Besides its banters and humor, The King of Queens cast contributed to the show’s success. Although a relatively unknown actor at the time, it’s hard to imagine someone else doing justice to Doug Heffernan’s character as Kevin James did. The King of Queens originally aired from September 21, 1998, to May 14, 2007. The show revolved around a Dink couple, Doug Heffernan and Carrie Heffernan. Carrie’s father, Arthur Spooner, also lived with the middle-class couple. While these three were the show’s main characters, the episodes also included friends and co-workers. With the show’s finale airing on...

Doug Heffernan won’t be sittin’ in traffic on the Queensborough Bridge tonight — or any time soon, for that matter.
During a sit-down on NBC’s Today, Kevin James ruled out the possibility of a King of Queens revival, for one reason and one reason only: “You cannot do it because of Jerry,” he said, referring to the loss of his beloved co-star, Jerry Stiller. “How do you do that without Jerry? He was amazing.”

Kevin James is not exactly a name that comes to mind when one thinks of the phrase "movie star." People of a certain age probably picture the lovable everyman Doug Heffernan from his long-running sitcom "The King of Queens," but a great many others will probably think of two words: Paul Blart. Be it solely for the memes or because you're one of the many moviegoers who genuinely enjoys the film, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" was a bonafide hit that started a franchise and, though it may not be how we generally think of him, asserted James as a butts-in-seats movie star.
The 2009 comedy centers on Paul Blart (James) who dreams of becoming a State Trooper. In the meantime, he patrols the...

The King of Queens wasn’t a rating juggernaut. Still, the series was popular for CBS in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The show followed the lives of a married couple, Carrie and Doug Heffernan, as they adjusted to life with Carrie’s father, Arthur Spooner, living with them. While the series focused on the trials and tribulations of married life, there was one aspect of matrimony that the show did not explore. Carrie and Doug didn’t have children during the show’s initial run. The production team opted not to give the couple children partly for syndication purposes.

King of Queens focused on Carrie and Doug Heffernan as they navigated married life after Carrie’s father, Arthur Spooner, moved into their basement. While the series, at its core, was about marriage and family, several important supporting characters rounded out the cast. Doug, in particular, had several friends deeply involved in his daily life. One of those friends, Richie Iannucci, was a regular at the Heffernan house until he suddenly wasn’t. Richie disappeared and was never spoken about again. So, what exactly happened? Larry Romano, the actor who took on the role, asked to be let out of his contract to pursue another part. It didn’t turn into anything big, though.

King of Queens ran for nine seasons. By all accounts, the show was a successful one, and it still has staying power today. Available for streaming on Peacock, there has been some renewed interest in the classic series. Watching episodes in quick succession makes glaring mistakes a bit more obvious, though. With every binge-watch, a new continuity error is discovered. We’ve collected the King of Queens’ three most egregious continuity errors for your consideration.

As The Walking Dead begins dropping its Season 10 bonus episodes, we have our first casting for the AMC drama’s 11th and final season.
According to our sister site Deadline, Blood & Treasure‘s Michael James Shaw has been made a series regular as Mercer, a mohawked former Marine who, in Robert Kirkman’s comic books, is the leader of the Commonwealth military and, ultimately, Princess’ boo. If the exceptionally grim Reapers introduced in Sunday’s Season 10C premiere last the season, the badass could be key to eliminating the threat they pose.
