Marvel is bringing back Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk after initially recasting the role for Daredevil: Born Again. When the reboot was announced, it was revealed that some characters from the original series would return. Vanessa Fisk was one of the major characters who had been recast, with Sandrine Holt taking on the role.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is one of the most talked-about upcoming MCU projects, partly due to the fan-fueled hype and partly due to its turbulent production that’s been plagued with everything from SAG-AFTRA strike to creative differences in what the showrunners wanted and what the studio wanted.
Later it was announced that the new version of the show would be more akin to the continuation of the original Netflix series, with many actors reprising their roles. Carlie Cox will return to reprise his role as Daredevil, and D’Onofrio will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Jon Bernthal will portray Frank Castle, aka the Punisher. Margarita Levieva plays Heather Glenn, a love interest of Matt Murdock. Michael Gandolfini appears as Daniel Blade, and Genneya Walton plays Bb Urich, a young journalist. While it may still be in the late development stages at the moment, fans can not help but get excited for the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in the upcoming MCU series Daredevil: Born Again.
Since it was announced back in 2022 that the star will reprise his role as The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen in the MCU, people have just been dying to know more details about it at every step of the series’s creation.

Along with him, it’s now confirmed that his co-stars Deborah Ann Woll and Eldon Henson, including most of the major stars from Netflix’s Defenders universe, will make an appearance. We can barely contain our excitement about the news that Disney+ is bringing back Daredevil in a bid to reignite the character for Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The glimpses of Matt Murdock that we got on Echo and Spiderman: No Way Home were great, but we have missed this tortured, hopeless do-gooder and his heart of gold.
At the risk of sounding like a superfan (guilty), this Marvel nerd has faithfully watched everything that has led up to this moment, hoping for an eventual Daredevil return.
Now that it's actually happening, there's a lot to cover -- let's dive in.

MCU’s attempts to change how studios approached TV has been a hit or miss, as apart from Loki and a few exceptions, the reception to most Disney Plus MCU shows has been mixed. And it seems the failure of high-budget shows like She-Hulk and Secret Invasion was the last nail in the coffin, as moving forward, the studio will be approaching the medium more traditionally.
This resulted in MCU’s upcoming show, Daredevil Born Again, starring Charlie Cox, undergoing a complete overhaul, with its production going back to square one. Fortunately, this resulted in two fan favorites from the original show being incorporated into the new one, and Cox couldn’t be happier about the matter.

Many fans are excited to see Elden Henson's return as Foggy Nelson in the McU's upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series. Still, it seems Marvel Studios will make one big change to the character.
After initially planning to release an 18-episode season, Marvel Studios ultimately scrapped most of its plans for the Disney+ series, firing the previous writers and completely reconstructing one of its most important projects.
Initial reports stated that Henson's Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page wouldn't be reprising their roles from the Netflix Daredevil series. However, after the upcoming show was reworked, it was confirmed that they would both appear in some capacity.

2003’s Daredevil came out at a time when superhero movies were beginning to take their modern form. 2000’s X-Men and 2002’s Spider-Man were major box office successes, spawning franchises and, in a way, laying the groundwork for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But they weren’t all destined to be hits, as was the case with Daredevil. Now, 20 years after its release, director Mark Steven Johnson has some thoughts on why it didn’t work.
In a new interview with Yahoo! Entertainment to mark the occasion, Johnson said his Daredevil movie was just too cluttered. “Looking back on it, one of the mistakes I made with the film was wanting to put everything in! I wanted to do Daredevil’s origin story, and I wanted to do the Elektra Saga and I wanted to introduce Bullseye and Foggy. I wanted everything to be in there, but the film could only support so much.

After months of hints and speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Daredevil is back, this time on a different streaming service, Disney+. The original series that ran for three seasons on Netflix starred Charlie Cox as blind lawyer/superhero Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime. The series also featured some of the most savage superhero action this side of Punisher: War Zone. As Cox and D’Onofrio made their way into the far more family-friendly MCU, many assumed that they would have to tone down the violence. But the subtitle of the new series throws that into question.
During the Marvel panel at Sdcc, MCU boss Kevin Feige revealed that the 18-episode Daredevil: Born Again will arrive on Disney+ in Spring 2024. For most people, the subtitle simply refers to the fact that Cox is returning to the role after six years. But for comic book readers,...

