They did just that in “The Good Land,” where the chefs were tasked with honoring Native American cuisine. Amanda Turner and Laura Ozyilmaz were both guilty of overloading their dishes with too many ideas and ingredients, so both had to pack their knives and go. But how did they do when they both had to go up against reigning “Lck” champ Kevin D’Andrea? Watch part one of their triple threat match above, and scroll down to watch part two.

Last week was “Restaurant Wars” on “Top Chef,” one of the most hotly anticipated and punishingly difficult challenges of every season. This year it resulted in the second elimination of cheftestant Kaleena Bliss, who decided to forego “Last Chance Kitchen” to protect her mental health, taking her out of the competition for good.
That leaves eight competitors on the main show competing for a chance to win a feature in Food and Wine magazine; an appearance at the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado; and $250,000 in prize money: Soo Ahn, Manny Barella, Danny Garcia, Dan Jacobs, Savannah Miller, Laura Ozyilmaz, Amanda Turner and Michelle Wallace. So what happened in “The Good Land”?

Kaleena is immediately inspired by the presence of season 10 “Top Chef” champ Kristen Kish as the show’s new host, but it’s a “double-edged sword” to have to impress a host and judge who has competed before. “If you’re half-assing it,...
