River City
I really enjoyed this past week’s River City. First of all, I have to admit that Robbie and Will are growing on me as a couple. No, you won’t see me going all fangirl on them, but I like them much more than I used to. I also think that the pairing has really suited Robbie as a character and has helped to ground and mature what used to be a really flighty and sometimes annoying character. He still can be flighty and annoying, but his relationship with Will has fleshed the character out and softened his more bothersome traits.
I continue to love that River City has this gay couple in lead stories that usually isn’t about them being gay. Yes, Will’s father disapproves of his son's relationship with Robbie, but their lives and stories are much bigger than...

Hollyoaks bosses have previously teased that Ally is hiding a secret, which will become clear on screen in the coming months. O'Connor told Soaplife of the upcoming revelation: "All I can say is that there's a very big, meaty storyline coming up for him and I'll be in the show at least until the end of this year." Asked if Amy could be hurt by Ally's secret, he replied: "It would be nice if she wasn't, but this is a soap - and soaps need drama." (more)...

Hollyoaks' new recruit Dan O'Connor has predicted that it won't take long before his character Ally finds romance in the village. The former Neighbours star joined the cast of the soap late last year and viewers will see Ally's first scenes in a fortnight's time. Hinting at what the future holds for the new arrival, O'Connor told All About Soap: "There's definitely potential for a romantic relationship developing between Ally and someone, but my lips are sealed on who it could be!" Ally sets up home in Hollyoaks as a new lodger for Rhys Ashworth (Andrew Moss) and Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper), but the pair's neighbours Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and Amy Barnes (Ashley Slanina-Davies) are particularly intrigued by his presence. "Both Ste and Amy take an instant fancy (more)...

When we last saw Brendan and Ste they were headed for Brendan’s place for an evening getting to know each other between the sheets. And while things start off in a good place for them, it naturally doesn’t stay that way….
You know, I always found it funny that Hollyoaks has this unwritten rule about gay love scenes. They have never been shy about showing men in bed together, but they always have one guy with his shirt on and the other with his shirt off. To me it makes no sense. After all, we see these men in the sack, being intimate and it’s clear they just had sex. Having one of them wearing a shirt just seems odd. Ah well, it’s a small quibble. At least gay characters on European soaps get to have sex. And they don’t even have to wait two years.

Former Hollyoaks star Sarah Jane Buckley has revealed that she is keen to return to the soap. The 41-year-old actress, who played Pe teacher Kathy Barnes on the Channel 4 show, admitted that she has even created a storyline which would see her character causing trouble for ex-lover Mike (Tony Hirst) and daughter Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies). Speaking to Holy Soap, Buckley explained: "I suggested, and I haven't heard anything back yet, that I should come back, demand to have the babies from Amy and have a young toyboy, which would throw Mike Barnes into a right tizz. "I think it would be an amazing storyline for her to come back and cause loads of trouble in the village with this (more)...
