Trevor Juenger's surreal horror Coyote now has a short video clip for fans. This title was recently shown at the Pollygrind Film Festival. And, the film central stars horror vet' Bill Oberst Jr. (Children of Sorrow), along with Joe Hammerstone (Tales of Fear) and Victoria Mullen. This title might be coming to a theatre near you. And, fans of arthouse in cinema can view the expressionistic clip below. The film involves a paranoid writer, whose insomnia leads him to violence and self-destruction. This is Juenger's first feature film and it is already receiving praise from websites. Greg Baty at Cinesploitation enjoyed the "nightmarish imagery," while Mike Thomas at Matchflick felt lost in the story: "It is a film that you don't understand, rather you hold on, or get lost forever." Some of those bizarre visuals and strange story details can be found in the clip below. Release Date: Tba.

I saw Coyote last month when it played at midnight at the Mx Theater in downtown St. Louis and found it to be a dark and disturbing home-grown chiller. There’s another screening this Friday night (June 14th), also at the Mx, but it starts at 11pm instead of midnight. This time there will be short films from James Westbrook, Dylan Schnitker, and Carrie Juenger (hers is called Crabs In The Dollhouse) and Daniel Irwin will be there to read some “weird and hilarious” poetry.
Also, the filmmakers will be participating in a Q&A session after the credits so if you’re curious about what the heck you just saw, here’s your chance.
Check it out at the new luxury theatre Mx Movies in downtown St. Louis (618 Washington Ave St Louis, Mo 63101). The screening is at 11:00pm and is Free! It’s a neat theater and since it’s free,...

I’ve been looking for an excuse to check out the new Mx Movie Theater in downtown St. Louis and now I think I’ve found it.
Coyote, the St. Louis-lensed shocker from Writer/Director Trevor Juenger will be making its hometown debut this Friday night, April 26th, at the new luxury theatre Mx Movies in downtown St. Louis (618 Washington Ave St Louis, Mo 63101). The screening is at 11:30pm and is Free!
Coyote, an “art-horror feature” tells of a writer (Bill Oberst Jr) whose insomnia causes him to suffer hallucinations. He’s distracted, irritated and slowly going mad. He’s soon taking it out on the people around him, and he’s not afraid to take violent measures. Bill Oberst played Honest Abe in Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies which was actually better than the Spielberg film! Joe Hammerstone, Bill Finkbiner, Tasha Zebrowski, and Victoria Mullen round out the cast.

Coyote is an indie horror title from director Trevor Juenger. In the film, the character Bill (Bill Oberst Jr.) descends into madness. Bill acts strangely and he voices his inner turmoil and false beliefs because of mental illness. Very surreal, Coyote is an arthouse pic' that will entertain fans of the darkly bizarre. In the film's first trailer, Bill seems to rant and rave as he interacts with a handful of other characters. One girl deliciously sucks on Bill's thumb? Another character wants to hear Bill, a writer, tell a macabre story. Juenger's style of filmmaking and creation of characters really brings out the darker parts of cinema in this early reel. Have a look below. Director/writer: Trevor Juenger. Cast: Bill Oberst Jr., Joe Hammerstone, Victoria Mullen, Bill Finkbiner, Shawn I. Chevalier and Heather Schlitt. Blake Eckard is what you’d call a “micro-budget” filmmaker. This means precisely how it sounds. Movies made on little to no budget, independent fare created by artists driven to have their visions come to fruition, regardless of any financial obstacles that would otherwise restrict such an endeavor. Eckard’s newest film is titled Bubba Moon Face, which he wrote and directed. With a title as odd as Bubba Moon Face, you may imagine the film being equally strange. On some level, this is certainly true, but its a subtle quirkiness that underlies the entire film, primarily a drama about a drifter named Horton (Tyler Messner) that returns to his rural roots for his mother’s funeral. While back home, his car breaks down and is forced to stay with his brother Stanton (Joe Hammerstone).

Vertice Films has completed production on their zombie thriller? The Year After Infection. Shooting took place in St. Louis and now, fans can take a look at the film's first teaser. In the clip, four stories unfold that represent each of the different seasons, from Spring to Fall. These stories are held together with a simple thread which is the coming zombie apocalypse. All of the characters in the four stories must learn to cope with a new undead world. But, "will they survive?" and "will they want to?" (Vertice).
Have a look at the clip below which shows the beginnings of a zombie apocalypse and some of the characters trying to survive. One question remains with this zombie film fan: where are the zombies? Much of the zombie presence is kept off screen until the final moments, as one snarls into the screen. Hopefully, Tony Greco's latest creation...
