Kesha has linked up with Dutch DJ and producer Sam Feldt for a new song, “Stronger.”
The track is a punchy bit of empowering dance-pop, with Kesha crooning over delicate synth plunks: “And when the thieves try to steal your faith/Keep pushing through them cause there ain’t no other way/If you wanna get stronger.”
“Stronger” arrives with a music video directed by Andrew Donoho that finds Kesha in an increasingly wild fight with herself, while Feldt appears as the judge/announcer. After a couple of rounds of fisticuffs,...

Update: The full list has been revealed and can be seen below.
Original Post: With the Amsterdam Dance Event now underway, it’s time for the DJ Mag Top 100 to be revealed. As much of a joke as the list has become lately, we all still look forward to it each and every year and though it doesn’t hold too much legitimacy in the eyes of true dance music fans, it’s always interesting to see who ends up coming out on top.
Leaks and rumors have pointed to Martin Garrix emerging as #1 for 2016, something which would certainly make sense given the huge year he’s had. Not to mention he’s also been releasing new tracks left, right and centre this week. With the awards show now streaming live from the Heineken Music Hall, it shouldn’t be too much longer before we figure out whether or not...

After receiving a number of top notch remixes over the last few months for “Keep On Believing” from Lost Causes, Zilverstep and Raiden, as well a number of alternate versions of “Immortal,” Fedde Le Grand is back this week with the release of his latest offering “Down On Me.”
The new single kicks off with a tremolo pad and a whining synth lead, creating a solid introduction before some heavily auto-tuned vocals join the mix. After an energetic build up, Fedde Le Grand pushes “Down On Me” into the drop, complete with uplifting chord stabs and driving club beats.
To coincide with the release of “Down On Me,” Fedde Le Grand has commissioned an accompanying lyric video that features plenty of footage of the DJ on stage performing before packed crowds as he travels the globe.

Fedde Le Grand has a new remix collection out this week for his collaboration with Erene on “Immortal,” taken from his latest album Something Real. The “Immortal” package offers up an eclectic mix of re-imaginings for the recent song, with Tony Romera and Leroy Styles taking on the remix responsibilities.
Tony Romera delivers a funky, future bass flavored rework of the song, injecting stuttering, rhythmic synth phrases, offbeat percussion and arpeggio splashes, while keeping the familiar topline melodies at the forefront of the mix. Leroy Styles brings a deep house take to the table, with bouncy bass hits, ambient synths and four on the floor rhythms. The remix collection also features a stripped down acoustic version that turns “Immortal” on its head, switching out the electronic elements for guitar strums and cavernous live percussion.

“Keep On Believing” made for one of the more memorable tracks from Fedde Le Grand‘s 2016 album Something Real. A handful of producers clearly shared this sentiment, too, as the DJ has released a remix pack consisting of flips of the song from Lost Causes, Zilverstep and Raiden.
Lost Causes injects some future house warmth into the track by replacing its pounding synths with a frequency-modulated bass line, while Zilverstep’s remix is stylistically similar to its source material but incorporates vibrant saxophone into its arrangement. Finally, Raiden’s take features an unexpected contrast between subdued melodies and explosive synth crescendos fit for the main stage.

Taking his accolades into account, he had his work cut out for him while putting together his fourth studio-length album. With electronic music now more of an international commodity than ever, the effort had to compete with what other artists of comparable reputation have been turning out both conceptually and production wise.

Fedde Le Grand has struck an admirable balance as an electronic music artist. Nobody can dispute the mass appeal of his better-known material – and yet, he’s also still managed to make time for projects that pay homage to his more obscure roots.

The three DJ/producers have teamed up on “Give Me Some,” a soulful iteration of the progressive house format in which both camps’ influences are prevalent.
Centered around a sample of Kylie Auldist’s vocal contribution to The Bamboos’ 2009 track “On The Sly,” the arrangement of “Give Me Some” is underscored by a artfully sparse piano chords before a funky bass line builds it up to an electro-tinged peak. It’s always nice that dance music artists nowadays drop previews of their tracks long before their actual release, but you’d usually expect them to be longer than 30 seconds. Fedde Le Grand and Holl & Rush apparently didn’t get this memo, as the preview for their upcoming track, “Feel Good,” clocks in at that exact span of time.
For what it’s worth, though, “Feel Good” sounds like a catchy piece of club-friendly house music. A rave piano melody meets with soulful vocals, making for a lively contribution to both camps’ recent discography. Seeing as how the clip only plays through a couple bars, though, it remains to be seen what the whole of the production brings to the table.
Luckily, the official release date of Fedde Le Grand and Holl & Rush’s “Feel Good” is nearly upon us, as it drops on December 28th.

