Fans of the 2010s Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious are likely familiar with the long-standing rumor surrounding a supposed feud between costars Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande.
Justice played the main character, Tori Vega, in the Nickelodeon show, whereas Grande portrayed Cat Valentine, one of Tori’s quirky and lovable friends. No matter what wacky situation Cat gets into, Tori’s always there for her. Likewise, Cat’s enthusiasm and loyalty are a constant source of support for Tori.

Even though they were heartwarming on the show, according to some outlets, that isn’t the case in real life. A simple online search yields tons of videos and articles claiming there’s bad blood between the two from their Victorious days. But in an interview, Justice cleared things up, calling those rumors “dumb.”

Ariana Grande’s career has been an interesting one as she has constantly shifted mediums and avenues to showcase her talent. She might be a multi-Grammy award-winning pop artist now but she had humble beginnings like many other artists. While music was her passion, she debuted on Broadway with the musical 13 in 2008.

NBC saw solid ratings on Wednesday night with the airing of two Christmas specials
Airing from 8-10 p.m. on Nov. 29, the annual “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special reached an audience of 7 million people when accounting for three days of delayed viewing across NBC, Peacock and digital platforms. The special was the most-watched program on TV that night, and improved on last year’s viewership by 7%. In the key adults 18-49 demographic, it earned a strong 0.8 rating.
This year’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” was hosted by Kelly Clarkson and featured performances by Chloe Bailey, Adam Blackstone, Cher, David Foster, Liz Gillies, Darlene Love, Seth MacFarlane, Barry Manilow, Katharine McPhee, Keke Palmer, Carly Pearce and Manuel Turizo. The traditional goodwill surrounding the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City ran into angry pro-Palestinian protesters just outside the event.
News reports indicated hundreds of protesters swarmed the streets surrounding Rockefeller Center, as police tried to separate Christmas revelers from the protests, pushing back people chanting “river to the sea.” Arrests were made and several fights broke out.
Many of those who wished to see the Christmas tree lighting were turned away in the chaos.
Barry Manilow, Carly Pearce, Darene Love, Katherine Mcphee and David Foster, Liz Gillies, and the Radio City Rockettes were among the artists scheduled to perform.
The event was televised by NBC, which focused on the stars on the stage to the exclusion of the riotous behavior yards away.
Waving Palestinian flags and signs, the protesters gathered along Sixth Avenue alongside tourists waiting in line to see the tree ceremony.

Victoria Justice is making it clear that things are all good between her and her former "Victorious" costar Ariana Grande. In an April 18 interview with E! News at Coachella, Justice expressed some of her frustrations with rumors that the pair might be feuding. "I don't even need to talk about this anymore," she said, "but Ariana texted me, and we both were like, 'This is so stupid.'"
"I think the biggest rumor is just like this whole narrative that was created of me being jealous of her and us not being friends," Justice continued. "This is so dumb. Ten years later. How is this even a story? This is so stupid." The actor went on to confirm that she and Grande have texted and assured each other that there are no hard feelings. She also said that their feud was an example of "the media and people wanting to pit people against each other.

Fresh off his gig hosting this year’s Primetime Emmys, comedian and “SNL” veteran Kenan Thompson is back on stage Thursday night in Atlanta, as he kicks off the 13th edition of his “Kenan Presents The Ultimate Comedy Showcase” — and this time with a few new technological wrinkles.
The stand-up comedy search, which leads off at the Atlanta Comedy Theatre on Sept. 22, follows Thompson as he scouts for adult comedians and talented kids in more than 50 cities. Among the new elements, all around the country (50+ major cities).
Thompson has teamed up with Rendered Talent to include a virtual reality option for participants to partake in the metaverse through the “Failed To Render Comedy Club.” In addition, Thompson partnered with Proto to be able to join live shows through the metaverse as a digital hologram, attending showcases digitally to accommodate his busy schedule via Proto’s 4K hologram device.

