Gabriel Garton is a motion picture editor and a documentary filmmaker. His work has been released on streaming platforms, broadcast television, art exhibitions, and screened in international film festivals. He edited the four-part series, When Truth Isn't Truth: The Rudy Giuliani Story (2023) for MSNBC Films. He co-edited the ground-breaking series, Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Space (2021) for Netflix, and the feature documentary, Sesame Street: 50 Years of Sunny Days (2021) for ABC. During the height of the pandemic, he edited and directed the short documentary, Covid Nurses (2020), which won the Hometown Hero Award in the Brooklyn Independent Film Festival, the Award of Merit in the Best Shorts Competition, and best documentary in the Coney Island Film Festival. Gabriel associate produced and edited the short film, Doorstep (2019), which won best post-production in the StoryMode Independent Short Film Awards, and was acquired and released by Omeleto on YouTube. He edited, A Day With Martha (2017) which won Runner-Up Best Feature Documentary at the Bushwick Film Festival, and produced and edited the short documentary, Triforce (2016). The film premiered at the Camden International Film Festival and was acquired and released by CNN Films. Gabriel co-produced and edited the feature documentary, Wild Home (2014), premiering at the Camden International Film Festival and winning the Audience Award. He is a regular contributing judge for the NYC Short Documentary Film Festival, now in its 9th year, and has mentored high school students in Queens, NY on the art of documentary editing.
