In news I wasn’t expecting to see today, former potential Xbox mascot Voodoo Vince is getting the remaster treatment. In a post on the Xbox Wire, creator Clayton Kauzlaric announced that Voodoo Vince: Remastered will hit Xbox One and Windows PC in early 2017.
Originally released in 2003 for the original Xbox, Voodoo Vince was a relatively well-received platformer. As the title would imply, the main hook of the game comes from the unique voodoo powers Vince possesses. These powers can be activated by collecting specific tokens located in each level. However, while these abilities are great for eliminating enemies, they will also cause harm to Vince.
After releasing the game through his studio, Beep Industries, Kauzlaric would make his way to Microsoft Games Studio over the following years. That didn’t stop fans of the cult hit from reaching out to him about re-releasing the title though, which was impossible...

Legendary adventure game designer Ron Gilbert (the creator of the classic games Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion) announced last night that he has left Double Fine Productions “now that The Cave is done and unleashed on an unsuspecting world”.
Gilbert revealed his departure from the company on his personal blog, Grumpy Gamer, expressing his thanks to the both Tim Schafer and the entire team at Double Fine.
“I want to thank all the amazing people at Double Fine for all their hard work on The Cave. It was a true pleasure to work with every one of them over the past two years. So much fun. I will miss them all. And of course to Tim for creating the opportunity to come there and make The Cave.”
Tim Schafer offered his support to his long-time friend on his Twitter account, saying “Sad to say @grumpygamer feels like it’s time...
