- AJ is a native of Jackson, Wyoming. He grew up a student of sketch comedy, writing and performing with a youth drama troop in national competitions; winning collegiate scholarships. He eventually found his way behind the scenes as director. While in College on a fine art's scholarship, AJ made the decision to devote his efforts full-time behind the camera.
AJ founded AdoubleJ Entertainment (AJJ Entertainment LLC) in 2008 while in Graduate School. Soon after the company's founding, AJ got his first break when he was asked to produce and direct a national commercial spot for Mycocide. The spot played nationally on CNN and a number of nationally syndicated shows for a period of 2 years.
During his at Chapman, AJ worked on more than a dozen short films (producing, writing, directing, etc) under the tutelage of such notable filmmakers as Alex Rose, Bill Dill, and the late Tom Mankiewicz. After completing his MFA at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts as well as an MBA at the Argyros School of Business & Economics, at Chapman University, AJ continued to produce and direct industrial's, commercial content, and behind the scenes for multi-million dollar features.
Over the past 4 years AJ has authored three film funds for private clients that have been used to raise equity investment. Additionally, he has shot EPK's for indie feature films, and worked as a coordinator in a variety of departments on red carpets and live television events, including the 87th and 88th Academy Awards (Red Carpet & SciTech), 2014, 2015, & 2016 Billboard Music Awards, 2014 & 2015 BET Awards, Super Bowl 50 Live from Super Bowl City, 2015 NFL Draft (Red Carpet), Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, and the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Heisman House to name just a few.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Harold Sanchez
