Director Scott Mann’s thriller Fall, which stars Grace Caroline Currey (Shazam!: Fury of the Gods) and Virginia Gardner (Halloween 2018) as a pair of characters who get stuck at the top of a 2000 foot tall radio tower, was given a theatrical release, but it wasn’t really a break-out hit. It made $21 million worldwide, on a budget of $3 million. More viewers watched it on Amazon, purchased it on Blu-ray or DVD (order it Here), or caught it on Starz or Netflix… and Fall was so successful on Netflix, it was enough to get back-to-back sequels greenlit by Capstone Studios! Mann will be writing and directing Fall 3 himself, but he has decided to hand the helm of the middle installment of this trilogy over another director. Or, as it turns out, other directors. Capstone Studios’ CEO Christian Mercuri has announced that Fall 2 is set to be directed by the filmmaking...

It’s impressive that despite the massive success of Jaws making its bite mark on pop culture back in 1975, many movies have unapologetically attempted to follow in its footsteps to this very day. One of those films is the 2017 movie 47 Meters Down, which spawned a sequel in 2019, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. A third movie in the series is now set to swim ashore as 47 Meters Down: The Wreck will be launching its sales campaign at the Cannes Market. Johannes Roberts and screenwriter Ernest Riera return to co-write this new installment, which will be directed by veteran horror director Patrick Lussier, whose credits include My Bloody Valentine.
The plot synopsis for the third entry, per Deadline, reads,

After making the little-seen 2009 thriller Absence, the filmmaking duo of Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer went on to make the impressive 2014 horror film Starry Eyes, which led to them getting the chance to direct the 2019 remake of Pet Sematary. Five years later, Kölsch and Widmyer have finally set up their next feature: the survival thriller The Swallow, which is set to star Grace Van Dien, who had a memorable role in season 4 of Stranger Things.

Thanks to the Netflix series Stranger Things, I have been a fan of Joe Keery for over seven years already, and thanks to the Prime Video streaming series Daisy Jones & The Six – which drew inspiration from the story of Fleetwood Mac – I recently became a fan of Camila Morrone. Three more delicious reasons to visit Century City are coming soon, thanks to a bold plan from the Reuben Brothers.
“I’ve been doing this my whole life. I understand how to operate big buildings,” billionaire developer David Reuben Jr. says of his vision for the city.
His firm is currently displaying their prowess with Century Plaza, the $2.5 billion, six-acre complex located alongside Avenue of the Stars in Century City. It is comprised of the luxury condo towers Park Elm at Century Plaza (formerly Century Tower Residences), the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel, public parks, and 100,000 square feet of retail space.

Get ready to fall even harder! Last year's surprise hit thriller "Fall" is getting not one, but two sequels. Capstone Studios, the company behind the project, feels strongly that they have a franchise on their hands and have now officially turned this into a trilogy. The first sequel is due to begin filming next summer, with much of the original creative team returning.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Scott Mann will return to produce both movies, and he will co-write and direct "Fall 3." There is no word yet on who is going to wind up in the director's chair for "Fall 2," or why Mann won't be directing all three films. Capstone may intend to do them back-to-back, which would make it more challenging for the same filmmaker to direct both installments. The first film was originally R-rated, but landed a PG-13 rating after some F-bombs were removed from the edit.

Earlier this year, we heard that director/co-writer Scott Mann and the producers at Tea Shop Productions were developing a sequel to the survival thriller Fall (watch it Here), which became an international success when it reached the Netflix streaming service. While doing the press rounds for Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, Fall star Grace Caroline Currey said she thought it would be “really cool” if she got the chance to come back for the sequel. Now it sounds like Currey is going to have a couple opportunities to return to the world of Fall, as The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Capstone Studios has green lit not just one but two sequels!
Mann will be producing both sequels and also intends to co-write and direct the third film of the trilogy. There’s no word on who’s writing or directing Fall 2, which is scheduled to...

V/H/S/85, the latest entry in the found footage horror anthology V/H/S/ franchise, will begin streaming on Shudder service (which previously had great success with V/H/S/94 and V/H/S/99) tomorrow, October 6th. This one consists of segments that were directed by David Bruckner (Hellraiser 2022), Scott Derrickson (The Black Phone), Gigi Saul Guerrero (Bingo Hell), Natasha Kermani (Lucky), and Mike P. It even includes references to some Black Phone characters…
Derrickson said, “Oh, there’s actually a universe crossover in there, which I guess I made it too subtle because nobody’s picking it up. But James Ransone tells Detective Wayne, when he’s behind the glass, he was talking about Gunther. He says, ‘He has these dreams that are prophetic.’ And he says, ‘My sister had the same gift.

He was surveying the scene at The Hollywood Reporter’s third annual L.A. Power Broker Awards, presented by The Society Group and hosted by The Agency’s Mauricio Umansky. This fairy-tale feeling of camaraderie hung in the air all evening, no doubt enhanced by the enchanting setting of the legendary Castillo Del Lago estate, formerly owned by Madonna. Released through the Shudder streaming service last October, the horror anthology film V/H/S/99 quickly became the most-watched film in the history of Shudder. It’s a good thing they already greenlit another sequel – V/H/S/85 – for this year. But while we wait to see how V/H/S/85 is going to turn out, Rlje Films has given V/H/S/99 a Blu-ray, DVD, and steelbook release – and copies can be purchased at This Link.
The story segments that make up V/H/S/99 were directed by Maggie Levin (Into The Dark: My Valentine), Johannes Roberts (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), Flying Lotus (Kuso), Tyler MacIntyre (Tragedy Girls), and Joseph & Vanessa Winter (Deadstream). Here’s the synopsis: V/H/S/99 harkens back to the final punk rock analog days of VHS, while taking one giant leap forward into the hellish new millennium. In V/H/S/99, a thirsty teenager’s home video leads to a series of horrifying revelations.

Exclusive: AI is in the eye of the storm in LA right now amid the writers’ strike and is also a talking point at the Cannes Film Festival due to the de-aging of Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny.
We can reveal an interesting development in the Cannes market with news that generative AI firm Flawless, co-founded by filmmaker Scott Mann (Fall), is partnering with U.S. seller and distributor XYZ Films (Run Rabbit Run) and UK producer Tea Shop Productions (47 Meters Down) to acquire rights to foreign-language films, converting them to English for distribution in English-speaking territories.
The plan is for Flawless’ TrueSync technology to create lip-synced versions of acquired titles, and XYZ will distribute them. The idea is to offer an alternative to subtitles and out-of-sync dubs. The company will also distribute the original versions alongside.

That story crash-lands a group of friends in the water-logged, inhospitable Louisiana swamplands where they’re hunted by a fearsome, primordial apex predator. Best’s character leads the unfortunate survivors, out of their depth, who are...
