European development programme Less Is More (Lim) has selected 16 feature film projects for its 2024 edition, including titles from the UK, Ireland, Greece and three from Ukraine.
The titles include Isla Badenoch’s UK feature Whisperer, a BFI-backed production about a neurodiverse teenager whose relationship to horses helps her navigate the joy and pain of growing up.

Talent Lab Connects (TLC), Edinburgh International Film Festival’s development programme, will now take place online following the postponement of the festival due to the Covid-19 shutdown.
The programme of script editing and mentoring support for alumni of the festival’s Talent Lab will run from April to December 2020, with all workshops and mentoring taking place remotely.

The Canadian Features selection includes Michael Dowse’s Goon follow-up The F Word, Xavier Dolan’s Tom At The Farm and Chloe Robichaud’s Sarah Prefers To Run as well as work from Jeff Barnaby, Bruce McDonald and Bruce Labruce. Also receiving its world premiere is All The Wrong Reasons featuring the final performance by the late Glee star Cory Monteith.
