It's always a bit of a triumph when an original graphic novel or a creator-owned comic book concept gets picked up in Hollywood, but in the case of the Julia Wertz-edited "I Saw You…" anthology, it's a win for scores of independent creators.
As Variety reported late last week, DreamWorks has purchased Andrea McCloud's romantic comedy pitch based on the Ogn for a sum in the mid-six figures.
The original graphic novel anthology, which was released this past February through Three Rivers Press, contained numerous short stories based on missed-connection ads from newspapers and Craigslist posts from around the United States, but its potential cinematic adaptation will reportedly center around a more manageable four intersecting love stories.
