"We will not succumb to hysteria on my watch!" Blue Fox Ent. has revealed the first official trailer for an indie horror thriller film titled Bunker, from filmmaker Adrian Langley. Also known as The Fallen in the UK. This is premiering soon at the 2022 Buffalo Film Festival this month and at a few other regional fests, which is why first trailer is out now, despite an expected 2023 release. Trapped in a bunker during World War I, a group of soldiers are faced with an ungodly presence that slowly turns them against each other. As paranoia and fear grow between them, the men experience the true hell of war. The director states: "WWI genre thrillers are very rare, and so directing Bunker came with both unique challenges and opportunities… I think we’ve made something distinctive and imaginative." This stars Luke Baines, Kayla Radomski, Sean Cullen, Roger Clark, Julian Feder, Eddie Ramos,...

“Death is like going on a trip, darling, only one doesn’t come back.”
Mario Bava’s final horror film Shock (1977) will be available on Blu-ray January 18th from Arrow Video
In a career spanning four decades and encompassing virtually every genre under the sun, Mario Bava inspired multiple generations of filmmakers, from Dario Argento to Martin Scorsese and Tim Burton. Best remembered for his gothic horror movies, for his final feature, Shock, he eschewed the grand guignol excesses of Black Sabbath or Blood and Black Lace for a more intimate portrait of mental breakdown in which true horror comes from within.
Dora moves back into her old family home with her husband, Bruno, and Marco, her young son from her previous marriage. But domestic bliss proves elusive as numerous strange and disturbing occurrences transpire, while Dora is haunted by a series of nightmares and hallucinations, many of them involving her dead former husband.

For this week’s home media offerings, we have only a few titles on tap for genre fans, as there are only five different titles making their way home on Tuesday. Arrow Video is showing some love to the underappreciated Dream Demon with their new Blu, and Scream Factory is resurrecting The Spider (1958) as well. If you’re into classic horror in three dimensions, you’ll definitely want to pick up the 3D Blu for House of Wax (1953) and two indie horror flicks are arriving on DVD this week as well: Wood Witch and The Haunted.

As her marriage to decorated war hero Oliver draws near, well-heeled Diana moves into her sprawling new London home where she starts to experience strange and terrifying nightmares. But are these blood-curdling night terrors merely the symptom of an unsettled mind, or the sign of something far sinister at work? Hounded by a pair of sleazy journalists (Timothy Spall and Jimmy Nail), Diana soon crosses paths with American tourist Jenny, who appears to have a strange connection to the foreboding house and its sinister past.

Tom Botchii's feature film debut, Artik, will have its world premieres at Popcorn Frights Film Fest in Florida this week. Then Artik will be released in Us cinemas on September 6th, and on VOD/Blu-ray on September 10th. Yesterday, Epic Pictures and Dread released the new trailer and fresh keyart for Botchii's flick. If you think the keyart style looks familiar that is because it came from poster artist Christopher Shy who illustrated the poster for Panos Cosmatos' Mandy. A comic book obsessed serial killer teaches his son how to get away with a series of brutal murders until the boy befriends a mysterious man who threatens to expose everything. Artik stars Chase Williamson,...

"I've always found myself gravitating towards chaos." Epic Pictures + Dread have unveiled the first official trailer for a new serial killer thriller titled Artik, which just premiered at the Popcorn Frights Film Fest in Florida. This indie film is a "shockingly violent and very engaging" serial killer horror about a comic book obsessed murderer who teaches his son how to get away with all the killings. That is, until he befriends a mysterious man who threatens to expose everything. Chase Williamson stars as Holton Shudcase, with Jerry G. Angelo as "Artik", plus a small cast including Lauren Ashley Carter, Matt Mercer, David Robbins, and Gavin White. This definitely looks like it's only for die-hard horror fans who can stomach this kind of violence. Featuring a very colorful poster by artist Christopher Shy - which you can see below. During Comic-Con this past weekend, Warner Bros. unleashed the first trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters and it was pretty incredible. It showed off several of the other giant Kaiju monsters that will be appearing in the film and I can't wait to see how this story plays out. Fans seem to be incredibly excited about this movie!
Now, the official Comic-Con poster art for the film has been officially released online. It was created by Christopher Shy and it features the mighty three-headed monster, King Ghidorah and Godzilla!
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the cryptozoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient superspecies, thought to be mere myths, rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's...

