- Raised in a dairy farm in the South East of France, her brother Hugo Annequin is an entrepreneur, and her sister Charlotte Paltrinieri works as a photographer.
- Flo moved to Grenoble at age 13 to study dance intensively, and received grants for her photographic exhibitions. She completed her French baccalaureate in Biology with distinctions.
- Flo Ankah moved to New York to attend the Alvin Ailey School, and graduated in modern dance from the Merce Cunningham Studio, and in improvisation comedy from Upright Citizens' Brigade.
- Obtained her green card and American citizenship through her work as an actor.
- During her studies, Flo worked as a personal assistant to award-winning filmmaker Jerry Schatzberg and to author Frances Kazan, organizing the archive of her late husband Elia Kazan.
- Resides in New York City since September 2000.
