Britain has been graced with another beautiful rainbow ahead of Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral Monday. On September 8, when Buckingham Palace announced the death of Her Majesty, onlookers in England marveled at a double rainbow appearing opposite the Palace, popping up after a morning of dark clouds and rainfall.
Now, on the eve of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, another vibrant rainbow shined over the Palace of Westminster where England’s longest-reigning monarch has been lying in state.
Sharing a photo of the moment, government official Joe Porter wrote, “The most incredible rainbow over the Palace of Westminster on the eve of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.”

Article by Cliff Saxton
Cliff Saxton is the Archivist for Micds (Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School), known as St. Louis Country Day School when Vincent Price attended in the 1920’s. In 2011 I asked Mr. Saxton to write an article about Vincent Price’s days at Country Day in honor of Vincentennial, the Vincent Price 100th Birthday Celebration, which we were preparing. There is information here I have never seen in any biographies of Vincent Price and I thank Mr. Saxton for taking the time to research and write this article. In honor of it being Vincent Price week here in St. Louis with Victoria Price in town for three fun events (read about the details of those Here), We Are Movie Geeks has decided to re-post Cliff Saxton’s article.

Director: Alex Craig Mann. Writers: Alex Craig Mann and Rob Rinow. Cast: Jacob Zachar, Alexa Nikolas, Christa B. Allen, Jayson Blair, Justin Chon, Max Adler, Joseph Porter and Michele Messmer. Detention of the Dead is a throwback to films of the '80s. The Breakfast Club (1985) is especially influential in director Alex Craig Mann's first film. The characters are cliches and the zombies are far from terrifying. Instead, Detention of the Dead relies on some silly comedy and high school drama to keep the film's story interesting. But, this story might not be compelling for most film fans. The film is set in Lincoln High School. Here, a zombie virus is ravaging the school's halls and classrooms. The stereotypical: jock (Jayson Blair), cheerleader (Christa B. Allen), nerd (Jacob Zachar), stoner (Justin Chon), goth girl (Alexa Nikolas) and jock #2 must battle their way to the library, because students never go there.

If Disney's "Prom" was a tribute to John Hughes, then "Detention of the Dead" is its "Shaun of Dead" zombie counterpart.
Still in the midst of filming out in Michigan, "The Hard Times of Rj Berger" star Jayson Blair made time to chat with Zap2it about his role in the upcoming Zombie flick.
"At it's core it's a huge tribute to John Hughes and all those '80s films like 'The Breakfast Club,'" he tells us about the film. "The characters are really, really, really modeled after all the characters in 'The Breakfast Club,' but with Zombies in a comedy sort of fashion."
Blair, who plays bully jock Max Owens on the MTV scripted comedy, joins an all star teen-favorite cast on the Gala Films project.
Among his costars are Jacob Zachar (Rusty Cartwright, "Greek"), Justin Chon (Eric Yorkie, "The Twilight Saga"), Alexa Nikolas (Nicole Bristow,...

How many of you out there have seen Charles Band's and his Full Moon Feature's Gingerdead Man starring Gary Busey? Well if you haven't you need to so you can watch Gingerdead Man 2 :The Passion of the Crust and the upcoming Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver. Right now let's focus on the Passion of the Crust which is the evident sequel to Gingerdead Man.
Gingerdead Man 2: The Passion of the Crust is as much fun as you could expect from a Full Moon movie. Watching each victim (this time on a movie set) get stalked down and killed by this killer cookie is just laughable yet still enjoyable to the point it just draws you in. The effects are what you would expect but to me that makes it more enjoyable and cheesy...