Unfortunately, San Diego Comic-Con 2018 is drawing to a close now, but speaking strictly from a fan perspective, there isn’t much that the “largest convention of its kind in the world” didn’t deliver. Sure, it’d be nice if the Wonder Woman 1984 footage or new Venom clip could make their way online, but that’s just us getting greedy.
In all honesty, Sdcc came through in spades, what with Shazam!, Aquaman and Godzilla: King of the Monsters all dropping their first trailer. Truthfully speaking, though, they don’t come much better than the latter.
During the now world-renowned Warner Bros. presentation in Hall H, the Big Six film studio unleashed the first trailer for the sequel and oh my, was it ever electrifying. Between Ghidorah, Mothra, Rodan and of course, Gojira himself, the teaser had it all. Apparently, though, WB wasn’t done releasing jaw-dropping ballyhoo.

If you're not familiar with the art of Ronin a.k.a. Christopher Shy, you've got to check out this collection of horror movie-themed watercolor poster art that he has created. There's art here for films such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Shining, Salem's Lot, They Live, The Fog, Event Horizon, Alien, and The Thing. I also included art for Blade Runner and Blade Runner: 2049.
I really dig the artist's style and the dark, moody, and striking visual details. As a hardcore horror film fan, I'd love to own a collection of these. If you like what you see, you can purchase some of his art here, but it's not cheap. His cheapest prints for sale are $105.
Check out some of the prints below and tell us what your favorites are!

Comics writer Ian Edgington ("Aliens," "Terminator" at Dark Horse") teamed up with illustrator and concept artist Christopher Shy to give readers some background on "Dead Space 3" co-op character John Carver in a dark--murky, even--tale of fear and redemption on the edge of known space. Unfortunately, with "Dead Space: Liberation," what could have been a interesting introduction to this new character in Visceral Games' universe instead suffers from and overly-stylized look hampered by a fairly rote plot.
We're introduced to Earthgov Sergeant John Carver as he stumbles through some kind of ill-defined wastes on the colony planet Uxor, where the Unitologist fanatics have chosen to activate another marker for their still-too-silly-to-understand nefarious purposes (seriously, three games in and their motivations make no sense). This is a major problem for Carver, since his soon-to-be-estranged wife Damara, and son are still in the colony, and anyone within range of the marker... well, you've...

Dead Space: Liberation
Written by Ian Edginton | Art by Christopher Shy | Published by Titan Books | Format: Hardback, 128pp
The third in the series of Dead Space graphic novel tie-ins, Dead Space: Liberation once again is drawn by Christopher Shy, who took over artwork duties in the previous book, Salvage, however this time round Dead Space “worldbuilder” Antony Johnston, who – besides penning the first two graphic novels – worked on the script and story for the original video game and the Wii follow-up Dead Space: Extraction, is not in the authors chair.
This time writing duties fall to fellow Brit comic writer and author Ian Edginton, whose name many may recognise from his work in 2000Ad and my personal favourite: the awesome Victorian Undead mini-series from Wildstorm. Interestingly, Dead Space: Liberation is not Edginton’s first foray into video game tie-ins, having penned Zool Rules: the Alien Ninja from the Nth Dimension...

