Does claustrophobia set in easily for you? Then you may want to steer clear of the video aisles of your favorite stores as last year's intense buried alive flick (starring the future Green Lantern) is coming on home.
Being that this is another light week release wise, you don't have too many other options. That is unless you're in the mood for high speed chases featuring coffin-looking vehicles that could end up causing just as much anxiety.
Or maybe you'd just like to find comfort in another Roger Corman fest from a kinder, gentler era - a triple treat that has nothing to do with coffins. Yay!
Buried (Blu-ray Review)
Directed by Rodrigo Cortés
Starring Ryan Reynolds, and the voices of Samantha Mathis, Erik Palladino, José Luis García Pérez, Robert Paterson, Stephen Tobolowsky
Paul Conroy is not ready to die. But when he wakes up six feet underground with no...

Scottish movie star Ewan McGregor has explained the delay of his new movie, "I Love You Phillip Morris" - Disney bosses didn't want young film fans thinking their Ebenezer Scrooge was gay. The film, in which McGregor and Jim Carrey play lovers, was initially slated for release in 2009, but movie bosses behind the "A Christmas Carol" blockbuster feared Carrey's portrayal of a gay man would confuse their audience, according to the Scot.
McGregor tells the new issue of Out magazine, "There was talk that Disney fended off the release until after 'A Christmas Carol' came out. They didn't want kids thinking Ebenezer Scrooge was a bender."
"I Love You Phillip Morris", which was a sensation at last year's in January 2009 Sundance Film Festival in Utah, will finally hit cinemas at the end of March. Other artists who join Ewan McGregor and Jim Carrey in cast ensemble included Leslie Mann, Rodrigo Santoro,...

Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor have been honored by French Culture Minister as they were named knights in the National Order of Arts and Letters for their contributions to the film industry. And the two actors had the same thought in expressing their pride, by smooching each other on the lips.
Giving the prestigious title, Minister Frederic Mitterrand gave a far-from-formal speech. As quoted by BBC, during the February 1 ceremony, Minister Frederic exclaimed, "I love you, Jim Carrey! I love you, Ewan McGregor!" Jim and Ewan themselves were in Paris to promote their new big screen project "I Love You Phillip Morris" where they play as gay lovers.
Back in January, at Sundance Film Festival's press conference, the Carl Allen of "Yes Man" shared his locking lips experience with Ewan in their movie, saying "If I were to be really honest, there is a homophobic voice that rises up inside me.

Thanks to TrailersLand (via Coming Soon) we have an international French trailer for Jim Carrey's upcoming feature with Ewan McGregor I Love You Phillip Morris based on a book by Houston Chronicle crime reporter Steve McVicker in which Carrey will play Steven Russell, a married father whose conman ways introduced him to the Texas prison system. There, he falls in love with cellmate Phillip Morris (McGregor). His love for Morris motivates his escape from prisons four times, once by using a green pen and bucket of water to change his prison outfit into what appeared to be surgical scrubs, another time by faking his death from AIDS and signing his own death certificate. Morris eventually got out, but Russell's escapades got him a 144-year sentence. As I watched the trailer below I got bored out of my mind. I stopped it just as he met Phillip Morris at two...

Not too long ago I downloaded all the stills and information for this week's MGM release, College. However, I did nothing with it because, let's face it, this movie looks pretty stupid and I wasn't going to give it any kind of serious attention. Then I realized Laremy needed to have this thing in the database in order to do his Box-Office Oracle article at the end of the week. As we all realize there are enough idiots out there in this world to possibly give this film a $6-8 million opening. That is if the geniuses that go to see Disaster Movie feel like making it a double feature weekend. So, after I added the movie, the pictures and the trailer I realized I needed to add the cast and director. Guess what, I only had two of them in the database. No worries, hop on over to the...

If ever a scandalous situation was born to live again in a Lifetime movie, it was the one that occurred last year in McKinney, Tex., after a bunch of nasty, spoiled cheerleaders who ran their school like the SS (spoiled sexpots) caused so much terror that it became a national story.
How much do I love the idea of cheerleaders gone bad, who beat up other cheerleaders? Who knew there even was such a thing as marauding, run-amok, scary cheerleaders to begin with? It's all so - what? - so Texan of them.
Lifetime's wonderfully titled "Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal,...
