The new Allison Winn Scotch novel, Time of My Life was acquired by The Weinstein Company to be produced by ex-Miramax production exec Meryl Poster ("The Cider House Rules"). After publishing her debut, "The Department of the Lost and Found" in 2007, Scotch seems to have found her niche in dissecting the lives of her women protagonists, and even though the books have wildly differing characters and story lines, the basic idea to come across for her women characters is to never have any regrets. In "Life", she tackles a happy, if maybe bored, with "too-much-time-on-her-hands" syndrome infected housewife who, by the power of a massage therapist, gets transported back into time to relive her decisions and realize, or not, that they were the best ones to make.
