher Grodman, who plays a character who will undoubtedly create a stir.
The first thing you're bound to notice about Asher's character, Trevor, is that he's not wearing pants. Since Trevor is a ghost, that means he's stuck in eternity flying free in a gentle breeze. Can ghosts feel a draft? It's probably better if they can't.
After watching three episodes, character names were still beyond reach. Trevor was the no-pants guy. So, of course, it had to be asked. How the heck does someone audition to be the no-pants guy?
Asher laughed, "Ooh.

With little by way of competition, Disney’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings easily held the no. 1 position at the box office last weekend.
The first Marvel title to feature an Asian lead and an predominantly Asian cast, Shang-Chi mustered $1.4 million in its second frame, a drop of 28 per cent, moving to $4 million.
It is a good result for the title given how heavily disrupted the marketplace is, and the Simu Liu and Awkwafina-starrer will likely get a boost this Thursday when it in released in the cinemas previously closed in parts of regional Victoria and Nsw.
Cinemas in regional Victoria (except Greater Shepparton) were able to reopen last Thursday, however under severe restrictions; 20 people per cinema. In certain parts of regional Nsw, theatres were back online Saturday morning at one person per 4 square metres or 75 per cent of seating capacity. Masks are compulsory indoors in both states.
