Beth Hoyt has been in the entertainment industry for more than 15 years. During that time, she has built a very successful career but that hasn’t come without its challenges. However, regardless of the obstacles she’s faced, Beth has managed to survive in an industry where so few people actually build long-lasting careers. In addition to her work as an actress, Beth is also a successful comedian. Her ability to make people laugh and keep them entertained is unmatched, and she loves being able to share her talent with her fans. Although it doesn’t appear that she has any projects

A review of this week’s Better Call Saul, “Axe and Grind,” just as soon as we sidebar in the law library…
“Relax. You got away with it.” —Kim’s mom
What happens to Kim?
This is a question I asked regarding the last Saul episode to feature young Kim (still played by Katie Beth Hall, with her hair pulled partially back, but not yet in the full power- ponytail of adult Kim) and Kim’s mom (Beth Hoyt, who still looks and sounds uncannily like Rhea Seehorn). That episode,...

This Better Call Saul review contains spoilers.
Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 6
Some people need to learn the hard way, and that means sometimes getting caught can be a blessing. If an authority figure or the law can check your bad behavior early, perhaps it can keep that behavior from leveling up an unhealthy notch, reaching an extreme, or skidding off the rails entirely. If Walter White had been busted on his first cook, maybe that ultimately would have been better for him and his family. He would have likely done some time, sure, but think of all the collateral damage and emotional turmoil that could have been avoided. Consequences can keep things from spiraling out of control.
For the first time since Better Call Saul has begun, I think I know where Kim Wexler’s story is headed. There’s still plenty of time for a swerve to take...

Spoiler Warning: Do not read if you haven’t seen Season 1, Episode 9 of “What If…?” currently streaming on Disney Plus.
If there were any question of how deep Marvel Studios was willing to dive into its multiverse, then consider the breathless Season 1 finale of the company’s first animated series, “What If…?” In Wednesday’s episode, the all-seeing Watcher (voiced by Jeffrey Wright) breaks his oath of non-interference to recruit alternative versions of beloved characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to become the Guardians of the Multiverse in order to stop an alternative version of Ultron (Ross Marquand), who controls all of the infinity stones, from wiping out all sentient life in all possible universes for all time.
Whew!
“What If…?” has been a fascinating experiment for Marvel Studios, allowing the show — led by head writer A.C. Bradley and director Bryan Andrews — to explore corners of the nascent MCU multiverse...

This review contains spoilers for Marvel’s What If…? episode 6.
Episode 6 of Marvel’s What If…?, entitled “What If… Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark?”, might be the flattest episode to come out of the series so far, but it at least works in the way the other Disney+ Marvel shows work. It takes a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who didn’t get quite enough time in the spotlight and gives us more. In this case, it’s the charismatic Black Panther villain Erik “Killmonger” Stevens.
As he was only relevant to the Black Panther movie, we get to see the character step out of that bubble and interact with some other MCU mainstays. His connection with Tony Stark cheats the world out of Iron Man, but there’s the question of whether the situation might have a positive effect on Killmonger’s soul, like how his cousin T’Challa...

A review of this week’s Better Call Saul, “Wexler v. Goodman,” coming up just as soon as I enjoy cold pizza fondled by community theater actors…
“I don’t believe you. You don’t believe yourself. It is a lie. You lie. I lie. This has to end! I cannot keep living like this!” —Kim
What happens to Kim?
This is the biggest question left for Better Call Saul. Arguably, it’s the most important question of the entire series. There have been smaller mysteries solved (why Jimmy changed his name,...

Most companies outline their corporate policies in dry text documents, but leave it to YouTube to answer some frequently asked questions in the form of a video collaboration. For the second year in a row, the site opened a presentation at Vidcon with a Barely Political video that takes viewers to the YouTube Complaints Desk. The video stars Laura McDonald as the YouTube Receptionist, who must address pressing complaints lodged by The Gregory Brothers, Prank vs. Prank, Hannah Hart, Beth Hoyt, and others. As with last year's version, most of the complaints result in very cheesy riffs on a basic 'what would happen if YouTube behavior occurred in real life' joke. A couple of the complaints do raise valid issues on YouTube, including the fairly negative response to the site's recent layout changes. McDonald-as-YouTube offers that the new channel design allows for views on many different devices. Then there is...

Lost amidst the hubbub created by Zach Braff's controversial Kickstarter campaign is the rise of big (but not that big) crowdfunding projects for notable web series such as Video Game High School and The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. Now, another big name in online video is throwing its hat into the Kickstarter ring. My Damn Channel has launched its first ever online fundraising campaign: Love Me Cat, billed as a "puppet talk show with celebrities and you." The creator of Love Me Cat is Eric Kaplan, a TV writer best known for his work on The Big Bang Theory. While this will be his first web series, guests will include several peformers who have worked with Kaplan in the past, including Johnny Galecki and Mayim Bialik. Given the show's affiliation with My Damn Channel comedy network, other guests will include creators like Beth Hoyt and Mark Malkoff. The talk show...

If you're like me, you'll be spending Valentine's Day wondering what you can improve in your dating life. Vlogger OkayNate had similar thoughts. For some sage advice, he invited four of YouTube's leading ladies onto his show to shower him with a few handfuls of useful dating tips. Said four ladies are Grace Helbig Aka DailyGrace, Hannah Hart, Beth Hoyt of Beth In Show, and mememolly. These four gals bring a combined 1.2 million YouTube subscribers to the table along with a wealth of romantic knowledge, which is conveniently broken down into four categories: Pre-date, what to do on a date, what Not to do on a date, and how to follow up afterward. All four videos can be accessed from an introductory video featuring OkayNate, who serves as the everyman male lead. The best part of the video is the varying styles the four women bring to the table. Grace is earnest,...

With over 176,000 subscribers and more than 70 million views on its YouTube channel alone, My Damn Channel is one of the internet's more popular destinations for comedy. But now, the studio and network behind such web series innovations and hits as DailyGrace, My Damn Channel Live, You Suck at Photoshop, and Wainy Days hopes to dramatically up those statistics by bringing more quality programming into the fold. Founder/CEO Rob Barnett just announced the launch of the My Damn Channel Comedy Network, a multi-channel (McN) network that will expand Mdc's library to hundreds of comedy programs distributed across several YouTube channels and on MyDamnChannel.com. DailyGrace (aka Grace Helbig) and fellow Mdc personality Beth Hoyt put together a video in which the pair and their characteristically charming personalities help to explain the origins of the network and dish out some basic facts about joining. They also give a quick shout out...

My Damn Channel debuted it's daily YouTube Original series My Damn Channel Live back on March 28, 2012. 263 days and 165 episodes of live comedy later, the show is now venturing off onto a happy hiatus. Your hostess Beth Hoyt will christen Mdc Live on its programming break of indeterminate length with help from special guests OkayNate, Hannah Hart, Grace Helbig, Shannon Coffey, Jon Friedman, the band Savoir Adore, and a Slip 'N Slide. Tune in starting at 4Pm Eastern to the video below, and don't change that dial. Questions arise when the powers that be behind a daily program produced by one of the premiere creators of comedy in the online video space decide its time for that daily program to take a break (especially when and where YouTube money is involved. So, we asked My Damn Channel CEO/Founder Rob Barnett why Mdc Live is at least temporarily switching off the...
