"Today, we are officially from here on out, the Garcia Twins - Brie and Nikki Garcia," Nikki said. "Our listeners and everyone in the world right now is asking, 'Why?' M. Night Shyamalan‘s latest, Knock at the Cabin, showcases the director’s ability to build suspense through dynamic camerawork and composition. The home invasion thriller, which sees a vacationing family held hostage and forced to make an unthinkable choice, eventually gives way to a contemporary biblical tale.
Shyamalan immediately hits the ground running in his latest movie, wasting no time and cutting straight to the suspense-driven home invasion. He makes the single cabin location visually interesting, injecting taut tension and terror, something common among his genre films.
No matter the story or its tone, Shyamalan can wring potent chills from just about any scenario. To prove it, we’re looking back at five of the scariest moments from Shyamalan movies.

The Goldbergs said goodbye to Murray, their fictional patriarch, during the season 10 premiere Wednesday night.
It’s a farewell that balances the long-running ABC comedy’s signature sense of humor and its ’80s time period with an authentic look at the emotional range of grieving. It’s also a character send-off that follows former star Jeff Garlin’s exit last season after an Hr investigation and multiple complaints about his on-set behavior.
The aptly titled episode, “If You Build It,” sets the stage for the Goldbergs family, and ultimately the show, to build (or rebuild) their lives — and a show that will draw viewers back. It opens with a Patton Oswalt-narrated recap of the months between the season nine finale and Wednesday’s premiere. Through a series of speedy sequences, viewers get caught up on each family member.

The Goldbergs are saying goodbye. In the season 10 premiere of the ABC series, which aired Sept. 21, Adam (Sean Giambrone) reveals in a voiceover that his father Murray (Jeff Garlin) suddenly passed away. "Just a few months ago, out of nowhere, we lost my dad," Adam said as the camera focused on his dad's empty recliner. "We will always love you, dad. Always. And we will find a way to continue on together. Because, after all, we're the Goldbergs." As the family copes with the loss of Murray, they begin giving away his belongings, including his recliner. However, Pop Pop (Judd Hirsch) removes it from the garbage, saving it so that Erica (Hayley Orrantia) can use it as a glider in...

Like The Conners and Two And a Half Men, ABC’s The Goldbergs dealt with the controversial exit of a lead actor by killing off their character off screen.
The fate of the Goldbergs patriarch Murray was revealed last month by showrunner Alex Barnow who said in an interview that Season 10 will pick up several months after Murray’s death.
That’s exactly what happened in the Season 10 premiere tonight, which addressed Murray’s disappearance in the voiceover opening, in which Adam recapped what the various family members had been up to over the summer with a focus on major changes in their lives.
“That year, there was one change that made everything stop,” Adam said as the camera slowly panned from one side of the living room, where family members were coming and going in fast-forward, to the other, where Murray’s favorite chair stood empty, while the music changed from frantic to somber.

Doom Patrol Season 2 Episode 7
As its title suggests, Doom Patrol gets pretty dumb this week when the manor experiences an infestation of microscopic beings that feed off of bad ideas, but which reveals Miranda to be an effective primary. Meanwhile, Cliff rockets back to Earth, and vows endlessly to kill the Chief, who is seeking answers in the Yukon, and Rita decides to shadow the Cloverton beekeeper for her community theater role. And once again, Doom Patrol hits us with a silly episode that still manages to push character development forward – even for Willoughby Kipling — and unveils more of Chief’s plan for Dorothy.
“Dumb Patrol” introduces the pink-skinned microscopic beings the Scants which, as a 1950s health class PSA from the Knights Templar explains, implant very bad ideas into infected humans, who then produce “uma-jelly” upon which the creatures feed. Bad ideas as a weapon is incredibly effective,...

Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds #3 is a hard boiled detective story...in the way only the Doom Patrol could deliver it.
A good adaptation will make you reexamine (or reevaluate) the source material. This is why Doom Patrol will endure as a great TV show. It revelled in its comic book-iness in a way that no other comics TV show would ever dare, and amplified the things about the comics that made them so unique. Gerard Way, Jeremy Lambert and Nick Derington have been turning that comics-uniqueness up in Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds, the Young Animal return for the series, and in this exclusive preview, Steve Orlando and Evan “Doc” Shaner step in to add to it.
Steve Orlando is quietly one of the best writers in the business and definitely one of the best things DC has going for it right now.

Doom Patrol stays hot as Gerard Way's beloved run continues, along with a pair of new Young Animal books
Hot on the heels of the critical smash DC Universe original series, DC announced the return of Gerard Way's Doom Patrol and his pop up imprint, Young Animal. The new book, Doom Patrol: Weight of the World, will be on shelves this July. And much like the last imprint, it looks like we'll be getting some other terrific books out of Young Animal as well.
Way will be sharing writing duties with his co-writer for the final issue of the last series, Jeremy Lambert. Art duties for Doom Patrol: Weight of the World start with James Harvey, and taken up by other folks later in the run like Becky Cloonan (Eisner-nominee for Conan the Barbarian), Doc Shaner (close your eyes and imagine the best Shazam comic you've ever read.

As previously reported, the world of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps will come to life in comic book form this Halloween season, but the frightening, nostalgic fun will continue on the paneled page next year, too, as Idw Publishing has announced another three-issue Goosebumps comic book story, "Download And Die!", that will be released in 2018:
Press Release: San Diego (October 5, 2017) – Idw Publishing, in association with Scholastic, is releasing the second three-issue arc in R.L Stine’s Goosebumps comic series. “Download And Die!” is a brand-new self-contained story set in the Goosebumps universe from the talented duo of writer Jen Vaughn (Adventure Time) and artist Michelle Wong (Tomboy).
In the tradition of the classic “Say Cheese and Die!” story, this spiritual successor takes that concept and puts a digital spin on it for the iPhone generation. Today’s kids will now have to contend with a smartphone app that snaps...
