Waking Nightmare is an anthology series that chronicles real stories of people’s experiences with sleep paralysis. Each episode in the series will retell a different, separate nightmare.
What is sleep paralysis, you ask? It is a transient state between waking and sleeping where the body is immobile and the mind will often hallucinate, combining dreams with the real world around the dreamer. While some people grow accustomed to this unusual occurrence, it is typically the cause for immense fear and anxiety. This feeling is what we wished to capture by recreating the dreams we were told, creating a shared...

The Scarehouse is a solid contained horror film mixed with found footage when away from the main location. Production values are good and performances are commendable when it comes to the “why are you doing this to me?” scenes. Most impressive of all is Jennifer Miller (as sorority sister – Lisa Jenning). She can certainly throw a punch or two and proves to be an ongoing thorn in the side of our anti-heroes Corey and Elaina.
The movie opens up with handheld footage of a group of loud-mouthed, college sorority sisters dressed in their underwear getting ready for a night of initiation with their two newbies. None of these people prove themselves to be likeable.

Owiw PosterA certain 28Dla fan has been hounding this reviewer for over a week to post an article on One Week in Windchocombe and at 28Dla the staff aim to please. So here is a preview of a film that is currently in production. What is known is that Jeffery J. Timbrell is the writer of this independent piece and Timbrell is a part time writer at the online horror magazine Fatally Yours. Also, the film's title is eerily similar to a district in Tewkbury, England called Winchcombe. So, likely this Canadian writer has tripped across the pond, but this is conjecture. Finally, the film involves facing one's fears, which is always a positive thing, and the differences in perspectives of events in a haunted house, which are sure to be varied. Fans of independent horror can check out the cast and crew lists available, with more info' to come once production has wrapped.
