What exactly is going on between NCIS‘ Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and NCIS: Hawai’i‘s Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey)? Perhaps the January 9 crossover (with NCIS: Los Angeles as well) will shed some light. For now, here’s what we know: When the two first crossed paths onscreen last season, they already had a shared history. There were rumors about what happened between “T’N’T” at a conference in Orlando. The teams, of course, began speculating. After the case wrapped, they agreed that “what happened in Orlando will stay in Orlando.” The only clue we got regarding what that is is something about getting trapped in a tower for a night. Then this season kicked off with a premiere crossover for NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i, and there certainly seemed to be something between Torres and Tennant while they were discussing plans and him visiting her on the island again. Then,...

Unlike other shared universes on TV, crossovers are somewhat of a rarity among the NCISes. Yes, there have been two parters between NCIS and New Orleans in the past and smaller crossovers with Los Angeles, but when these happen, they tend to be memorable. Will that be the case with the March 28 event between NCIS and the newest spinoff, Hawai’i? The crossover was first announced in January, with NCIS‘ Wilmer Valderrama (Special Agent Nick Torres) and Katrina Law (Special Agent Jessica Knight) revealing they’d be heading to the island. And now that descriptions are out for the two episodes, we’re getting a better idea of what to expect and who else will be partaking. It all begins on NCIS at 9/8c, with “Starting Over,” and now we know that Hawai’i‘s Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) doesn’t just have a past with Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS Season 19 Episode 14 “First Steps.”] Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) is both father and NCIS director to Kayla (Naomi Grace) in the latest episode, and considering how very wrong the case goes, it’s understandable why he has trouble maintaining a grip on both. With Kayla beginning her field training, Vance assigns Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) as her field training agent. The case should be easy: a reservist Navy surgeon had a heart attack mid-operation, something they usually don’t investigate. “My daughter, she’s smart, she’s resourceful and she wants to prove herself here,” Vance says. “But she can also be impulsive. You and I are both well aware of the dangers that NCIS agents face here daily.” Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) tell Kayla to expect ...

It’s going to be two episodes in a row that Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) is tasked with keeping an eye on a colleague’s daughter… and that’s not going to go as well in the next episode as it did when he watched over Dr. Jimmy Palmer’s (Brian Dietzen) daughter in “The Helpers.” In the promo for the March 7 episode, “First Steps,” Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) tasks Torres with a very important assignment: watching over his daughter, Kayla (Naomi Grace). As Torres sees it, he’s essentially “babysitting.” But that should be easy, right? After all, as Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) tells Kayla, “don’t expect anything too exciting on your first assignment.” It’s going to be “basic, simple,” Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) agrees. In other words,” boring,” Knight says. But that’s far from the truth, as they’re looking at ...

Which NCIS team members “look like they could be at death’s door”? “People will question, ‘Are these two gonna make it out of this alive?’” Brian Dietzen is talking about his character, medical examiner Jimmy Palmer, and forensic scientist Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover), exposed to a fast-acting biotoxin unknowingly brought to the lab in evidence from Quantico Marine Corps Base after the death of an intruder there. In isolation, Jimmy and Kasie exhibit “extreme adrenaline and talk to each other in ways they never have. They’re not in their right minds,” says Dietzen, who cowrote the episode with veteran scribe Scott Williams. As the clock ticks, “You see these two physically deteriorate over the course of this hour. It’s close to real time.” Meanwhile, Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) cares for Jimmy’s young daughter, Victoria (Elle Graper), who was visiting her dad. “The guy who...

“This isn’t Gibbs’ team anymore, is it?” Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) pointed out in the latest NCIS episode, which directly dealt with the impact his former boss (Mark Harmon) leaving had on him. In one of the biggest TV exits in recent years, Harmon left the CBS procedural just four episodes into the current season. Rather than return to work, the indefinitely suspended agent chose to stay in Alaska after wrapping a case and see what life held for him there. The assumption was that Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), the most senior member of the team, would take over as its leader. But he didn’t want the job, and instead, it went to Alden Parker (Gary Cole), who was fired from the FBI for not arresting Gibbs. CBS So how has NCIS handled having a new team leader and how Gibbs’ absence is affecting everyone?...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS Season 19 Episode 10 “Pledge of Allegiance.”] Who sent Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Dr. Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) $10,000? That’s the question for the latest NCIS episode, and yes, it does lead exactly where you expected. Near the beginning of the episode, Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) is surprised to find McGee trying so hard to contact his bank account about that large sum mysteriously added to his account. Then, about halfway through the hour, Special Agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) reveals to McGee that he’s not the only one who received that amount; Palmer did, too. Once Palmer notes that it was earmarked for his daughter, Victoria, the pieces begin to come together (at least for us). But the bank still won’t tell him who deposited it. That’s where Director ...

While the latest NCIS spinoff, Hawai’i, may not have been introduced via the original prior to its premiere, fans will be getting a crossover (finally) during its first season. The stars of both shows shared the news in a video posted to Instagram by NCIS‘ Wilmer Valderrama (who plays Special Agent Nick Torres) and Katrina Law. Both will be heading to Hawai’i for the event. “It’s going to be good being back on the island solving crimes,” Law adds. She played Quinn Liu on Hawai’i Five-0. Vanessa Lachey (who plays Hawai’i‘s team leader Jane Tennant) then revealed that the event will air on March 28. Watch the video below for more from the casts across both shows. View this post ...