Tubi announced on September 22 it has begun production on its upcoming original movie Spread. Spread is inspired by the true story of an idealistic young woman who takes a job as a temp at an old-fashioned adult magazine. The film stars Elizabeth Gillies (Dynasty) and Harvey Keitel. Gillies plays Ruby, “an aspiring journalist and staunch feminist, who has big dreams but has not done much to make them a reality,” the logline teases. “Broke and desperate, Ruby is forced to swallow her pride and take a temp job at Spread, an outdated adult magazine. There she discovers that despite the industry, this is just another office job with bad coffee, stale pastries, and unhappy employees.” “Planning to escape as soon as possible, Ruby somehow finds herself making a good impression on her boss, Frank Ferretti (Keitel), a former industry king who has been riding on his glory days,” it continues.

Elizabeth Gillies won't be returning to Dynasty anytime soon. Fresh off the heels of the show's cancellation, the actress, who starred as heiress Fallon Carrington throughout the series' five-season run, explained why she wouldn't return to to the character, if asked. "No, I'm not," Gillies said on Sept. 15's episode of The Zach Sang Show, responding to if she'd be "in" for another season of the show. "I've already processed this. It's like, you're asking me something like, if somebody broke up with you—if your relationship came to a natural ending with whoever you're with—if they called you back after you...

Dynasty, the CW’s reboot of the beloved ABC sudser from the ’80s, came to an end Friday night after five seasons. Here, showrunner Josh Reims talks about what he really wanted to do in the last episode, and how odd it was that ratings for the sudser were never really discussed.
Deadline: Did you have enough time to plan for a series finale?
Josh Reims We actually planned a series finale and a season finale, just in case. We did twice the work, basically.
Did you know you wanted to end with the wedding?
Reims That came up near the end. For some reason we kept ending seasons with weddings and we thought it would be fun to do it again. We figured Culhane (Robert C. Riley) and Nina (Felisha Terrell) were the best couple to do it, and we liked the idea of playing around and having viewers...

Daniella Monet, who starred alongside Victoria Justice and Arianna Grande in Nickelodeon series “Victorious”, is looking back at the show with a critical eye.
Monet, who played Trina Vega on the series, spoke to Insider for an exposé on Dan Schneider, creator of “Victorious” and other Nickelodeon series, who abruptly parted ways with the network in 2018 amidst allegations of abusive behaviour.
While Monet says her experience on the show was largely positive, she admitted that “once in a while” she was asked to do things that felt uncomfortable to her.

Daniella Monet is speaking out about the environment on Nickelodeon's "Victorious." Monet played Trina on the series alongside Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gillies, and Victoria Justice. Monet was 18 when she started filming "Victorious," and all of her costars were younger.
On Aug. 30, Insider published an investigation into the work of "Victorious" creator Dan Schneider, who also produced Nickelodeon series like "Zoey 101," "Drake and Josh," "iCarly," and more. Jeanette McCurdy, who starred on "iCarly" and "Sam & Cat," recently spoke out about behavior on set of those shows by a person referred to as 'The Creator," in her memoir "I'm Glad My Mom Died," which some readers have interpreted as a reference to Schneider.
Monet told Insider that she previously reached out to Nickelodeon after filming a "Victorious" scene where she ate a pickle while applying lip gloss. She felt it was too sexual, but the network aired it anyway.

Netflix released their movie adaptation of "13: The Musical" on Aug. 12, and the film - about a group of middle schoolers who struggle with love, friendship, and bar mitzvahs - is full of songs that will be stuck in our heads for weeks. It's also sending us down memory lane to the original Broadway production of "13 the Musical." The show broke barriers at the time, since it was the first (and so far only) to feature a cast and band that was made of just teens. But it's also memorable for another reason - Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies were both in the original cast! In 2008, both joined the show during its pre-Broadway run, and they made the transfer to the Great White Way. Gillies played Lucy, while Grande played Charlotte.

The road to Netflix's screen adaptation of Jason Robert Brown's acclaimed broadway musical "13" has been over 10 years in the making. The original musical has had several showings worldwide since its 2007 premiere in Los Angeles, with New York City's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre and London's Apollo Theater among some of the famous venues it has reached.
"13: The Musical" revitalizes Brown's original story nearly 15 years after its debut and features a strong cast that includes breakout star Eli Golden, along with beloved actors Josh Peck, Peter Hermann, and Debra Messing. The storyline behind the film, which centers around 12-year-old Evan Goldman (Golden) caught in the fallout of his parents' divorce while planning his bar mitzvah, sounds like it could be based on a true story, or at least partially based in reality.
While "13: The Musical" is not a true story, it does draw inspiration from real life.

