The son of the well known Czech composer, Zdenek Pololanik, studied
both violin and conducting at Brno Conservatory. In 1996, he earned his
Master of Arts degree in conducting at the Janacek Academy of Music and
Performing Arts.
From 1996, he has been teaching at the Church Conservatory in Kromeriz
and Film School in Zlin. In 1998-9, he led the International Conductors
Workshops in Kromeriz. In 2001, he became the Executive and Artistic
Director of the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, one of the oldest
symphony in Europe.
As a conductor, he has cooperated with leading orchestras, choirs and
opera houses in the Czech republic and abroad. To this time, he made
several dozens of recordings of contemporary, film and pop symphony
music.
Now, he runs his Capellen Music Production and devotes namely to
concerts, orchestration and recordings of the film and pop symphony
music for clients from around the world.