Nobody debates Fedde Le Grand‘s house music credentials – which is why it’s unexpected to see him tackle big room house at a time when the style gets mocked harder than any other sound in electronic music. For what it’s worth, though, there is decent big room out there, and “That Noise” certainly falls into that category.
Don’t get me wrong, this track doesn’t stray from the main stage formula – it just accomplishes what songs by the likes of Dvbbs, Borgeous and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (or their ghostwriters, anyways) do but with more thoughtful sound design elements. A simple synth pluck melody in the beginning lathers up into a reverberant progression before dropping into a barbaric rhythm engineered to move a few thousand bodies, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t bob my head to it a little.

At long last, DJ Mag has unveiled their top 100 DJs list of 2015. While this year’s results made for a predictable, cross section of the mainstream Edm talent pool’s most accomplished echelon, perhaps nothing spoke to the state of the scene as much as the #1 entry.
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike secured the #1 spot for the first time in their career, all but proving that contemporary dance music is more manufactured than it’s ever been at any point throughout its history. The two artists are famous for enlisting the services of ghostwriters like Maarten Vorwerk to assist in their productions, and engaged in notoriously aggressive marketing campaigns to drum up votes.
More than ever, the results simply prove that the rankings are more for which artists have the biggest marketing budgets than anything else.

At the end of September, Ultra will be heading down to Seminyak’s Potato Head Beach Club in Bali for what looks to be a pretty exciting event. This year, Ultra Beach Bali will be making its big debut and to kick things off, they’ve got a killer line-up that boasts headliners in the form of Skrillex and Alesso.
With over 10,000 people expected to attend, the event is fully sold out, which makes sense given that the two A-list headliners are being supported by a strong collection of talent, including: A-Trak, Fedde Le Grand, Mija, Zeds Dead and Vicetone. All in all, it’s one hell of a roster and it appears that it’s just the start of what looks to be huge plans for the island.
“We want to turn Bali into The exotic party paradise of Asia and Australia,” said Ultra CEO Russell Faibisch.

Fedde Le Grand has had the opportunity to test out his Grand performance concept in Amsterdam, and if the official aftermovie is any indicator, he’s taken Edm stage shows to a whole new level. Prolific videographer Final Kid shot one of the performances recently and what he’s put together looks like no live show we’ve ever seen.
You might remembered when Fedde Le Grand spoke with We Got This Covered about what he had in mind for Grand, saing the following:
“What I didn’t want is me playing, somebody coming on, going off, just random stuff happening,” he told us. “What I really wanted is to take a track, or two tracks, and sit down with the guys who do the choreography, or the guys who do the visuals – preferably all at the same time – so everyone is synced to each other.”

Ultra Miami is still fresh in our minds, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start looking ahead to Ultra Europe and what the festival organizers have in store for us. The initial lineup for the fest itself dropped a few months back and was awfully impressive. Now, we have some details on the rest of the week’s events, including the opening and closing parties.
The celebration will kick off on July 9th in Split at the Giraffe Palm Beach House. As the biggest Edm festival to ever be held in the country, 42,000 fans came out to support acts like Kaskade, Hardwell, Fedde Le Grand, Martin Garrix, Afrojack and more. Considered a massive success on all counts, the official aftermovie has now been released so that those of us on this side of the world can see what we missed out on.
Clocking in at 7 minutes, the video boasts a great look at both the city and the festival while featuring interviews with several of the artists who played. As far as aftermovies go, it’s pretty standard stuff. What does stand out, however, is the first song that’s used.

He may not even be old enough to be permitted entry into the clubs that he headlines, but producer/DJ Danny Avila is quickly proving himself as one of the hottest young talents in the Edm industry. At the young age of 19, Danny has already secured residencies at world-renowned venues like Hakkasan and Space, put out seven very successful singles, has worked with some of the biggest dance music producers out there and continues to build a strong and loyal fanbase.
After learning to DJ at the age of 12, Danny moved from Marbella, Spain to Madrid to seriously pursue a career in music. While there he met Fedde le Grand at a club and the Dutch producer took the young Avila under his wing. From there, things really took off for the Spanish artist, as he soon found himself as one of the most in demand young DJs in the world.

Upon graduating, Romero decided to follow his passion and it wasn’t long before he was signed to his first label, Once Records.

Finally, all the speculation, rumors and heated arguments can come to an end, as DJ Mag has revealed their infamous Top 100 ranking list of the best DJs in the world. Despite being based on popularity rather than talent, people make a pretty deal out of this list every year, and even though it gets a lot of criticism, it’s always fun to see who comes out on top.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, DJ Mag announced the results of their poll and once again, Hardwell emerged victorious, taking the number one spot for the second year in a row. Not far behind him were all the usual suspects (Tiesto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Martin Garrix etc.) and overall, this list is mostly what everyone predicted from the start, as it always is.

