Mario Anaya's professional career began with the two major Hispanic
television networks in the United States: Univision and Telemundo.
During his tenure with each of the networks he held top positions such
as producer, director, and writer for popular national and
international television shows and segments. His responsibilities also
enabled him to travel extensively throughout Latin America.
Anaya's passion for the visual arts grew in his native country of El Salvador where in high school he wrote and directed plays for theater. As a youngster, he was also a performer in traditional dance groups and a guest in the popular children's show "Jardín Infantil" on TV 2. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 to pursue his studies in film and television.