Dead Space: Salvage
Written by Antony Johnston | Art by Christopher Shy | Published by Titan Books | Format: Paperback, 128pp
When reviewing the Dead Space graphic novels it’s quite interesting, especially if you have played the games. The first novel looked at events before the first game, giving an explanation of sorts as to just what happened to cause the destruction that you find once you make it onto the Usg Ishimura. In the second graphic novel, Dead Space: Salvage we now look at the events after the first game, when a bunch of Magpies decide to see what pickings they can get from the drifting seemingly dormant ship.
The Magpies are a group of scavenger ships that look for scrap in space and see what they can salvage from it. When they find the Usg Ishimura it’s like striking gold so straight away they try to claim it so...

The first title, "Pokemon the Movie: Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice" is out next week with two titles to follow in the summer from the vikids line.
If "The Movie" in the title wasn't clear enough, "Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice" is based on the 2012 feature which made its U.S. debut on Cartoon Network back in December. From the official synopsis for the March 5 manga:
Keldeo is determined to become a Sword of Justice, but to do so he must defeat Kyurem, one of the most powerful Dragon-type Pokémon in the world. Keldeo challenges Kyurem, unleashing a destructive force even Ash and Pikachu may be powerless to stop!
Trainers Black, White, Gold, and Silver get their own spotlight stories in "Pokemon Adventures: Black & White Manga vol. 1" (July 2), and "Pokemon Adventures: Heartgold and Soulsilver Manga vol. 1" August 6, the first book introducing its pair of trainers while the second...

In the interest of full disclosure, I should say that I have zero knowledge of the Dead Space video game series. My active gaming life ground mostly to a halt sometime around Halo 2, and although I still throw together the occasional session of Call of Duty or Madden, gaming as an entertainment option has dropped pretty far down my personal list.
With that in mind, understand that I won’t be able to offer much commentary on how these Dead Space graphic novels tie into the games. I’m coming at these strictly as a reader to gauge how they hold up as sci-fi/horror stories. Let’s see how they do.

As a total Dead Space novice, I must express my appreciation to Titan Books, publisher of these graphic novels, for including extensive character profiles at the beginning of this first volume of comics.

According to a recent update from the team behind Ouya, the Android-based gaming console that took Kickstarter by storm last year is officially coming to popular retail locations this June.
That's right, interested parties who haven't backed the project, but are still interested in bringing Ouya into their home, can head over to the official website and pre-order their unit right now. Those who have backed the project are still expected to get their consoles in March.
The Ouya website has set expected deliver to June 2013 if you order from there, but we also have the option of waiting for it to hit shelves at retailers including Best Buy, Gamestop and Target. Amazon will also carry the device.
For $99.99 gamers will get the console itself, a wireless Bluetooth controller, two AA batteries, a region specific power adapter and an Hdmi cable. If you're looking to do some multiplayer Android gaming,...

The real CL4P-tp (more commonly known as Claptrap) probably isn't all that cuddly. Lovable, yes. But cuddly? I doubt his beat-up metal exterior is very huggable. Thankfully, there is a softer solution. The snuggle-ready Claptrap you see above was knitted out of wool and he's 100% hug-ready.
Created by Finnish "knitaholic" Morrgan, the knitted Claptrap is apparently comprised of roughly 40 separate pieces. The project was started back in 2010, but was put on the shelf to allow for other creations around the holiday season. When "Borderlands 2" made its debut, Morrgan was once again inspired to complete her long-lost project. As you can see, the final result turned out perfectly.
Unlike a lot of the awesome video game-inspired knit pieces we've seen, this 16" wool Claptrap isn't for sale. However, you can take a look at some more photos and get all the details on Morrgan's creation by heading over to her blog,...

Roughly 30 years ago, the Nintendo Entertainment System changed the way people interact with their televisions. Nintendo is currently celebrating 30 years of Famicom with some cheap classic games, but you could celebrate by sporting this awesome Nes-themed jacket.
The Nintendo Controller Jacket is black with embroidered Nes controllers on the front, back and sleeves in red, white and gray tones. Undoubtedly warm and comfortable, the jacket features red snap buttons on the front and an inner chest pocket to store your 3Ds. The outside is made of black cotton, while the inside features a diamond quilted black nylon liner. Made by Torrel, only 1,000 jackets were produced and each comes with a label of authenticity sewn to the liner.
The only downside to a jacket this cool is the price tag. Unfortunately, it's not all that cheap, but it would definitely be $195 well spent on any Nintendo fan, old or new. You...

