Brave five year old Bethany Fenton is to sing for Simon Cowell on next Saturday’s Britain’s Got Talent final.
The little girl, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour eighteen months ago, revealed that she wanted to sing for Cowell and a friend of the family contacted the show to see if he could make her dream come true.
Bethany’s dad Sean told The Sun how she turned to him one day and said:
“Daddy, I’d love to meet Simon Cowell.”
Sean said:
“It broke my heart when she said that.
“We appealed to the programme and told them our girl was the bravest child you could ever meet.
“They came back with the response that they would be delighted to welcome her to the show.
“We are now doing everything we can to arrange for Bethany to sing Simon her favourite song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Britain’s Got Talent reject Chantelle Readman has admitted that she plans to ditch her best friend and audition alone next year.
Chantelle made her TV debut on tonight’s episode, as she and pal Ruth Banes – known as Different Dreams – sang ‘I Know Him So Well’ for the judges (video here). Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden told Ruth that she was rubbish and asked Chantelle to sing again on her own. Ruth crumpled into a sobbing mess while Chantelle sang the song once more, just as badly. The repeat performance prompted Simon Cowell to tell her ‘this is just a dream,’ before he sent her home.
Chantelle has now decided to pursue her dream again next year, this time as a solo singer. She told The News Of The World:
“I’ve realised that perhaps our voices don’t mesh together that well,” she said.
“But I do think...

Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Olivia Archbold, has revealed that she sang Sarah McLachlan’s ‘In The Arms Of The Angel’ for her audition piece, in memory of her gran who died last year.
Olivia, 14, wowed the judges in Manchester Opera House, when she belted out the emotional song with a surprising maturity for her age (video here). Simon Cowell gushed:
‘You sang that so well, you really made that song your own. I am so so impressed with you, Olivia, that I can’t even tell you.’
She later revealed that she had been inspired by her beloved Nanny Elsie and admitted that she had even sang the song at her funeral last year.
Olivia told the News of the World: “I sang In the Arms of an Angel because sadly my Nanny Elsie passed away at the end of last year and angels were very close to her heart.

Different Dreams were a bubbly duo. And by that we mean plus-sized and slightly weird. Sorry, but that’s the vibe we got from Ruth and Chantelle. Tip for the girls…..never insult the presenters before you even get your chance to shine…it won’t end well!
The girls take to the stage and give an awful version of the Chess song ‘I Know Him So Well.’ The more talkative one sounded good in comparison with her mate, so Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden convinced her to re-audition alone.
Big Mistake! Not only did she reduce her best friend to a blubbering mess but the second time around the song sounded just as bad. Simon carefully deflated her dream with his definite no, but Piers gave a schmaltzy response and a yes. The final decision lay with Amanda Holden and we all know what a bleeding heart she is...
