Donald Trump has been trying very hard to do a lot to this nation, thus far with pathetically little success. However, while he might not be making America great, he’s most certainly been making American comedy fantastic.
Take Stephen Colbert. After he took over The Late Show, he has been losing badly to The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon. Then the Manchild from Hell won the election – thanks to a little help from his friends – and that very evening Colbert had something of a nervous breakdown, live on CBS. To his vast credit, he put all that energy into his job: making jokes at the expense of our Megalomaniac-In-Chief. Now, six months later, he’s leaped over Fallon in the ratings.
Certainly, there’s no shortage of material. Indeed, many other comics have made similar journeys on the Trump Turnpike (“what will that asshole think of next?”). Seth Myers,...

It may be the second to last day of Comic Con, but things are far from slowing down. In fact, both movies and TV are in great supply the Saturday of the show. Maybe even to abundant...surely attendees and press alike will be making sacrifices as they pick and choose which events to see. Make your decision after the jump.

If past years are any indication, Comic-Con will begin releasing its official 2011 panel schedule later today (Wednesday) with the schedule for Preview Night, Wednesday, July 20. If that happens then we can expect them to follow suit for the rest of the days, so that Thursday will see the release of the Thursday of Con schedule, etc., through Sunday.
Once the official schedules are posted these “TV and Movie Panels and Screenings Updates” will be scaled back to just the date, time, title, and location, since the rest of the information and So Much More (including comics panels, autograph signings, etc.) will be available on the Comic-Con schedule link we’ll provide. Consider this, then, the last of the extremely long posts, and hopefully we’ll be getting that official schedule soon.
Hmm, here’s an interesting matchup: Glee will be in Hall H on Sunday at 10:00; Supernatural will be...

The second update but absolutely not the last. We have yet to hear from the major networks, Syfy, TNT or USA about their panels. More to the point, we have yet to hear from Comic-Con, at least as to the official schedule.
As you may know, they resold the returned 4-day passes on Friday, and those sold out within a couple of hours. It likely only took that long because only a certain number of people could be purchasing at one time. Returned one day tickets will go on sale shortly; if you’re interested in attempting to be amongst the lucky few who will achieve tickets, you must be following Comic-Con on Twitter for the latest updates
Information added to this update includes Locke & Key, Dexter, Shameless, Homeland, Archer, Wilfred, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Sons of Anarchy, Shark Night 3D, Haywire, The Raven, Immortals, Thanks to THR...

Woo Hoo! Comic-Con 2011 info is really starting to flow! As a veteran attendee, one of the most exciting things I’ve seen are the blurbs that come out on the official schedule, being released early by studios! First out of the gate for that appears to be from Warner Bros. Television Group. The panel blurbs, along with the dates, times, and room numbers, have been released in a statement. For this post we scrapped the previous format in favor of Comic-Con’s format whenever that information is available. Here we go!

Yes, it’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. In less than five weeks, all of geekdom (who were able to secure tickets) will be descending upon the San Diego Convention Center for a mass celebration of the wonder that is Comic-Con. The internet has been all a-flutter about which movies and television series will have a presence there this year. Studios have been leaking out scraps of information, but Comic-Con itself doesn’t usually release the schedule until about two weeks before the event.
Even then, things have been known to change right up until the week of the event. Those of us who packed the room for Terra Nova last year were more than a little irked that it had been pulled at the last minute, to be replaced by Teen Wolf. Lucky for us (and for the panel), we were pleasantly surprised with the substitute presentation.

As you're probably aware by now, San Diego Comic-Con has released their programming for Thursday, and if that's what's in store for Day 1 of the biggest pop culture geek fest in the western hemisphere, then we've really got our work cut out for us later this month!
While the summer's remaining blockbusters will take center stage at the bound-to-be-crowded Hall H, there's still more than enough TV events planned for fans. If you're looking for some tips as to what's worth checking out, then you've come to the right place. Here's a few spots where we'll be setting up shop and live-blogging/tweeting the events as they unfold:
X-Play Live: A Show on Television: 12:00 Pm - 1:00 Pm, Room 6Bcf: Join the cast of G4's most watched and brutally honest video game review show for a look at what life is like on cable television and behind-the-scenes tales of the button-mashing industry.
