Deluxe has opened Stage One, its new 4,000-square-foot color grading theater, in Hollywood’s historic Glen Glenn Sound building.
The room is equipped with high-quality projection, including the world’s largest RealD Ultimate Screen in a private facility, as well as advanced color grading, audio and editorial systems.
Currently being graded in the space by colorist Mitch Paulson is Fede Álvarez’s “The Girl in the Spider’s Web” (pictured), the sequel to David Fincher’s “The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo.” It stars Claire Foy in the latest iteration of Lisbeth Salander. Sony Pictures will release the film on November 9.
“I’ve been dreaming of a space like Stage One since I started color finishing,” said Deluxe senior colorist Skip Kimball. “We’re set up to handle any format and have a fleet of projectors so I can grade on a screen that’s comparable to exhibition.”

David Hasselhoff's ex-wife Pamela Bach is facing a lawsuit filed by an alleged victim of her drink driving accident in March.
The actress, who is facing another DUI charge following her arrest on Saturday, was taken into custody in California earlier this year, and accused by police of causing a chain of rear end collisions.
Bach was sentenced to probation for the March accident after pleading no contest to the allegation.
And now she's being sued by one of the drivers caught up in the crash - according to court filings, Mitchell Paulson claims Bach slammed into his car, causing him undisclosed injuries.
He is seeking unspecified damages.
Speaking after her arrest on Saturday, Bach blamed her law troubles on Hasselhoff's personal issues. The embattled star was hospitalised for a reported seizure on Friday and is recovering at home.
Vowing to seek professional help, she told TMZ.com, "I am remorseful and mortified. I am going through a really difficult time between David being in the hospital and dealing with the divorce."
Bach and Hasselhoff finalised their split in 2007.
