Photos & Clip from Wynonna Earp Episode 110: “On this Friday’s episode of Syfy’s hit series Wynonna Earp, Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) and Dolls (Shamier Anderson) investigate the haunting, snowy Barrens, where rumors of a bloodthirsty beast could prove Bobo’s (Michael Eklund) undoing – and their own. Doc (Tim Rozon) confronts his murky future and takes action, with Waverly’s (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) inadvertent help.
You know the saying, every town has its Manson family. And Wynonna has just found Purgatory’s.

Let’s face the facts, it’s an amazing feat of athleticism just to make it to the Ufc. However, everyone worth their salt as a competitor wants one thing: to wear the championship belt. Unfortunately for the athletes on this list, chances are that they will never hear Michael Buffer refer to them as the New Ufc Champion.
Olympic competition, collegiate wrestling, championships in other organizations, being in the best Mma camp in the world; none of these things guarantee even a title opportunity in the Ufc. This is a list of popular fighters. Most of them have the charisma to put butts in the seats. Many of them are knowledgeable enough to coach. But the hard facts say they just aren’t going to get that Ufc belt.

What went down at Ufc Fight Night 48, and what did we learn?
The Ufc returned to Macau, China today for Ufc Fight Night: Bisping vs. Le, otherwise known as Ufc Fight Night 48. It wasn’t a huge event on paper, but it featured two compelling fights in Michael Bisping vs. Cung Le (a fun fight for the fans) and Tyron Woodley vs. Dong Hyun Kim (a chance to Kim to emerge as a contender, and Woodley to get back into the title picture after a tough loss earlier this Summer to Rory MacDonald).
The rest of the card was underwhelming at best on paper, but as we’ve learned in the past, cards that look weak on paper can often deliver a lot of surprisingly good action.
A pair of fights went to a (split) decision to open the card, with Elizabeth Phillips dropping her fight to the debuting Russian Milana Dudieva,...

According to the Ufc’s official website, number six ranked welterweight and former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard has fallen to injury, and will be replaced by Tyron Woodley at the upcoming Ufc Fight Night: Le vs. Bisping in Macao, China. The event takes place August 23rd at the Cotai Arena.
Woodley most recently fought at Ufc 174 in Vancouver, losing a unanimous decision to Canadian Rory MacDonald in which he was badly outworked. The match resulted in Ufc president Dana White publicly criticizing Woodley’s performance, saying that he “chokes in big fights.” Woodley now has the chance to quickly right the ship against number nine ranked Dong Hyun Kim, a.k.a. Stun Gun, who enters the fight on a four fight win streak, with wins over John Hathaway, Erik Silva, Siyar Bahadurzada, and Paulo Thiago dating back to 2012. His last two wins, over Silva and Hathaway, came by way of knockout.

Dana White once said that the reason Mma is successful is because fighting is a base human behavior. If there are four corners, and one has a basketball game, one has baseball, one has street hockey and then a fight breaks out on the fourth, where are all the people going to go? Obviously they’re going to run over and watch the fight. But if some of the fights on this list had been happening, they would’ve gone back to their original corners pretty quickly.
With Ufc cards occurring at a staggering frequency, it’s become hard to keep up with who is fighting who at any given time. Between pay-per-view, Fox, Fox Sports 1 and the digital network Ufc Fight Pass, there seemingly isn’t a weekend that goes by without the chance for us rabid fans to get our fix of fisticuffs.
The downside to that frequency is less marquee fights,...

The Ufc returns to Japan this weekend with another Fuel TV card and, in truth, this one is pretty freaking stacked from top to bottom. For the complete preview of the card, including Facebook prelims, fellow WhatCulture.com columnist, Mitchell Stucky, joined me on the Getting Lucky Mma Podcast (E030). Main card preview below.
Main Card Preview
Dong Hyun Kim (16-2-1, 1) vs. Siyar Bahadurzada (21-4-1), Ww: Kim is a world class grappler and judoka, which was evident in his utter dismantling of Paulo Thiago, Bjj black belt, on the ground back at Ufc: Macao. The only people to defeat Kim are Demian Maia, the best Bjj master in all of mixed martial arts, and Carlos Condit, a fighter that is surprisingly effective in his offense from the guard and extremely well rounded in all areas.
Siyar makes a great story as an Afghan fighter with tremendous power, 11 KOs.
