- She is an old good friend of Argentinian director Ciro Cappellari with whom she had a short liaison. She is an outstanding and successful concert pianist.

- The family name of the main character in her script Valentina, Her Piano and the Tangos was given in honor of Atilio Mentasti and her wife "Emita". They used to visit Cecilia Pillado's grandma to play "Canasta", a sort of Rummy Card Game, and let her impressed her by their lively half-Italian, half-Spanish conversation.
- She was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia in 2010 but after 5 months hospital stay and a treatment she won the battle against the disease and made a full recovery.
