Robert Downey Jr. took a long look at his impressive car collection and asked himself a tough question: “You schmuck … what are you trying to prove?” So explained the actor during a recent sit-down with THR’s Scott Feinberg when asked about his upcoming Discovery+ docuseries Downey’s Dream Cars.
The unscripted series — produced by Team Downey, the production banner he founded with wife Susan, along with Boat Rocker Media’s Matador Content — will see a team of experts reimagine his prized cars to be more eco-friendly. “I’m going to sweepstakes them and donate all the proceeds to green tech companies,” he said as part of the chat that focused primarily on his Netflix doc Sr., “because this will be my legacy.”

San Francisco, Dec 28 (Ians) Apple will reportedly launch its foldable smartphone ‘iPhone Fold’ by 2025, which is expected to feature a flexible Oled display.
The tech giant has been working on a folding iPhone design for years, reports AppleInsider.
Though it is unclear what form the smartphone might take, the technology needed to create one is still being developed.
In September last year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had said that the foldable smartphone might not arrive until 2024, the report said.
Last month, it was reported that the bulky design of current folding phones does not align with the iPhone maker’s design philosophy.
In October, industry analyst firm Ccs Insight had forecast that the technology giant would begin experimenting with foldable technology soon.
Ben Wood, chief of research at the firm had stated that if Apple encountered any technical difficulties with the foldable phone, there would be a “feeding frenzy” among haters...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the Dead To Me series finale.] Dead To Me‘s final season ends on an intentionally ambiguous note. Creator Liz Feldman said the uncertainty the Covid-19 pandemic made us feel informed the plot when writing the Netflix dramedy’s final episodes, explaining that life rarely gives us answers to its greatest questions. It’s part of what makes grief a lifelong experience with all of its ebbs and flows. Grief and ambiguity are at the forefront of the Dead To Me series finale, which sees Jen Harding (Christina Applegate) and Judy Hale’s (Linda Cardellini) story end on a heartbreaking but fitting note. In Dead To Me Season 3, Judy is diagnosed with late-stage cervical cancer. She undergoes chemotherapy throughout the season as she and Jen try to tie up loose ends connecting them to Steve Wood’s (James Marsden) murder. Jen also learns she’s pregnant with Ben Wood’s (also Marsden) baby.

Dead to Me fans have shared an intriguing theory regarding Judy’s (Linda Cardellini) season three fate.
The third and final season of the Netflix dark comedy – released on 17 November – picks up right after the series two cliffhanger, which saw James Marsden’s Ben Wood drive off after t-boning love interest Jen Harding (Christina Applegate) and his twin brother’s ex-fiancée Judy Hale (Cardellini).
While Judy’s shown conscious and awake, Jen’s future is left ambiguous.
Warning, potential spoilers to follow
In season three’s debut episode, Judy rides along with Jen as the latter is rushed to the hospital and eventually wakes up in stable condition.
After the two undergo routine scans to ensure there’s no internal bleeding or broken bones, the doctor mistakes Jen for Judy and informs her that he’s found a potentially cancerous mass.
“Again, I’m so sorry, Miss Hale,” he says to Jen,...

When creator Liz Feldman began writing “Dead to Me,” Netflix’s dark comedy about the undying bond between two polar opposite women, it was an exercise in therapy and healing; the longtime comedic writer-producer — who had experienced yearslong infertility issues and the loss of close friends and relatives to sudden illness — had no intention of making a streaming hit, but the series’ explorations of loss, grief and finding compassion in others resonated, from a global audience to the Television Academy. And in Season 3, more twists and turns abound, as do the triumphs of friendship, depths of despair and swells of hope.
“I wanted to acknowledge the fact that we had all collectively, as a society, been through an insane couple of years,” the Emmy-nominated Feldman told TheWrap of the show’s decision to not outright include a pandemic storyline, “and also give a nod to the fact that it’s...

“The truth’s gonna come out. It always does,” warns Detective Perez (Diana Maria Riva) in the trailer for the final season of Netflix’s “Dead to Me.” She’s addressing Christina Applegate’s Jen, who in the last episodes will continue to be ensnared in the murder investigation of Steve Wood (James Marsden). In its first two seasons, the dark comedy chronicled the fateful friendship and unfortunate connection between Jen and Linda Cardellini’s Judy, and in the last 10 episodes – which drop on Netflix on Nov. 17 – the duo seem closer and more deceitful than ever. Watch the “Dead to Me” final season trailer above.

San Francisco, Oct 19 (Ians) Tech billionaire Elon Musk could spin Starlink off from SpaceX and carry out an initial public offering by 2025, media reports said.
According to tech analyst firm Ccs Insight, as Starlink’s “revenue becomes more predictable and it gains more and more users, the company is spun off to raise capital to expand its constellation of satellites” to meet the growing demand for its services, reports CNBC.
“We think it makes perfect sense,” Ben Wood, chief of research at Ccs Insight, was quoted as saying in an interview.
“Starlink is going to need to invest heavily,” he added.
Wood said an initial public offering (IPO) will help drive investment into SpaceX, push international expansion, and “make Starlink the go-to player for satellite broadband”.
SpaceX executives have spoken about an IPO over the last couple of years. In 2021, Musk said SpaceX would take Starlink public when revenue becomes more predictable.

San Francisco, Oct 18 (Ians) Amid several rumours of foldable iPhones in the recent past, a new report said that global technology brand Apple may launch its first foldable iPad rather than iPhone in 2024.
According to CNBC, analyst firm Ccs Insight forecasted that the technology giant will begin experimenting with foldable technology soon.
“Right now it does not make sense for Apple to make a foldable iPhone. We think they will shun that trend and probably dip a toe in the water with a foldable iPad,” Ben Wood, chief of research at the firm, was quoted as saying.
“A folding iPhone will be super high risk for Apple. Firstly, it would have to be incredibly expensive in order to not cannibalise the existing iPhones,” he added.
The company is exploring foldable technology for displays of around 20-inches in size, the report said.

Netflix released a trailer for the third and final season of “Dead to Me” as part of its Tudum fan event, announcing that the series’ final episodes would be released on Nov. 17.
The series starring Christina Applegate, Linda Cardellini and James Marsden has been on a two-year pause since its second season came out thanks to delays in production by both the Covid-19 pandemic and Applegate’s multiple sclerosis diagnosis, which she announced last year.
Now, the new trailer teases a pick-up right from where Season 2 left off, with Jen Harding and Judy Hale in their damaged SUV after getting hit by a drunk Ben Wood. Ben had discovered that Jen was lying about the whereabouts of his brother and Jen’s ex-fiance Steve, whom she murdered in a fit of rage at the end of Season 1.

“There’s something I have to confess,” Christina Applegate’s Jen Harding shockingly declares in the climactic final seconds of “It’s Not You, It’s Me,” the penultimate Season 2 episode of Netflix’s comedy “Dead to Me” that Applegate has submitted for Emmy Awards consideration. After scoring a somewhat unexpected nomination last year for her turn as a grief-stricken yet delightfully snarky widow, Applegate returns to the Best Comedy Lead Actress line-up this year to try to win the second Emmy of her career.
“It’s Not You, It’s Me” opens as Jen wakes up next to Ben Wood (James Marsden), feeling shocked and instantly remorseful. For the entire agonizingly long year following Dead to Me's initial Netflix debut, many fans - myself included - thought Steve Wood (James Marsden) was shot to death by Jen Harding (Christina Applegate). As it turns out, Executive Producer Liz Feldman had quite the crafty plot twist hiding up her sleeve, and Steve's real cause of death is slowly but surely revealed throughout season two.
