Now that Los Angeles’ film festival laureate Screamfest La is off and running from October 8-17 at the Mann’s 6 in Hollywood, CA, we're wrapping up our interview series with directors who have films in the fest. Our last installment: Andrew Shortell and Psych: 9.
”We are all thrilled to be a part of the festival,” Shortell told Dread of Screamfest's selection of his feature film Psych: 9 (it plays this coming Tuesday, October 12th, at 9:30 pm). “I actually attended as a guest a few years ago to see a Victor Garcia film. It's funny that he has another film (Mirrors 2) this year that is showing the same day as Psych 9!”

A much more thrilling trailer is available for the Green Card production Psych 9. This second trailer, for the film, adds a lot more action and although Psych 9 is a long way away from a release date, even for United Kingdom fans, this new trailer shows the main character breaking down into madness. The clip also shows spirit-like images, who appear just out of camera range. Turn down the lights real low and turn up the volume for this official trailer. All the other details are below.

Psych 9 will release in the United Kingdom on the 5th of February and DreadCentral has found two movie clips from the film. One clip entitled "Monitor" is below and this short film reel shows central character Roslyn (Sara Foster) alone in an old psychiatric hospital. This clip is shocking, so turn up the volume, get real close to the screen, and prepare for the surprise of your life! As well have a look through all the fan pages for this film, that will release at a later date in North America.
