NBC’s reality TV show “America’s Got Talent” has been a part of our lives for the better part of two decades, originally debuting in Summer 2006. Season after season, viewers find themselves falling in love with a countless number of auditioners, which is why it’s so gut-wrenching when one of them eventually passes away. In our photo gallery above, we take a moment to remember all of the talented acts who left us too soon. “AGT” deaths: Remembering the contestants we’ve lost on “America’s Got Talent” was originally published March 2022. The 18th season of the reality program premiered May 30, 2023.

Thousands of people have auditioned for “Britain’s Got Talent” over the years, but only 16 acts have had what it takes to pull off wins. From initial champ Paul Potts to latest victor Viggo Venn, a varied range of performers have impressed “Bgt” viewers and judges enough to have their amateur artistry deemed the best of the year. Of course, all were worthy of their success, but some acts are naturally more outstanding than others. Check out our photo gallery to see our ranking of these 16 winners from worst to best.

As we near the conclusion of the first phase of the “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars” competition, there’s one question on our mind: What do the superfans have against singers? Out of the 40 acts to perform in the first round so far, a quarter of them can be considered vocal talents, but only chorale group Detroit Youth Choir has advanced, and that was thanks to a Golden Buzzer from Terry Crews. The nine other singers failed to earn enough votes from the superfans and were eliminated, but why?
Among the singing acts eliminated so far are former Golden Buzzer acts Cristina Rae and Sara James as well as champions of “Canada’s Got Talent” and “Dominica’s Got Talent” Jeanick Fournier and Keren Montero. Both Jeanick and Keren placed within the top three with the superfans on their respective episodes, as did Caly Bevier and Ndlovu Youth Choir. None of...

Paul Weller has hit out at The Cure frontman Robert Smith in a recent interview, calling him a “fat c***” and suggesting he would “slap him”.
Weller’s comments were made when an interviewer suggested that a song from Noel Gallagher’s forthcoming album sounds like “A Forest” by The Cure.
This then seemingly propelled Weller into a state of what the writer described as “revulsion”.
"Really??!“ Weller replied in the cover story interview with Record Collector.
"I can’t f***ing stand them. F***ing fat c***, with his lipstick and all that b*llocks. He is my age as well, isn’t he?" Weller said.
"He’s a f***ing kn*b end," he continued. "I don’t like him. There you go. There’s someone I would work with. I’d f***ing slap him, or something."
The Independent has contacted representatives of Weller and Smith for comment.

Taylor Swift’s pop cultural territory expands with every move she makes, whether it’s re-recording her old albums to have complete ownership over them, appearing in films, directing shorts or occasionally writing songs for stories on a whim, like she did most recently with “Carolina” for “Where the Crawdads Sing” (now playing in theaters).
The eerie ballad is the latest in a long line of songs that Swift has drummed up to accompany certain productions, some of which she has appeared in and others where the music was her main contribution.
In honor of “Carolina,” which the singer announced in her signature secretive style of dropping hints in an Instagram feed, TheWrap has rounded up all of Swift’s other songs written for or released with movies or television shows. We’ve also made a Spotify playlist to experience this set of songs.

Exclusive: Producer Steve Whitney and his company Tsw Films have purchased Suge Knight’s life rights with plans to develop a biopic on the infamous music mogul, bringing Nick Cassavetes and Anthony Thorne aboard to write the script.
The former music exec born Marion Hugh “Suge” Knight Jr. co-founded the iconic label Death Row Records in 1991 and is credited with bringing the subgenre of gangsta rap into the mainstream. Artists signed to the label included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog and Tupac Shakur—and those three acts alone changed the face of hip hop with the release of the groundbreaking albums The Chronic, Doggystyle and All Eyez on Me. Knight’s label had enormous success with over 50 artists and profits of over $100 million a year, but fell into bankruptcy after the departure of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog, the murder of Tupac and the 2018 incarceration of Knight on charges of voluntary manslaughter.

The superfans on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” are a controversial bunch, and for good reason. At-home viewers are frustrated, maybe even a little jealous, that these delegates from all 50 states get to call the shots instead of them. (See how the voting process works.) Love ’em or hate ’em, the superfans are here to stay on “The Champions” as we approach the February 10 finale. But are they biased toward homegrown American acts, since they’re obviously already familiar with their stories? Or do the superfans deserve credit for voting for performers from all around the world? Let’s investigate.

“America’s Got Talent: The Champions” will crown its first-ever winner on February 18 from among the 12 finalists who competed on the show seen on NBC last Monday. While four of the top dozen acts in the final hail from other countries, we are certain that the winner, who was chosen by a select group of superfans, will be a veteran of “America’s Got Talent.” Among these eight alumni, the likeliest to take the title are the two most recent “Agt” champs: singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer and magician Shin Lim.

The “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” finale on February 18 will run for two hours beginning at 8 p.m. Et/Pt. The winner won’t be revealed by host Terry Crews till the very end of the show. This spin-off of “America’s Got Talent” brought together 50 acts from various editions of the franchise from around the world. The last time that singer Angelica Hale and ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer faced off was in the final of “America’s Got Talent” in the summer of 2017. Farmer won that battle and claimed the million dollar prize and a chance to headline a casino show.
The pair were pitted against each other again in the first season of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” They both competed on the final of this “Agt” spin-off, which aired on Feb. 11. Because this finale was taped last fall, it wasn’t possible to let America vote like it does during the live “Agt” shows each summer. Instead producers turned to a group of superfans that came from across the country to attend these tapings. They got to decide the winner of “Agt: The Champions.”

Are you as frustrated as us that you didn’t get to vote for the winner of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”? Unlike “Agt,” this spin-off version was not live and was taped last fall. That meant America did not get to take part in picking the winner. Producers chose a group of viewers that they named the Superfans, who attended the tapings.

On Monday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” opera singer Paul Potts informed host Terry Crews that he was dedicating his final performance to late opera singer Neal E.
