Seven members of a gang who pulled off a $20 million jewelry heist from a London vault have been found guilty in court. The gang pulled off the biggest burglary in British legal history in Easter 2015 when they raided 56 safe deposit boxes at the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Co. in the heart of London's historic jewelry quarter. Making the heist more notable was that six of the seven thieves were past the age of 55. "It was an audacious, brazen burglary that was some three years in the planning," Scotland Yard's Detective Superintendent Craig Turner says in a statement. "Hatton Garden jewelers...

Hardcover: 224 pages
Publisher: Book Guild Light
Isbn-10: 1846248779
Isbn-13: 978-1846248771
Synopsis:
Author Mark King takes us on an adventure in his new novel, Frenzy, with lead character, Daniel Jones, who in the midst of his quiet farm life has stumbled upon a sinister secret that changes his life completely.
I don’t know how I got it in my head that Frenzy was a vampire book, maybe the glossy finish with the blood dripping of the title but I didn’t have any clue what the book was about going into it. The book isn’t about vampires. I’m not knocking vampire stories, but this book is much more creative, much more compelling and its mysterious Over-seers much more menacing than any vampire.
Without being too spoilery, Daniel Jones begins the story as a small town farm boy who uncovers a secret so big that...

Hail is not a pleasant film - it is in fact alienating and dismisses the concept of an audience as the film is clearly not made for them. It immerses you into a mire of ugly imagery aided by scattershot and headache-inducing cinematography. An ex-con by the name of Dan (Daniel Jones) is reunited with the love of his life, Leanne (Leanne Campbell). It is quickly evident the film is based on the experiences of these not-really-actors and it feels real which is not a detriment to the film, however it did impact my enjoyment of it and I was unable to find it accessible in any way. Dan wants to go straight; he gets a simple job, screws that up and is lured back into the...

An Australian film based on the real lives of its two lead actors has won The Age Critics’ Award at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
Selected by a panel of film critics, the award now in its second year, is for the best Australian feature film at Miff.
Amiel Courtin-Wilson’s first feature film Hail took the prize against a program that included The Sapphires, Dead Europe, Last Dance, Save Your Legs! 100 Bloody Acres, Errors of the Human Body and Jack Irish: Bad Debts.
Hail is about Dan, who on losing his love is reduced to savagery and violence. A mix of fact and fiction the story is based on lead actor Daniel Jones’ real life as an ex-con. Jones stars alongside real-life partner Leanne Letch.
Jones was the subject of Cicada, a short film by Courtin-Wilson.
The critics recognised Courtin-Wilson’s “visionary ambition” and “noted his emotional commitment to his subject-matter,...

League One has been an exciting league this season, at both ends of the table. With two games left and still all to play for, the climax of this turbulent year is sure to capture more headlines than usual due to the interesting race between the two steel city clubs for the last automatic spot. Sheffield Wednesday are the team in form but Sheffield United have the extra point on their next-door neighbors.
Here are the main 5 reasons I believe Sheffield Wednesday have what it takes to pip their rivals and rejoin the second tier of English football.
5. The Manager
There was a ripple of shock around Hillsborough when Gary Megson was dismissed of his duty after the steel city victory. However it seems to have been a masterstroke by chairman Milan Mandaric as Megson’s successor Dave Jones is still undefeated in his Hillsborough reign. The Owls now play...