When Disney launched its in-house streaming service Disney+ back in 2019, it changed everything about what we understood Marvel television programming to be. Rather than the offbeat, second-tier, or downright weird offerings that were previously spread across a variety of networks and streamers we’d seen in the past, Marvel television suddenly became as important a plank in the MCU’s slow march to pop culture dominance as any feature film.
From the arrival of series finally fleshing out the stories of characters who’d briefly appeared in its movies to more obvious tie-ins and crossovers with the MCU film universe, Marvel TV series are now something very different than they once were just a year or two ago.
This is kind of a shame—because while there’s certainly something to be said for the aggressive corporate synergy that’s now connecting dozens of properties across the biggest franchise in the world,...

The Marvel fandom has been full of questions about Daredevil since it was cancelled late last year. What will happen next for the franchise? Will it get rebooted? We know that Marvel can’t use the character for another couple of years, but when that time’s up, the good news is that the signs are pointing to the studio continuing the adventures of Charlie Cox’s hornhead in some way. Though exactly how they plan to do so is still up in the air.
We Got This Covered has heard from our sources – the same ones who told us Marvel was considering recasting Hawkeye, which we now know to be true, and that Cox was returning to the McU, which reliable insider Daniel Rpk has since corroborated – that Daredevil is definitely getting another season. Fans were devastated when Netflix cancelled Daredevil about a year ago, straight after its critically-acclaimed third season no less. Since then, there’s been a lot of conflicting talk about what’s going to happen next for the Man Without Fear in the McU. Will he be rebooted? Will the show continue on a different platform? Will Charlie Cox be brought into the movies?
Nothing’s officially been announced just yet, of course, but it certainly sounds like the studio still has plans for Matt Murdock. And better yet, it seems that they may be bringing some of his supporting cast into the McU as well.

The Spider-Man: Far From Home ending sets up the future of Peter Parker in the McU. Here's what it all means.
This article contains nothing but Spider-Man: Far From Home spoilers. We have a spoiler free review right here.
Spider-Man: Far From Home has been described as the true ending of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During the lead-up to Avengers: Endgame, people scratched their heads over that suggestion because Endgame was an almost unheard of modern cinematic event and the culmination of an entire universe told over the course of 11 years. Far From Home was about Spider-Man having a wacky European adventure, right?
Then the second snap happened and we suddenly understood. This was going to be an epilogue. Not only due to the complete quagmire of the universe’s new status quo, but because Tony Stark is dead and he’s been treated as Peter Parker’s father figure.

We talked to Cloak and Dagger showrunner Joe Pokaski about that Luke Cage reference and what it means for the series' timeline.
More than perhaps any other show in the Marvel universe, Cloak and Dagger is great at consistently and organically dropping lines that casually solidify its connection to the rest of this rich, fictional world.
One of the best examples came in the penultimate episode of Cloak and Dagger Season 2. We all knew it was coming, but now it’s official. Netflix has cancelled The Punisher and Jessica Jones, meaning that the streaming service has completed its purge of all its Marvel TV series. Just because we expected it, though, that doesn’t do anything to soften the gut-punch of learning that we won’t be seeing Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle and Krysten Ritter’s super-powered private eye on our screens again.
In fact, it seems that some fans just can’t handle the pain, with one Twitter user feeling like a bloodied, angry Wilson Fisk upon finding out the news.

The Netflix corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been only tangentially related to the movies, though there have been oblique references to the major events of the McU in order to remind us that “it’s all connected.” For instance, all those mentions of “The Incident” – aka the Battle of New York in The Avengers – and some discussion of the Sokovia Accords in Jessica Jones season 2.
Because it’s such a thorny issue, though, none of the Defenders-verse shows have referenced the events of Avengers: Infinity War as yet. Daredevil season 3, for example, didn’t pull an Ant-Man and the Wasp and end with Matt Murdock and his pals turning to dust. And thank God it didn’t, otherwise that would’ve made its subsequent cancellation unbearable.
Anyways, we can now confirm that the same can be said of The Punisher season 2, which arrives on Netflix in the new year.