In Netflix's "13: The Musical," based on the Broadway show of the same name, Eli Golden stars as Evan Goldman, a middle schooler who's obsessed with having the perfect bar mitzvah - even as his life seemingly falls apart amid his parents' divorce. Evan relies not just on his friends, but also his rabbi (played by Josh Peck), his parents (Debra Messing and Peter Hermann), and his grandma (Rhea Perlman) for advice and wisdom. And in real life, Golden also got lots of guidance from his more-experienced costars. Perlman and Peck specifically had great counsel for the 15-year-old about transitioning from a child star into an adult actor in the ever-challenging industry.

This article contains spoilers for The Orville: New Horizons and Star Trek.
With a team composed of comedic writers from Seth MacFarlane’s catalog of animated shows, and Star Trek veterans such as Brannon Braga and David A. Goodman, The Orville: New Horizons has been leaning further away from the comedy, and more toward the “Trek” lately.
That isn’t meant to insinuate that The Orville is derivative, as many of the comparisons have come from the same writing team who created the idea first. However, it does seem that they’ve often used successful character dynamics, tropes, or story beats from their past writing, even perhaps improving upon them the second time. If the writers are trying to make a good thing even better, many fans would agree it has worked, with some even calling The Orville the best Trek out there right now.

There will be no Season 6 for the CW’s Dynasty. The CW has opted not to renew the reboot of the iconic 1980s soap, and it will end with the current fifth season.
Dynasty was considered among the most vulnerable CW series to snag a renewal. It was the victim of disappointing ratings and its previous renewals, along with 4400, had been motivated by the money the series generates for CBS Studios through the show’s Netflix deal.
Dynasty hails from Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, CBS Studios and Fake Empire. Schwartz and Savage teamed with Revenge writer-producer Sallie Patrick and the original series’ creators, husband-and-wife duo Esther Shapiro & Richard Shapiro, for a new modern-day reboot of the classic Aaron Spelling-produced ABC series.

“Charmed,” “Dynasty,” “Roswell, New Mexico” and “In the Dark” have been canceled at The CW, Variety has learned.
Both “Roswell, New Mexico” and “In the Dark” have already completed filming on their upcoming seasons and will conclude after those episodes have aired.

The drama is flowing on Dynasty Season 5!
It sure sounds like things are going to get crazier on Dynasty Season 5 Episode 5, airing March 25 on The CW at 9 p.m.
"Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) and Liam (Adam Huber) go to work on their new plan," reads the official logline, hinting that there's some unity between the show's central couple.
If you watch Dynasty online, you know their relationship hit another snag in the form of their chat about having children.
The pair have worked on their relationship of late, and hopefully, they are able to navigate this latest hurdle in a mature way.
The show has a real opportunity to show that the continued tension between Fallon and Liam is not phoned in to increase the drama.
"As Sam (Rafael de la Fuente) works on his own work/life balance, a guest at La Mirage gives him something to think about," the logline adds.

Fallon and Liam's relationship has hit another snag.
Out of everything that took place on Dynasty Season 5 Episode 4, the consequences of their conversation about children will have far-reaching ramifications.
If you watch Dynasty online, you know Fallon has been thinking about bringing children into her life for a while.
The shooting understandably changed her outlook on life, allowing her to realize there was something missing.
She and Liam have made many positive strides in their relationship since the shenanigans with Eva, but I didn't expect them to have wildly different views on children.
In Liam's defense, neither of them has the strongest relationship with their parents, so my theory is that Liam will be concerned about that.
Bringing children into the world is a big thing, and if either party is not as invested as the other, it can lead to resentment.
However, it's necessary to have these tough conversations before the fact.

For Ariana Grande, home is wherever her people are! In a series of Instagram photos and videos captioned, "home is wherever these humans (and dogs) happen to be :)," the "Thank U, Next" singer, 28, gave fans a rare look into what her home life with her pets, friends and husband Dalton Gomez is like.
