The Alien Report: "The Alien Report follows "The Abductee" (Braxton Hale), an everyday American who finds himself hijacked by extraterrestrial beings and taken on a terrifying journey of self-preservation, running afoul of classic "grey aliens", disturbing human-et hybrids, and the U.S. government's shady Men in Black. Based on countless documented reports made by self-proclaimed abductees, The Alien Report is a meticulous, straight-faced look at what an real-life alien abduction would be like, from the perspective of first-person cameras.
The Alien Report has screened at festivals worldwide, winning awards in the U.S., UK, Australia, and Brazil. Shot on iPhone and GoPro cameras as a non-traditional narrative composed of re-assembled found footage, the picture plays out as both a sci-fi thriller and first-person documentary. It is the intended first chapter in a trilogy of films about extraterrestrial abductions.
The Alien Report was directed by Patrick Donnelly and produced by Kevin Schroeder and Michael Sell.

Camp Pleasant Lake: "DeskPop Entertainment will release Thomas Walton's refreshingly indie new horror film Camp Pleasant Lake in select cinemas and on VOD February 27th! The picture, which stars 90s screen icon Jonathan Lipnicki alongside a bevvy of genre film icons, is a loving throwback to the thrilling, violent summer camp slasher films of the 1980s.
In Camp Pleasant Lake, Rick and Darlene Rutherford breathe life into the eerie remnants of an old campsite, unaware of its dark past. Strange occurrences haunt the area, mirroring the tragedies of the old camp, where two decades earlier, a young girl was kidnapped and her parents brutally murdered. Amidst chilling atmospheres and long-forgotten secrets, the couple grapples with a horrifying revelation—they are entwined in the camp's history. And as the shadows of the past collide with the present, the Rutherfords must confront the haunting histories of a sinister crime.

"We have only one chance to capture this..." Terror Films has unveiled an official trailer for an indie horror comedy called Everybody Dies by the End, made by Ian Tripp and Ryan Schafer. This premiered at a few genre festivals last year, and will be launching on VOD to watch around the world this September. A documentary crew is hired by larger than life horror director, named Alfred Costella, to chronicle him as he finishes his final film, an all-practical masterpiece with some dark twists. After becoming a sensation with the successes Battery Acid, Psycho Menace, and Kill Time Now, a car crash talk show interview ten years ago looked like ending his illustrious career. But now he’s returning to the independent movie fold to make his final shocker. And invited along to cover every aspect of the production is a documentary film crew... What could possibly go wrong?...

Back when I reviewed Purgatory Road I said it might be the film to finally put director Mark Savage over in the US market. Instead, he dropped off the map for four years. Now he and co-writer Tom Parnell back with Painkiller, a sequel to their 2016 dark comedy Stressed to Kill which I haven’t seen. That film featured Bill Oberst Jr. as Bill Johnson, a man who takes the doctor’s advice to get rid of stress a bit too literally and starts killing those who annoy him. In Painkiller, originally titled Stressed to Kill: Doctor’s Orders, he’s back, but his killing has a different focus.

They've finally reached the "let's tell a gritty vengeance story" point in the opioid crisis, because of course the best thing to do now to combat it is to take out all those who were/are complicit. Written by Savage and Tom Parnell, the story is drawn from the plight of millions of Americans and is produced with the raw emotions of their suffering. After losing his daughter to a drug overdose, a broken father starts a brutal vigilante campaign to bring down the many white-collar criminals behind the opioid epidemic. The timely and powerful thriller stars acting veterans Michael Paré and Bill Oberst Jr. and takes an unapologetic look at a crisis facing countless American families. In horror films when families move into a new house or a new town, they always seem to stumble upon a terror of sorts. The Parish is no different in this regard, however, its execution establishes an air on mystique and uncertainty. From director David S. Tagline: "Some Secrets are Worth Killing For." The Parish has been in development since 2011. Since its origin, David S. Hogan's The Parish has received funding and been completed. Slated for a 2021 release, The Parish stars: Bill Oberst Jr. (3 From Hell), Angela Dimarco (Mr. Bleachers) and Sanae Loutsis (The Black String). In the story, a widow struggles with horrifying images of her long dead husband. In a rural town, she hopes to find solace through a local priest. Now, the film's U.S. poster and trailer are available here. The poster shows one of the film's villains, a blood thirsty nun. Latin scripture haunts the background in blood reds as a crucifix hovers high above. And, this is a memorable graphic, which helps build tension ahead of the March 16th release. On March 16th, Uncork'd Entertainment will release this feature on Digital and DVD. To show across the U.S.