Marvel fans are still reeling from the cancellation of Daredevil after three seasons. Maybe we were half-expecting it following the previous demises of Iron Fist and Luke Cage, but it still came as a massive blow when Netflix announced they wouldn’t be continuing the beloved superhero series for a fourth run. Even after season 3 was generally viewed as the best outing of any Marvel show on Netflix.
Now, Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll has responded to the cancellation with a heartfelt message and thank you to everyone who made the series what it was. Titans Episode 3
Titans is a weird show, and nowhere is this more apparent than in “Origins.” It’s kind of remarkable that every major character on this show is a superhero. There are virtually no Pov characters, whether comics-based or otherwise (think Foggy Nelson or Karen Page on Daredevil) popping in and out of these episodes on a regular basis to give viewers a window into this world. Instead, we have our heroes and we have the strange villains pursuing them, and Titans just assumes you’re cool with being thrown into the deep end.
And you know what? They’re right. “Origins” is by far the best episode of Titans, one that washes away any lingering bad feelings from that uneven first chapter. There’s virtually no action in this episode,...

Daredevil Season 3 featured a standalone episode dedicated to Karen Page, and while I thought it was just a way of faking out the audience and making them think the show was going to kill her off, apparently there was more to it then that.
Showrunner Erik Oleson spoke to Cb and explained why he wanted to do an episode dedicated to the character, and the things he wanted to establish with the character.
“I personally insisted on it. One of the things that I came into season three wanting to do, was to more fully flesh out the characters. . . . And so one of the things I wanted to do when I took over as the showrunner, was to more fully understand Karen and why she behaved the way she is. Why she in Season 1, never really formed a meaningful relationship, a romantic relationship with Matt, and why she then kind...

Daredevil season 3 doesn’t feature any major crossovers with any of the Defenders (save for a jibe at Jessica Jones’ expense) or the Punisher, but it does make a reference to two other Marvel heroes you might not have expected: both Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales!
In episode 12, “One Last Shot,” one scene sees Karen Page arrive at Nelson & Murdock’s makeshift office in the closed-down Fogwell’s Gym. Behind her can be seen a poster for an old match between a couple of boxers named Parker and Morales. There’s no way these names are just a coincidence, and they must’ve been placed there as a homage to the famed Marvel heroes by set designers having some fun.
It’s fitting that it should be two Spider-Men that the show references, too, as everyone – including Charlie Cox – wants to see Daredevil team up with the wall-crawler on the big screen.

Now is a scary, uncertain time to be a fan of Marvel’s Netflix shows. In fact, it’s almost as if Thanos has become a Netflix executive, as the past couple of weeks have seen The Defenders–related series halved with the cancellation of both Iron Fist and Luke Cage. Seeing as we’ve just had the release of Daredevil season 3 this past Friday, fans are now worrying about what the future holds for the most popular of the four shows.
Unfortunately, it seems that things are still up in the air right now, as star Charlie Cox admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that he has no idea if there’ll be more seasons at this point. If another outing does happen, though, the actor isn’t even sure where the show would take Matt Murdock after his redemptive arc across season 3.

After more than two years away, Daredevil returned to Netflix with a third season that finds its central trio more divided than ever. Masked vigilante Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is presumed dead and licking his wounds in hiding. Daredevil Season 3 viewers have spotted a reference to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that appears in the background of a scene involving Karen Page. For those who missed it, you’ll specifically get a chance to see it when we first see Karen working in her office at the newspaper.
We’re sure you noticed the headline referencing the Avengers, but there was another one titled “Blackout Cripples N.Y.” Those who watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D know that’s a shout out to Season 4, which featured a blackout that affected the entire city.
Sure, that’s not exactly a very specific call out, and blackouts happen in the actual New York City so why couldn’t the newspaper just be referencing that? Screenrant reported the ABC series has dropped a handful of references to the Marvel Netflix series, which means...

