Directed by Justin Clough, the video was shot at the abandoned Nara Dreamland theme park in Japan, which was built in 1961 to look almost identical to Disneyland. Bohnes and his crew snuck in to film the clip before it was permanently torn down at the end of 2016.

Today is National Canadian Film Day and there's no better way to celebrate than by watching Canadian movies!
Canadian films are largely underrated, but there are tons of filmmakers, both new and old, that are resurrecting the Canadian film scene. While Quebec has always had a strong presence in the film-making world, with directors like Xavier Dolan, Denis Villeneuve and Jean Marc Vallee constantly doing us proud, there's also a lot of great efforts from the English-speaking Canadian film realm, that we often forget about. Legends like David Cronenberg, Deepa Mehta and Guy Maddin have always made distinct, challenging work, and there's a new emerging scene--from the more established filmmakers like Jason Reitman and Sarah Polley, to a new crop of directors like Matt Johnson and Andrew Cividino.

New initiatives at Cph:dox include Britdoc’s Good Pitch event, a cultural summit and tech innovation pitches at Propeller Springboard.
Cph:dox has awarded its Dox:award to Last Men in Aleppo, directed by Feras Fayyad and co-directed by Steen Johannessen.
The jury said the film, about volunteers in the war-torn Syrian city, is “a film whose devastating emotional immediacy plunges us into a Shakespearean tragedy of a people striving to retain their humanity in the face of impossible realities.”
The film previously won the grand jury prize in Sundance’s World Cinema Documentary competition.
Special mentions went to Gray House by Austin Lynch and Matthew Booth and The John Dalli Mystery by Jeppe Rønde.

Welcome back to the Weekend Warrior, your weekly look at the new movies hitting theaters this weekend, as well as other cool events and things to check out.
This Past Weekend:
Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood’s real-life drama about airline pilot Sully (Warner Bros.) far surpassed all expectations, making nearly $10 million more than my prediction with an opening weekend of $35 million in 3,525 theaters, also making it one of the biggest openings for a movie opening the weekend after Labor Day. The Screen Gems thriller When the Bough Breaks disappointed compared to some of their similar releases, taking second place with around where we predicted with around $14 million. The lower profile animated film The Wild Life (Summit/Lionsgate) did end up in fifth place behind Don’t Breathe and Suicide Squad, but with a measly $3.3 million in 2,493 theaters. As expected, Relativity’s theatrical return with its own horror/thriller The Disappointments Room...

After noticing an “alarming” rise in Lapd violence, Los Angeles Police Commission President Matt Johnson unveiled a plan on Tuesday to reduce police shootings, which have doubled in 2015 from last year. His announcement comes just a few weeks after filmmaker Quentin Tarantino hurled the issue back into the national spotlight while participating in an anti-police brutality rally, where he referred to cops who have killed suspects during arrests as “murderers.” The statement has garnered considerable outrage from police organizations across the country, but the “Hateful Eight” director defended himself by clarifying, “All cops are not murderers.” Johnson is concerned about a “crisis of confidence” in.

Most of us wish we could've gone to Hogwarts, but we're not all magically qualified. What about Matilda Wormwood? You may recall the 1996 movie "Matilda" starring Mara Wilson as a young genius with mean parents, a bully for a principal, and -- oh yeah -- telekinesis! Everything about her story seems fit for the world of "Harry Potter." What if she got an invitation to Hogwarts? How would that play out?
Actress Mara Wilson acknowledged that she was not the one to come up with the Matilda-at-Hogwarts idea, but she weighed in on the subject in a series of tweets with fans. Here's what she's written in the past day:
Ha. "Matilda is the story of Hermione if she'd been raised by the Dursleys." I can see it.
- Mara Wilson (@MaraWritesStuff) September 29, 2015
Matilda would have also been split between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, but ultimately go to the former.

It was a terrifying sight. A fisherman who waded into a Utah river on Saturday afternoon discovered an upside-down vehicle submerged in the water. Alarmed, he called 911. Police and firefighters arrived at the scene and made a gruesome discovery: the body of 25-year-old Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck was still strapped in the driver's seat. But the tragic scene turned miraculous when they found an 18-month-old girl in her carseat. She was injured, but alive. She was airlifted to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, where she remains in critical condition. How she lived is a mystery to police, who are investigating the accident.

"It gets better," goes the campaign to lift the spirits of those burdened by being outsiders. But what happens if you just can't make it? What if losing yourself in hobbies or spending time with your best friend just isn't enough to overcome the constant harassment and bullying? That's the central question of Matthew Johnson's rather nervy and impressive directorial debut "The Dirties." Hitting the festival circuit hard this year, the film has slowly been gaining a steady buzz, in large part due to its Grand Jury Prize and Next Wave Spotlight wins at Slamdance and Fantastic Fest. And now it's headed to a theater near you. Starring Johnson (who also co-wrote and produced the film) alongside Owen Williams, the story chronicles two cinema-loving high school best friends making a movie for a class project, in which they play detectives bringing down the bullies at their high school. But...

By Steve Baltain
Like many of his fellow British musicians, Johnny Marr has very strong opinions on recently deceased British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. "My thoughts are that if you see the word 'Thatcherism,' it’s not a word that stands for something good," Marr told Rolling Stone when we met him in his trailer backstage at Coachella. "I don’t think there’s any getting around that."
The guitarist was particularly put off by praise from the current regime in England. "I thought that the British government’s statement that she made Britain great again was false and really arrogant because everybody knows, left or right, that Margaret Thatcher didn’t make Britain great," he said. "If that was the case then why isn’t it? I felt like that was very, very disrespectful to generations of families who have never recovered from her legacy.

Gerard Butler is in talks to star in the bigscreen adaptation of the comic book series Afterburn. Frequently described as “Indiana Jones meets Mad Max,” the Red 5 title is set in the near future, after a massive solar flare strikes Earth, destroying the Eastern Hemisphere. Europe, Africa, Asia, India and Russia have become wastelands, and what life remains (like sharks!) is mutated. Butler would play Jake, who leads a team of “recovery experts” who venture into the danger zone to secure treasures like the Mona Lisa, the Rosetta Stone, and the Crown Jewels for wealthy Western clients. They have their competition,...