"Our hearts beat for Greatland." Manoux, former boxing champion of the world Shannon Briggs, and horror icon Bill Oberst Jr., alongside up-and-coming young actors Arman Darbo and Chloe Ray Warmoth. Actor Christopher Naoki Lee, whose credits include AMC’s The Terror and Fox’s Deputy, is set to make his feature directorial debut with the socially-minded pic Dinner Party which he co-wrote with Greek alum Daniel Weaver.
Lee also stars in the film which, as the title suggests, centers on a dinner party with a group of diverse Millennials. As they dine and converse, a verdict arrives for a controversial trial regarding sexual misconduct that has captivated the nation — a very timely topic considering the recent Weinstein verdict. As a result the dinner party turns into a moment for all the attendees to look at their own histories and determine whether the friendship that binds them can withstand their differences, especially when they realize one of their own is guilty of a past transgression.

Rob Zombie's Firefly family returns for a real day of the dead in the 3 From Hell trailer.
Free the three! Now we can have a real day of the dead. Just when you thought there was no justice in this world, the first full-length 3 From Hell trailer promises a bloodbath and a devil of a time. The odds were a million to one against Capt. Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis Firefly (Bill Moseley), and Vera-Ellen "Baby" Firefly (Sheri Moon Zombie) surviving their standoff with the police at their last rampage, but with a little faith, nothing is impossible.
3 From Hell is a family movie. The Firefly family has a deadly tradition going back to 2003, with Rob Zombie's directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses making way for the 2005 sequel The Devil's Rejects. Written and directed by Rob Zombie, the trilogy tells the story of Dr. Satan and his merry band of murderous misfits.

Rob Zombie has officially blown the lid off 3 From Hell, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Kicking off the week in style, Zombie sent horror fans into a tizzy just yesterday with the delightfully gruesome teaser trailer, which offered a sneak peek into the twisted world of his follow-up to The Devil’s Rejects. And though many are already sold on the idea of 3 From Hell, the musician-cum-filmmaker has since announced that a new, extended preview will be released next month – just in time for the film’s theatrical release in September.
That’s right; we can expect 3 From Hell to hit the big screen in three months’ time, by which point we should have a better understanding of Zombie’s master plan for Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis (Bill Moseley), and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie).
Here’s a little status report, courtesy of the director’s Facebook...

Following on from Rob Zombie’s social media countdown, the first 3 From Hell trailer finally arrived yesterday and though it certainly provided our best look yet at the upcoming sequel to 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects, it still didn’t reveal a whole lot.
Running for just under a minute, it provided a tantalizing tease of the chaos to come but crucially, left out any real plot details. As such, fans have a lot of questions and now, Zombie’s taken to Facebook to answer some of them. Among other things, he’s addressed when, exactly, 3 From Hell takes place, with many wondering how much time has passed since the last film.
As it turns out, not long has passed at all, with the director explaining that his latest effort takes place immediately after The Devil’s Rejects. Of course, Zombie followed that up by addressing the next most pressing question: how did Baby,...

The concept behind writer/director Justin McConnell's latest horror movie is fantastic: a guy with the ability to shapeshift by killing his victims, goes on a murderous spree in an attempt to rekindle a relationship with the woman he loves.
It seems that McConnell's Lifechanger does offer up a reason as to why the shapeshifter needs to change bodies so many times but it seems what's most notable of the movie is that at just shy of 90 minutes long, it moves quickly; "Even the gore is efficient."