Hot off some fantastic sets at Digital Dreams, Ultra Music Festival Europe and Edc Las Vegas, among others, Fedde Le Grand has now officially released his new single, Twisted. The Dutch DJ has been playing this big room record for a while now during his live shows and today, fans can finally download it over on Beatport.
Full of high energy, a catchy vocal sample and some huge synths, the track is definitely a winner. It may not see the same mainstream success as some of his other singles have seen, but longtime fans of Fedde will definitely dig what’s being offered up here, as it’s got all his signature “pounding kick and snare sounds.” Personally, I love it and have no doubt that it will continue to go over very well as the DJ makes his way through his summer tour.

Instead, it went massive. This will be Coachella's 14th hurrah and its second year of splitting the festival into two identical weekends in order to accomodate their vastly multiplying audience. Weekend 1 will take place April 12-14 and Weekend 2 will be April 19-21.
Festival passes for both weekends go on sale Tuesday, January 29th at 10Am Pst. Festival passes for Weekend 1 must be purchased with a shuttle pass or a car camping pass. New for 2013, the price you see is the price you pay — $349 for a Ga ticket and $799 for VIP. Prices reflect all fees included. Layaway is no longer an option for either weekend. Last year's tickets sold out online in under two hours.

Sensation touches down in America on Halloween weekend, bringing some 25,000 all-white wearing revelers to Brooklyn's shiny new cultural touchstone, the Barclays Center.
The crowd will be heading, on Friday and Saturday nights, to take part in a long-running ritual of celebration. Sensation, the global dance event put on by ID&T, is a party which places the emphasis on environments, visuals and performance. That's a departure from many of groups that would, at first glance, be in Sensation's peer group. Though Festivals from Electric Daisy Carnival to Ultra Music Festival are also heavy on Led walls, fireworks and stage production, they essentially focus on the headliners -- culled from a relatively small selection that runs from trance heavyweights like Armin van Buuren to progressive house party rockers like Afrojack.

On Wednesday (April 18), annual Edm boat party Groove Cruise revealed exclusively to MTV News that the 2013 event will take place January 25-28 and launch from Miami. Fans will party their way to Great Stirrup Cay, in the Bahamas, for two days, before doing it all over again on the journey back.
To commemorate the occasion, Groove Cruise has been kind enough to give fans a taste of what they can expect come next year. The Cruise's 2012 video is set to Fedde Le Grand's remix of "Paradise" and features everything one could possibly dream up for an Edm party to the islands: sweeping panoramic shots of the parties aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's vessel and of Great Stirrup Cay.

New York — Due to post-Miami-edm fatigue, Thursday night's Cosmic Opera Act II may have only been for New York's super-committed dance music fans. With 1,500 or so tickets sold, though, for those in attendance, the high-concept Opera-meets-edm party was an exceptional effort.
Dubbed "Imbroglio," the second Act of Co was set in a steampunk world, with the experience meant to evoke the fire, angst and turmoil that comes after two people first meet and fall in love. It was similar to the way that Edm and Opera did in February when Cosmic Opera debuted, featuring Swedish House Mafia's Axwell as headliner.
"There's fire and gritty performances, and aerialists battling it out in a Thunderdome above the audience," Cosmic Opera founder Justin Cohen told MTV News Friday (April 6). "We have this claw chandelier,...

Miami — Trance and electro house music reigned supreme at the final day of Ultra Music Festival, closing out the annual three-day dance music mega-fest that saw more than 200,000 people walk through the gates at Miami's Bayfront Park.
Sunday, Carl Cox handed over the Cocoon's "mega-structure" stage to Dutch trance-music icon Armin van Buuren, who continued his globe-spanning celebration of the 550th episode of his "A State of Trance" radio show, streaming epic, dazzling sets of some of his larger-than-life trance-music friends. Gareth Emery, Atb, Ferry Corsten, Tritonal, and Sander van Doorn were but some of the big stars who had fans packing Cocoon right up to the stage's back gates.

Miami — On Friday, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello — the trio also known as Swedish House Mafia — gave fans at Miami Music Week an event to remember. Their two-hour-plus spectacle at Grand Central Park featured stadium-style house music with a backdrop of pyrotechnics and fireworks.
Add to that the dazzling graphics bouncing off five enormous Led screens, and it was clear that Shm had accomplished an impressive high mark that won't be easy match on Saturday night (March 24), when the event kicks off its second day. MTV News caught up with the Swedes just before their set and they talked to us about the long road to their massively successful Masquerade Motel mini-festival.

'Music and the whole process of music itself should be organic,' Dutch DJ/producer tells MTV News.

A course in Fedde Le Grand 101 would have to include the hit "Put Your Hands up for Detroit" and a track that proved to be dance-floor gold for the Dutch DJ/producer, 2007's "Let Me Think About It." But Le Grand loyalists know that he scored those smashes while appeasing the underground with bombs like "Amplifier" and "Control Room." Now, he's bringing that particular alchemy to his "Dark Light Sessions," a new show on Sirius Xm's Electric Area.
MTV News recently caught up with the Flamingo Recordings founder, and he talked about the kickoff of "Sessions" last November. Le Grand also opened up about his big 2011, detailing how he'll top himself in the months to come.