Daredevil season 3 is very standalone in many ways, with no major crossovers or connections to the wider McU getting in the way of its hugely dramatic central conflict between the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen and his eternal nemesis Wilson Fisk. However, “it’s all connected,” as they say, so there is still one link with another corner of the franchise hidden in the latest run of the Netflix show.
In episode 4, “Blindsided,” one scene takes place at Karen Page’s office at The New York Bulletin. If you pay attention to the newspaper clipping and front pages on the walls behind her, you might notice a headline that mentions blackouts across the city. Marvel fans with an encyclopedic knowledge of the McU may recognize this as a callback to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Everyone loves a big team-up crossover. After years of building up to it, Netflix’s corner of the McU finally reached that with last August’s The Defenders. Of course, the only problem with a big crossover event is that, much like fans started questioning after The Avengers came together on the big screen, you start wondering why the hero can’t just call on their friends for help in their own solo series.
Take Daredevil season 3, for example. Matt Murdock’s at his lowest ebb as his nemesis Wilson Fisk has got himself out of jail while he’s still recuperating from his near-death experience at the end of The Defenders. So, why doesn’t he give the likes of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist – heck, even the Punisher – a ring for some much-needed assistance?

What's next for Matt Murdock, Bullseye, and Kingpin after that Daredevil season 3 ending? We break it all down.
This article consists of nothing but Daredevil season 3 spoilers. We have a spoiler free review here if you prefer.
Daredevil season 3 might just be the best Marvel Netflix season yet. A spectacular return to the more grounded, crime show flavor of the first season, the return of the best villain Marvel has put on screen, the introduction of a new physical threat, and the best action sequences the show has ever produced, it's a real joy. It also, remarkably for any of these shows, maintained its momentum all the way through all 13 episodes. But it's the Daredevil season 3 ending that perhaps leaves the most to unpack.
Showrunner Erik Oleson has been quite open about the fact that "fear" was the key to this story, and it's also key to understanding the Daredevil season 3 ending.

(There are big spoilers ahead for “Daredevil” Season 3 on Netflix)
Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), better known in comic book lore as the Kingpin, is not really that much like Donald Trump in general. He’s a lot more cold and calculating, for one thing — it’s largely his brains that make his criminal empire work, whereas few would say that Trump is the kind of guy who does plans in any normal sense.
And for the most part, in Season 3 of Marvel’s “Daredevil” on Netflix, Fisk is content to work largely behind the scenes doing fun and horrifying machinations, staying several steps ahead of Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) for almost the entire season, easily countering every move they make without taking any public action. But in the eleventh episode of season 3 he finally takes center stage and delivers a...

We’ve got a wicked cool new poster to share with you today for Daredevil Season 3! It shows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) shading his classic red suit to embrace the darkness that lives within so that he can properly let the Devil out to take down Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio).
During a previous interview Charlie Cox opened up about the costume that Matt Murdock wears in Season 3 and explains why the character abandons the red suit in favor of his stripped-down black suit.
“The thing with the costume has always been, for me, it sounds silly, but I really need to feel like, from a story point of view, it makes sense and it’s in keeping with the genre and the tone of the show.

Call me a harsh critic, but the Netflix block of Marvel shows have been suffering from a bit of an identity crisis ever since The Defenders aired last year. Up until the point where New York’s four biggest street-level superheroes teamed up, many of the overarching plots and character arcs were carefully curated and cultivated, all in the hopes of bringing Luke Cage, Danny Rand, Jessica Jones, and Matt Murdock together for a wild ride of a miniseries.
But let’s be honest – The Defenders was a bit of a misfire, and since then, Marvel and Netflix’s new seasons have been largely hit or miss. While the second season of Luke Cage culminated with a tantalizing setup for a third outing, Iron Fist’s sophomore offering fell short of the mark, unable to dig itself out of the hole it nestled...

We’ve got another cool piece of poster art for Daredevil Season 3 to share with you today. It features Charlie Cox in the role of Matt Murdock all decked out in his crime-fighting suit and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin looming over him.
The next chapter of the story is said to be inspired by Frank Miller's 1980 Born Again storyline from the comics. The series will also see the return of Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson.
Newcomers to the series include Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) possibly as Bullseye and Joanne Whalley (The Borgias, Gossip Girl, Wolf Hall) as Sister Maggie, who is Daredevil’s mother. She is the one who nurses Matt Murdock back to health.

