- Growing up in the D.C. Metro area as one of five, Chris began acting at the age of 2 in several T.V. commercials, print ads, and in regional theatre.
Chris ventured out to Chicago where he studied business and philosophy at Loyola University Chicago. While in school, Chris briefly took classes at the renowned Second City in Chicago, where passion was fueled to ultimately speed up his move east to New York City to further his acting training. Chris intensified his academic studies, and set out to New York City with 6 credits left to graduate.
While in N.Y.C, Chris studied at the Barrow Group and completed a 2+ year conservatory program at the famed William Esper Studio. To survive and pay his way, Chris worked as a bellman at the Hudson Hotel in N.Y.C, while also completing his remaining college credits at Fordham and Pace University.
While working at the Hudson, Chris was scouted by FORD Models and several acting agencies and appeared in many ad campaigns over the next 5 years. During this same period, Chris performed in various Off-Off, Off-Broadway productions, Soap Operas, and commercials.
After graduating from the William Esper Studio in the summer of 2007, Chris picked up west coast acting representation and set out to Hollywood where he found success in booking several national commercials, T.V. shows, and consideration for several lead roles in major studio films. While working, Chris continued his studies with the Upright Citizens Brigade, Groundlings, Margie Haber, and Lesly Kahn.
In 2011, Chris co-founded By The Bay Productions and produced several unscripted T.V. concepts with his BTB team that were shopped and optioned with major TV Networks.
He continues to write, direct, and produce shorts & features which have received recognition at several festivals including Austin, Soho, BAFF, Kairos, and more.- IMDb Mini Biography By: B.P.C
- Natural swimmer. Made junior Olympic cut times for the 100 yd breaststroke. His sister swam on an NCAA scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh.
- Took army ROTC for 2 years while studying at Loyola University Chicago, where he learned combat techniques, shooting artillery, army drills, and flew in Blackhawks.
- Received 2 Senator nominations, as well as a congresswoman's nomination to be accepted into the Air Force Academy.
- His grandfather, Robert E. Prangley, is buried at Arlington National Cemetary.
