Following the huge news last week that Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy had bought back his controlling stake in the company from Penn Entertainment, Barstool Sports is already making changes on the exec front. Barstool Sports has upped Barstool Sports New York founder Kevin Clancy, aka KFC, to Gm of Comedy at the company.
With Portnoy only recently gaining back a controlling stake in the company, Clancy’s responsibilities (and even his title which was given to him prior to the sale) could be changing over time but going forward he will be focused on expanding the company’s footprint in the comedy world, specifically in the stand up comic scene, in a much more hands on way. As part of this new position, he will also be helping several other podcasts, brands, and shows achieve the same level of success he and the other Barstool OGs have been lucky enough to see.

Nathan Fillion has appeared in two beloved ABC shows — Castle and The Rookie. Castle aired for eight seasons on the network and ended in 2016. The Rookie premiered in 2018 and is in the middle of airing its fifth season. And Fillion is dedicated to paying homage to his previous show in his new one. Unfortunately, fans shouldn’t anticipate one Castle star to appear in The Rookie.

One of the main reasons Castle was so popular during its heyday was because of the “will they/won’t they” slow-burn relationship between Richard Castle and Kate Beckett, played by Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.
Of course, everyone also loved the other side characters, especially Jon Huertas’ Javier Esposito and Seamus Dever’s Kevin Ryan.

Authorities have vowed to “bring closure” to the family of missing actor Julian Sands, after further ground searches over the weekend yielded no results.
The San Bernardino sheriff’s department said an imminent storm in the region meant that search efforts would now be delayed “for some time”.
The 65-year-old British actor was first reported missing in the Mounty Baldy area of the San Gabriel mountains more than five weeks ago, after failing to return from a hike.
Numerous searches have already taken place on foot and by air, with both state and federal agencies using special technology to help pinpoint a more accurate location to focus their efforts.
A spokesperson for the sheriff’s department told the Pa news agency that ground searches – which had been recently hampered by poor conditions on the mountain – had taken place on Saturday (18 February).

Another ground search for the missing British actor Julian Sands is being planned imminently, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s department said.
Sands went missing while hiking the popular Baldy Bowl Trail in California exactly five weeks ago.
Search and rescue crews have been looking for Sands since he disappeared, however, their attempts have repeatedly been affected by adverse weather conditions.
“A ground search for Julian Sands is being planned before the next storm hits next week,” a Sheriff’s department spokesperson told the Pa news agency.
“We don’t have an exact date/time for that search but will use ground crews.
“The weather and mountain conditions continue to be an obstacle and subsequent searches will be delayed if Mr Sands is not located in the upcoming search.”

Feisty retired literature professor Harriet “Harry” Wild “is useless at gardening or knitting or any of the things that little old ladies are supposed to do,” says Jane Seymour, the Emmy-winning actress who plays her. So Harry finds a new vocation…as a solver of murders! And though this Dublin-set whodunit is light in tone, Harry is “not Miss Marple,” teases the actress, who’s also an executive producer on Harry Wild. “She is unfiltered, very much her own person and always right.” Harry’s new life starts after she’s mugged and goes to stay with her son, Charlie (Kevin Ryan), a police detective. She’s intrigued by a murder he’s working on and detects a connection to an obscure (and fictional) Elizabethan play. Ignored by Charlie, she enlists her young thief—in actuality, “a nice young man” named Fergus—to help her ...

Castle was a huge fan favorite, but by the time the show reached season 8, it seemed no one was happy.
There were rumors of infighting behind the scenes, which led to fewer and fewer scenes filmed between the two leads.
Then Castle’s lead and supporting actresses (Stana Katic and Tamala Jones) were shockingly fired weeks before Castle Season 8 ended!
Fans were outraged, so much so that they began sending coffee sleeves to ABC with messages such as #SaveCaskett and #CancelCastle. Coffee was a symbol of love and affection between the two characters throughout the series.
The show’s fans wanted the series canceled rather than have it go on without their favorite couple.
What other show has had its diehard shippers root for its demise rather than see the series-long love story end and its main couple left to bleed out on the floor?
The fans got their wish.

Covenant House held a star-studded fundraiser on Monday night to help continue its lifesaving work with homeless youth.
Hosted by Tony-winner Audra McDonald and CBS News’ John Dickerson, “A Night of Covenant House Stars” was a virtual stand-in for the organization’s annual spring gala in New York City.
“We’ve all been destabilized by Covd-19, and kids experiencing homelessness are really hard hit,” Dickerson said at the start of the two-hour event. “More than four million young people will experience homelessness in the U.S. alone, and the virus has it out for them. It takes advantage of their weakened bodies and their anxious minds. But they are not alone; the Covenant House is there. The doors are still open 24/7 just like before. The hope is still there. The courage is there. Love is there because people may be discovering the good that is inside us during this pandemic.

Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner in Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws,” died this weekend from coronavirus complications, according to the Martha’s Vineyard Times. She was 91.
Fierro’s claim to fame is slapping Roy Scheider in a famous scene from “Jaws” where she plays the grieving mother of one of the victims of the infamous man-eating shark. After striking Amity Beach’s police chief, she tearfully condemns him for not taking the threat of the shark seriously, not knowing that his attempts to close the beaches were overruled by the town’s mayor.

It was a blast from the not so distant past on The Rookie Season 2 Episode 3 as two of Nathan Fillion's former costars from Castle made guest appearances.
As much as I enjoyed seeing both Seamus Dever and Jon Huertas on my screen, the show missed a brilliant opportunity.
Why were they given separate storylines?
Detectives Kevin Ryan and Javier Esposito had such great chemistry on Castle where they played partners for nine seasons.
The Rookie Season 2 Episode 2 Review: The Night General
These two deserved to be paired up once again whether it was as law enforcement officers or even better, as partners in crime.
Granted, they both did an excellent job in their respective roles but it could have been so much more entertaining if they had been working together.
That said, Seamus Dever played arrogant and sleazy better than I ever expected as the right hand to the city councilwoman.