Matt Murdock is dead. Long live Matt Murdock. Here's what to expect from Daredevil Season 3.
“Fuck!”
It’s the one expletive we haven’t heard on any of Marvel’s Netflix shows. As far as I can recall, it has never been uttered by a character, and was even muted from some of the rowdier needle drops that peppered the Luke Cage soundtrack.
“Fuck!!!”
But here is Charlie Cox, repeating it at considerable volume at Deborah Ann Woll. And in a church, no less! Of course, it’s not really Charlie Cox angry enough to drop repeated f-bombs on his co-star, but an even more beaten and bloodied Matt Murdock than we’re usually accustomed to. And Matt and Karen Page aren’t really in a church, but an incredible facsimile, built on a soundstage in a remote part of New York.

Netflix has released yet another teaser trailer for Daredevil Season 3 and this one puts the focus on the return of Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin. Matt Murdock is coming back to the vigilante game, but in “Daredevil” Season 3, he might be more anti-hero than superhero.
The Netflix Marvel TVverse is taking a page from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Iron Fist” Season 2, packing in a post-credits scene that reminds folks that, hey, Daredevil is still around. The scene finds Daredevil, bloody and seemingly injured, in a confessional booth, wearing his original black costume with the bandanna tied over his eyes. That’s what he wore when he first started beating up bad guys in Hell’s Kitchen, before getting the cool red Kevlar suit that made him a lot tougher to kill.
In the teaser, Murdock sounds like he’s not going to go easy on whatever criminals and enemies he has to face now that his big set of enemies, the evil immortal ninja crime organization known as the Hand, has been destroyed. From the sounds of things,...

“Iron Fist” Season 2 is here, arriving in what is now a fully formed shared TV universe with Marvel’s other Netflix shows. So let’s take a look at all the ways “Iron Fist” calls back to “Daredevil,” “Luke Cage,” “Jessica Jones” and “The Defenders.” Some spoilers here, obviously.
Season 2 calls back to the literally earth-shattering events of “The Defenders” a few times. Most notably to the biggest development in the Marvel Netflix TVverse so far: the apparent death of Daredevil when the Midland Circle building collapsed on him and Elektra.
Misty Knight (Simone Missick), one of the main characters from “Luke Cage,” also joined the main cast of “Iron Fist in season 2 — paying back appearances by Danny Rand (Finn Jones) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) in season 2 of “Luke Cage.”
Misty also refers back to the battle at Midland Circle in “Defenders,” which was where she lost her arm.

It sounds like Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is ready to fully embrace the devil within in the upcoming third season of Daredevil. Marvel has released the first teaser trailer for the new season. This was actually shown at the very end of Iron Fist Season 2, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
The is the first time we've seen Daredevil since The Defenders. He is sitting in a confessional booth at a church, he's bloodied up and wearing his old black Daredevil costume. As he talks to the priest we see that he's not doing very well and that he's succumbing to the darkness within. He's ready to fully embrace the devil. He says:
"I once believed that justice could be found in a court of law, and in the light of day. But I was fooling myself. Darkness only responds to darkness. The truth is... I'd rather die as the devil,...

What a year it’s been for Marvel’s Netflix heroes.
First came the second season of Jessica Jones, before Mike Colter’s Hero for Hire returned to protect Harlem from new threats (see: the Bushmaster). Fast forward to now, and we’re on the verge of Iron Fist season 2 (our review), which is shaping up to be a streamlined solo adventure for Danny Rand and Colleen Wing, a would-be member of the Daughters of the Dragon alongside Misty Knight.
And while it’s yet to be confirmed outright, 2018 may well herald the launch of Daredevil season 3. Marvel and Netflix’s premier superhero series has been totally absent since as far back as March of 2016, so it’s fair to say that Matt Murdock’s return is long overdue.
Speaking of which, Deadline brings word today that Daredevil‘s third season is coming to New York Comic Con, where Charlie Cox...