With both NCIS and the Los Angeles spinoff both in double digits, and after New Orleans wrapped in 2021, we can’t help but wonder which remaining long-running show in the franchise will be the first to say goodbye (as much as we hate to think about it). NCIS, for example, has already seen Mark Harmon exit this season, and honestly, it had gotten to the point that we expected his last episode also to be the series’. Gary Cole has come in as Alden Parker, taking over as team leader (after Sean Murray’s Tim McGee didn’t want the job), and sure, the show can continue with this new configuration for a while. So far, Parker, McGee, Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), and Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) are working well ...

Certain shows paid respect to those actors and their actors and wrote them a satisfying character exit, such as Matt Casey on Chicago Fire.
Others got the short end of the stick like Mina Okafor on The Resident or Michael Grant on 911.

Many fans are still devastated by this departure, and it's understandable. Nic was almost as integral to the series as Conrad himself, and CoNic is one of those iconic ships that will be in our hearts forever.
However, Emily VanCamp decided she wanted to leave the series, perhaps to spend time with her family, before the new season, and The Resident came up with the best solution.

NCIS is kicking off 2022 with a case about espionage and that includes a foot chase through traffic. In “Pledge of Allegiance,” airing on Monday, January 3, the team is called in when Navy Chief Warrant Officer Rafi Nazar (guest star Artur Zai Benson) is suspected of trying to sell stolen classified Navy software used to pilot combat drones. And as the sneak peeks CBS has released show, at least one of his coworkers has already declared him guilty — but Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) put him in his place. In the first clip, Director Leon Vance explains that they’ve initiated a manhunt for a high-priority target. That would be Nazar, who the Navy thinks is planning to sell that highly-classified tech — which controls surveillance drones — to one of their enemies. Exactly who, they don’t know yet. Nazar is one of the people who has access...

Wilmer Valderrama has an exciting new role.
The NCIS favorite has landed the lead role of Don Diego de la Vega, who suits up as Zorro, in a reboot of the ABC drama.
The series is a reimagining of the 1957-59 series that starred Guy Williams.
While an official series order has not been made, the project is in development at Disney Branded Television.
“Growing up, Zorro was the one character that made me, as a Latino, feel like I could be a hero,” Valderrama said in a statement.
“As an adult and a storyteller, I have a responsibility for the stories that I help bring to life."
"To partner with Gary [Marsh of Disney General Entertainment] and Disney to bring Zorro back into the family after 60 years and be a part of the legacy for other children to know they too can be the heroes of their own stories is a dream come true.

Wilmer Valderrama is attached to star in and executive produce a live-action “Zorro” series that is in development at Disney Branded Television.
In “Zorro,” Valderrama would star as Don Diego de la Vega and his swashbuckling alter ego, the masked horseman known as Zorro, in the days of Spanish California.
The show is a reimagining of the Disney-abc “Zorro” series starring Guy Williams that aired in the 1950s. That show also starred Gene Sheldon, George J. Lewis, and Henry Calvin. It aired for 78 episodes between 1957 and 1959, with four hour-long episodes airing in the early 1960s.
“We’re reimagining this Disney classic as a compelling period piece, set in Pueblo de Los Angeles, but told in a very modern telenovela style — with richly drawn contemporary characters and relationships set against the action, drama, suspense and humor of the original, iconic Zorro,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. “Wilmer shares...

Season 19 has featured the most change ever on NCIS: boss Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is gone, off finding some sort of peace in Alaska; Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) is on an undercover assignment, somewhere; Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) is on the team full-time; and Alden Parker (Gary Cole) is the new leader. And we’re only seven episodes into the season! When Gibbs was suspended last season, NCIS had Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), and Bishop mostly working by themselves on cases. Knight joined after she was involved in a case, and she was McGee and Torres’ pick to join them full-time at the beginning of the season. Because of that, bringing her into the fold was seamless. They met Parker while investigating the ongoing serial killer case that Gibbs and reporter Marcie (Pam Dawber) were looking into last season, and when Alden let Gibbs go instead of arresting him,...

After the conclusion of the Switch Hitter arc, NCIS Season 15 Episode 16 returns to the Case of the Week staple of the series with a take-it-or-leave-it investigation and a much more moving subplot.
Oh, and Torres' tax problems. (It's tax season, remember? Remember?!)
Drew Cary guest starred as retired Sgt. John Ross, who suffered greatly as a prisoner in Iran for five years. But, as his story demonstrated, the pain didn't end with his release.
He came home emotionally traumatized by his experience, only to discover that the love of his life had married another man and that his young daughter had a man she called Dad who wasn't him.
One can't help but be moved by the story. Ross' girlfriend wasn't wrong to move on with her life, and he clearly didn't blame her for it. And there's nothing to suggest her new husband was anything but a good and loving spouse and father.