Sony has confirmed that their upcoming PlayStation Meeting – where the company will let us "see the future" of gaming, and possibly reveal the PlayStation 4 – will be live-streamed on the web for all to see.
According to Gamespot, no specifics on where exactly the live-stream will be available for viewing have been announced, but Sony has apparently said that info will be available in the coming weeks. The event takes place on February 20th at 6pm Et in New York.
In much the same way Apple debuts their latest hardware, recent rumors suggest that Sony and Microsoft would unveil their next-gen consoles at their own media events, rather than sharing the spotlight with competitors at large-scale trade shows like E3.
It's all rumor and speculation for now, but there's no denying we've got high hopes for the 20th. What about you?

Ready for some 2-on-2 "Halo 4" multiplayer? I hope so, because 343 Industries has announced that a Team Doubles playlist will be added to regular multiplayer matchmaking next week.
The new modes include Infinity Doubles, which is essentially your standard round of Slayer with two teams of two squaring off. The mode gives players instant respawns, radar and ordinance drops once you hit 70 points. The first dastardly duo to reach 300 points wins. There's also the Doubles Pro mode, which ditches radar, ordianance drops and instant respawn. Players will have to pick from preset loadouts, which you can see below.
Loadout 1:
Starting Weapon - Dmr
Secondary Weapon - Magnum
Armor Abilities - None
Tactical Mod - Resupply
Support Mod - Dexterity
Loadout 2:

Studio Ronin artist Christopher Shy ("Soul Stealer") had to work to figure out the right look for "Dead Space" character John Carver. Translating Visceral Games' world into comics was a challenge for the artist who worked with writer Ian Edginton to bridge the stories between "Dead Space 2" and the upcoming "Dead Space 3" in the February 5 release, "Dead Space: Liberation" from Titan Books.
From the official synopsis:
Following the events of the smash video game hit Dead Space 2, we follow Earthgov Sergeant John Carver whose wife and son are attacked by fanatics trying to liberate the Marker site where she works. Racing to solve the clues his wife left behind, Carver teams up with Ellie Langford, survivor of an earlier Necromorph outbreak on the Sprawl, and EarthGov Captain Robert Norton. Together they unlock deep secrets about the Markers in an epic adventure that will determine the fate of mankind.

Amanda Dyar: Dead Space: Salvage released back in December 2010, just before the release of Dead Space 2 a month later. While Conan: The Barbarian didn’t exactly kill at the box office this August, it did revitalize some love for the character. We sat down with Frederik Malmberg to talk about the upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray release (November 22), his artistic inspiration for the film, and the challenge of working with practical effects on a film like Conan.
What was the main goal going into the film and why did you want to remake Conan?
The main goal was to create a film that set up the world and the environment of where does this guy come from and what separates it from say Lord of the Rings or Clash of the Titans. Obviously, if you are familiar with the character you know because it has a gritty realistic feel to it. The film takes place about 12,000 years ago in prehistoric times. The key was to really paint that world and...

Gregory Widen, the creator of the 1980's Highlander films, is set to adapt the popular graphic novel Ascend for theatrical production.
Ascend was created by Keith Arem and Christopher Shy, and describes the post-apocalyptic 'Purgatory Wars'. Apparently all hell has broken lose - in a rather literal sense. In the realm of Ascend, all of Heaven and Hell has ruptured into chaos and war, and the forces of good and evil are locked in combat for control of human souls.
The story of Ascend revolves around the two brothers Sebastian and Gideon. Gideon has risen through the ranks of angels to become one of the most powerful among the Legions of Heaven; however, Sebastian realizes he carries the 'key' to ending the war, and must somehow stop his own brother from carrying out his plan in order to prevent the entire realm of existence from falling into ruin.
