How do you think the percentage of condoms that break in real life compares to the percentage of condoms that break on television?
It seems as though every single time a character on television finds out she's pregnant, it's because a condom broke.
I know condoms aren't foolproof, but it feels like if condoms broke in real life as often as they do on television, the condom industry would have gone out of business back in the Eighties.
I assume this is because television producers don't want to portray irresponsible, unprotected sex as something common and everyday. They want the characters to appear to have made smart life choices, but they also want the drama that a surprise baby brings.
So, they blame the condoms and call it a day.
Why did I just go on a seemingly unprovoked rant about the fragility of fictional condoms? Well, on Star Season...

Secrets? Who needs secrets?! We're talking about the town of Salem here.
On Salem Season 3 Episode 9, Pandora must have opened a box because every secret, alliance and evil was exposed and sent out into the world. It is (mostly) all out in the open at this point heading into our series finale. It was...glorious.
We need to discuss the biggest revelation out of the gate: Cotton finding Gloriana! It took a few episodes, but we got to this key moment.
Season one was nearly three years ago (that's 2014!), and I forgot how much Cotton truly cared for her. His emotions with finally being reunited together and then his sadness when she didn't remember him was such a heartbreaking scene. It's not how you'd want them reunited.
Does anyone else think Cotton wasn't angry enough? Gloriana is supposedly The woman he truly loves – the first, in fact, we're introduced to.

From a cupcake bra to the Cupcake Queen! Katy Perry's portrait will be joining the collection at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C., where the image will debut June 18 at the Smithsonian, according to the gallery's website. Artist Will Cotton, who also collaborated with Perry on her 2010 music video for "California Gurls," created the portrait in 2010, which features Perry as the "Cupcake Queen," wearing a crinkly white dress inspired by a cupcake wrapper as well as a candy crown, necklace and scepter. In the portrait, the "Fireworks" singer reigns over her loyal legion of fans as a nod to her top-tier status in the music biz. Kim Sajet, director...

Face Off Episode 404
“Eye Candy”
Original Airdate: 5 February 2013
In This Episode...
We start with a time-wasting foundation challenge: to turn a female model into a bearded sideshow woman with hand-applied facial hair. Eric Z. won with a simple, natural, and realistic beard. He gets immunity this week.
The spotlight challenge requires each contestant to create an original candy monster or creature. Real candy must be incorporated into the makeups. Will Cotton, a stylist who worked with Katy Perry, is the guest judge.
The Creations
Anthony created Colonel Candy. It was clean, it was cute, it incorporated the candy well. He was deemed safe - he would have been one of my top picks, but I suspect the judges were trying to give others a chance to shine.
Eric Z. made a candy witch with a gingerbread house hump on its back. This was nothing special.
Wayne made a sugar rock candy troll.
