Based on the young adult novel by Elisa Ludwig, Coin Heist opens with a group of students on a field trip to the Us Mint, their slack-jawed un-enthusiasm only briefly lifting when the cops show up and drag their principal away in handcuffs. Netflix has released the official trailer for its new original movie “Coin Heist,” written and directed by Emily Hagins (“My Sucky Teen Romance”). Based on the 2014 novel of the same name written by Elisa Ludwig, the film stars Sasha Pieterse (“Pretty Little Liars”) and Alex Saxon (“The Fosters,” “Finding Carter”) alongside YouTube star Alexis G.
