Tyler Perry is a hit-making machine, and his most recent film, Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself (2009), ranks not only as yet another box office success, but also as one of his better, more mature and most emotionally relatable (and fulfilling) productions. Out now on DVD and Blu-ray from Lionsgate, the film stars the superb Taraji P. Henson, building on her strong, Oscar-nominated turn opposite Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).
